This week on the podcast we try to do both!! We just the 'WHY' behind calisthenics as a whole but they go into what the 'why' is for each of us, how it's different for everyone and how it's changed over the years for us all.

Why calisthenics? Because: 1. It's cheap,an average person does not need expensive gym memberships and fancy machines when they can not lift their own bodyweight with a simple pistolsquat 2. It builds real skill 3. Creates immense body awareness and funcional strength, with machine squats, you lift with arms and back, with a humble pistol squat you can't cheat 4. It's immersive and huge fun in a way that traditional gyms aren't

@@OwenJackson Hello, I train with the system of Dejan Stipke Stipic. Now, I have dropped weights entirely, at least for the moment, and I work on bodyweight explosiveness, and I do all with resistance bands for time-under-tension, going VERY VERY slow, and mind-muscle connection. The result compared to traditional gym training is 1000% goals achievement.

Hello folks. Inspired by you, I took the rings into the gym for the first time in ages. Really depressed that I couldn't even manage an inverted Tuck!! So I can't even stroke the cat, let alone skin the thing 😂 Is it str8 arm Scap strength I'm lacking? Can you rec some exercises to address it please? Scap pulls/holds are a regular in my programme already I don't wanna be totally useless at the workshop on 6th march 😂😂
