I think Jenna is absolutely correct in saying that gaming and the Twitch community in particular has become a fantastic social outlet for her. She doesn't have to be Jenna Marbles, the RU-vid icon on Twitch, she's "just" Jenna. Julien usually is the lead role on those streams and he is the one usually on camera, and I would bet that it's very relaxing for her to be able to play, talk to people and have a good time with almost no pressure to meet other people's expectations.

As someone with severe anxiety, specifically social anxiety, gaming lets me have friends. Honestly, I don't have friends in real life! I stay home all day, never really go out, and don't really know how to meet new people. I will admit, I am a little awkward online, but to me, it feels so much easier to open up and let myself be me when I'm playing one of my favorite games with someone I know enjoys it as well.

The bargain bins and stuff at Ulta are grrrrreeeat and I've found a lot of good dupes there. But I like Sephora better when wanting specific items the one near me is more organized than the Ulta in my area. Ulta employees are nicer imo

I like Sephora’s selection more, but Ulta’s point system is far superior. I have over 2,000 points saved up at Ulta and that’s equal to $155 off my purchase. Meanwhile 2,000 points at Sephora gets me a couple sets of mini products.

I prefer Ulta because of the point system and coupons but also they have a wider range of high and low end products. My Ulta happens to be a lot bigger/nicer than my nearest Sephora though.

sephora is more expensive/has more 'high end' makeup than ulta. the way i see it, it ulta is the midway between drugstore makeup and sephora makeup. all are good and serves a purpose.

Medieval Cringe I’ve worked in the makeup industry and little info about it, is that ulta definitely charges more for the same stuff Walmart stocks. Also, they don’t treat their employees very well. They work long hours and aren’t promoted adequately. Sephora takes care of their employees for sure, they get tons of free stuff, an amazing discount, there’s a lot of room to grow there too. I try and shop at Sephora more simply because of the way ulta treats their employees. If you google it, you can confirm this. Not trying to argue with you at all, a lot of people don’t know this so I figured I’d share!

Gaming is 100% social. But just like anything, you need to have limits to the amount you do it. Playing online talking to friends whilst you attempting to complete a task, is a social activity. If going to a sports game or a cinema is, where you sit down and barely have a conversation the people you’re with is, then gaming is. Even if you’re only into single player games, if you’re friends are even slightly interested, you can talk about what you’ve done so far, what you think of the story etc, like you would any TV show. Gaming is social, if you make it. Just like anything else.

I love that you're talking about social gaming. I'm a get lost in the sims for 7 hours type of gal, but my boyfriend is a gamer and he plays in fifa leagues and is a hardcore gamer, and it is amazing the relationships he has created with people! People that you would have never have met in any other lifetime and I think that is fantastic! love gamer culture.

it’s so cute hearing you guys talk about how much you love pubg and to know (not that i personally ever thought you were) that you’re not doing it just for the money. that you guys are doing it because you enjoy it and love it and have made new friends. also, many parents used to make the argument “you never know who you’re talking to online” so they are skeptical in that sense with their children playing online with strangers. but it’s so very different now that you’re physically talking and can hear them versus just typing back and forth.

Honestly, thank you guys so much for the chill conversation. I just turned 27 and I’m feeling like life’s too busy, and everything’s moving so fast that time flies by and morphs into years in the blink of an eye. You truly made me feel not alone and understood. Even these podcasts are so social! Yeah it’s not real time, but I love feeling exhausted from work and in bed hanging out with you guys! I feel like I get to be a part of this giant dink fam right from the comfort of home. ulta has a better it cosmetics selection and also if I need to buy things from the drugstore and high end I go to ulta cos it saves me from making two trips. Ulta also has more sales than sephora which is nice, but ultimately i like sephora.

I think gaming is very social. One of my best friends I’ve had for years I met on Minecraft way back in the day. We don’t play it anymore but we still talk everyday. We always message each other excited to play the newest video game together. And our relationship isn’t based around video games either like we help each other through our life struggles and stuff. I’m so thankful I met him because he’s never made me laugh like anyone else. And when I think back to my best memories in life I always think about when we would play video games together because it was so much fun and I would even like pee myself laughing it was that funny. So I believe video games are very social because you meet all sorts of different people and have all sorts of hilarious conversations while your trying to work together to achieve the goal set out for you.

Sephora is way more expensive than Ulta. They carry some of the same brands, but Ulta over all has a better selection price wise. Lol

What I love about video games is that everytime I play a match with my friends online, it feels like we're hanging out in real life. When we hang out in person it feels so similar which is really awesome to me.

By the way 99% of makeup or skincare has a little stamp of this like open jar with usually 3/6/12/24 months which is the shelf life once you’ve opened them

Savanna Fleming I'm happy that I'm a lazy with just an eyebrow pencil and eyeliner pencil. I sharpen the gross/make it sharp every other day or so. Always fresh :)

The shelf life of beauty products is always on the back of the product in the little bottle symbol. It’s always in months and it starts the first time you use it. ❤️love you #dink

I had a whole lecture in college on the social benefits of gaming and how it can even be traced back to cultures thousands of years ago that used games to improve social dynamics within their culture, it's really fascinating!

Omggggg I can’t even tell you how much I relate to the hilarious and embarrassing hickeys on your neck....I went on a bumble date and woke up the next morning with a small hickey on my neck. You talking about Europe is just making me teary-eyed because I live here in Poland, that you have probably only ever heard of because of ww2 or recent judicial system scandals, but there is so much more to see here, a lot of unique architecture, especially in my city, Toruń. And it just makes me sad that we are never on anybody's bucket list and that you, Jenna and Julien, you will probably never visit... 😢 Just wanted to say continental Europe is incomparable to the UK, what you fell in love with in Portugal has its own renditions in all the other countries in Europe. You would like it so much, also money-wise Poland would be a steal because the dollar to złoty (PLN) exchange rate is like $1=4 PLN. A girl can dream...
