You can get a Yamaha 270 that has twin 1200 cc motors in it they can do 65 to 70 mph depending on water conditions and you should be able to get one of those under $10,000 all day. Long in great condition. I had one in 2000 and I was going to 60 mph on the knee board. While my step dad was driving it.
built a modest 385 sbc 425hp for a 22' crownline bow rider bravo 3, for a barefoot skier it only does 60mph. But it gets there pretty quick with 28p the 24p is a jetski rocket out of the hole. The bravo 3 takes a lot of power to push it past 60mph
425hp and it runs 60mph, My Four Winns H220SS with a Volvo Penta 350 with a twin prop does 60MPH with 300HP. I would think that horsepower would get you into the 80's.
@@jafo4u508 its a heavy deep hull crownline with bravo 3, they hit the wall @60mph unless its got a blower. The old motor was 300hp mpi mag 5.7L far as i know it topped at 55-60, but with the 425hp 385 its much quicker to 60. I actually talked to him tonight he wants to put a supercharger on the 385. I know a guy basically same boat and bravo 3 he has a 780hp blower 454 and he claimed it only did 74mph. Those bavo 3 are not efficient on top end. Im not sure on your volvo on top end but i think they are little bit better in every aspect
@Johny Cash First boat so honestly I have no clue if the dual prop Volvo Penta is better on top end, it seems so because I am not even close on horsepower, I bet the sound is priceless on those motors you built.
For that price you can almost buy a 20-30 year old legit offshore powerboat. Donzi, Scarab, even an early cigarette. Or you could buy a nice vdrive flat bottom for that price
Was on a rental boat, a 18.5 searay with a 4.3merc and it would do 55mph. It also held way more people had amenities and was way more comfortable. Purchase price is way cheeper
This is for people who don’t want a “fishing” boat. A 15-30 year old bass boat for half or less of the price will perform just as good if not better than that

My nova ss Spyder had a bravo 2 out drive Chevy 350 ran 60 in 2 -3 foot seas ,loved that boat 20ft with cabin full canvas cover could run wide open 5 adults out of weather .

Lol We make these ourselves in a shed here in Seychelles...and amounts up to 15k including the engine...and yes its well made we're quite proficient in it.
Lol I have a 2000 Yamaha LS2000 with 2 modified jet ski engines in it. I bought in 2021 for $6,500 including trailer. On our reservoir, wife and I hit 62 mph. Get about 55 with 7 people.
I got a kayak with oar I can paddle the shiznit out of. Make this look like a paper boat made from a McDonald’s receipt. Hear the banjos. Paddle even faster.
Or spend $20k on an RXP-X 325 and slap a tune on it for $500 and go 86+ mph on something far more fun and agile with 6 or 7 times the power to weight ratio.
