Hey guys! In this video I show you how I go about making my rhythm tones, as requested by some. This is my first tutorial, so I'm not very great at this (yet). So, what's up next?
Very usefull tutorial, I met much difficulties this year to understand how to use this device, if you could make a tutorial that explains how to create a clean tone tutorial for double tapping parts such as Animals As Leaders's in Soraya, would this be possible?
I hardly use any post EQíng in my DAW, just a low cut to make room for the bass guitar, and some small surgical cuts to fit in the vocals. I didn't EQ anything for this tutorial, this is the raw sound.
***** ok thankyou mine not sounds like your i have a shecter damien elite whit emgs =( but i dont have pro speakers im try your tone conecting direct to pa system i copy all your settings and sounds muddy and whit low drive
carlos vega EMG's respond very differently compared to my pickups. Active pickups usually react very well to compression, so you might wanna try putting a Tube Compressor before the tube screamer.
@@Madjenta just jamming. Its only a 1x12 with a v30. This tone is close to what I'm wanting. Also having trouble dailing my 8 and 9 string tone. 8 string tone is pretty good but not what I want. 9 string tone is just ok. The 8 has blackouts but I have bareknuckle juggernauts on the way finally. The 9 has emg 909s. I either want 909x or fishman moderns that are offical but not released yet.
@@AaronMorgan666 I'm using Lundgren Black Heavens in my strandy 7 right now. Amazing pickups. I bet they can make you some sick 9 string pickups as well. For 8 string tones I'd say add a bit more treble and dial back the bass. Maybe a bit less gain. It's all twisting knobs until it sounds right to you.
@@Madjenta on the dual rec model i have mids maxed, presence is around 3 o'clock. Treble around 3 o'clock. I'm just confused when it comes to using eq pedals on the pod. Does it make sense to use a boost and eq or is it either or? I have a precision drive for my boost. I have all the stiff I need for tone but not sure how I'm using it I guess. I do tons of research. The only think I'm not doing is i don't use a computer. I'm trying to get a computer/plug in type tone but with real gear. Well besides a real amp. My amp is a hybrid. 1 preamp tube and solid state power section. Its a mini dual rec. Joyo zombie. I have a mooer brown sound 3 (evh 5153) and the hd500x. I just keep tone questing. I use the fx return of the joyo zombie to powe the pod and the mooer preamp pedal.
@@AaronMorgan666 if you're using a precision drive, you can skip the noise gate and tube screamer in the effect chain. I'd say maybe a post EQ would be a good idea but it really depends on your cab.
I'm getting a Strindberg Boden os 6 (six string) tomorrow and I'm using the hd500x. I'm wondering if this fantastic tone would be just as good for a six string or do you think some tweaking may be required because of the higher register of the guitar? If so, who adjustments do you think ide have to make?
+Jordan Gaboian Fantastic choice of guitar man! The tone might need a little bit of tweaking. Perhaps add little more low end. Largely depends on the pickups and the wood your Boden is made of. All I can say is see what sounds good to you.
wtf im doing wrong? you got the perfect hard metal-tone i was searching for and in my opinion i did the same settings like you but it sounds just a lot of more harmless :P 1 different is i just have the "F-Ball Pre" because its pod hd 500x
If you have a Pod HD500x then you SHOULD have the regular "F-Ball" amp, not just the pre. Also, the only reason why you don't have the "amp parameters" is because you're using the "F-Ball Pre" which is a preamp, and not the power amp simulation included. I'm assuming you have figured this out by now, but I just wanted to resolve this issue.
