i won´t share tones and i won´t give specific settings. i´m just giving you some basic approaches here for you to enjoy experimenting with this stuff on your own. / fortiori.de
Your video helped me out a good bit, I would have never thought to try any of this until it came up in a search for synth sounds with the HD500X. I really want a Boss SY300 and am not ready to purchase yet, this will tide me over until I make my decision. More than 6 years after your original post date its still useful. Thanks
I really love that when you said you won't share the patch , as a guitarist myself i like your way because Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. Once peoples learnt they can create even more... in lifetime and not only this unit.
This was immensely helpful! I like your patches, and the process you show does produce a generally good result with a lot of room for creativity. Also, I was able to use the specifics on screen to test further details about the sounds, and that's awesome! Thanks kindly!
Thanks for posting this video. Tomorrow or saturday my Pod Hd 500X will come and I can't wait to try these tones as a stepping block as a starting place. I knew the pedal could do synth and clean ambient stuff but idk know it could do it so well. I figured the tones would of sound a bit weak, but you proved my thoughts all wrong thanks for sharing. Oh I have a request I was wondering if you can make a video on a Djent Bass guitar tone. I want to try to create one and I heard that there is a bass amp and cab now. How does the bass sound on the pedal? would love to hear back from you and your thoughts. Thanks man for posting these videos your great at what you do. I'm going to have an endless arsenal of sound just by your tutorials as a starting point and a guide to begin with tones.
You are correct, just for an experiment I did try that and connected my POD to an M audio interface. When recording I enabled my M audio interface as the device for recording. and to my surprise, the tone was a bit louder however there was a lot of feedback issues and crappy noise lol. The reason I was wondering was because I read that Nolly and Misha were using a Firewire to connect their Axe Fx. But whatever, it may be a misunderstanding,.
Think about it. If you connect your HD to an interface through the xlr out you will go through the PODs AD/DA converter and the resulting signal will be processed again by the AD converter of the interface. I am pretty sure this will degrade the quality of the recording.
Because it's easier to lay down melodies on an instrument you're familiar with. It's also a lot easier than using a piano roll and meticulously programming every note which can be very time consuming.
Hey Johnny, the amp settings on the clean+ambient sound heavenly. I'd love to know them. Is there anyway you could message me the amp settings? I used pretty much the same setup as your clean+ambient tone, except I got rid of the digital delay, added in a cavernous reverb, and put my own settings on the amp with the 409 dynamic and a bit of room. Sounds great.
Have you shared any of your tones on the Line6 forum? I would love to download that some of those. I'll try building it, but not knowing what I'm looking for until I hear it, and not being a keyboardist, it's easy for me to spend most my time trying to dial in a tone or figuring something out instead of working on my tunes.
Your tutorial videos on the pod hd pro have helped me made the decision to buy the pod hd pro x, I can't wait to try it out! What is the main difference between those two, the x is just a newer better model?
Hi! These are some great sounds! I'm wondering if you experience a delay in the response of the synths to your playing. It happens to me and makes it difficult to play in tempo. Do you have a way of avoiding this? :)
This might sound awkward but, would you sell this bundle of FX patches? (Glenn DeLaune sells his bundles thru his website and PayPal) If you do, lemme know and thanks for this video :)
awesome!!! thx man. I was looking into the 500x and then this video said pro, so I wondered if it can do it. I love these synth sounds especially the dreamy one around 6:40 and nice bass tutorial video. thumbs way up
