The enneagram isn't about defining your personality tho. It's about identifying your core desires and fears and working to build towards a healthier mindset based on that. The personality description is just general traits that you as that particular type probably have, but not all of them are completely accurate to your personal experience. Even within the types there are huge differences in personality and it can all change depending on your dominant wing and subtype too. And depending on where you are on the health scale can change your personality too. If you're a really healthy representation of your type, you're going to look different from a really unhealthy representation.

As someone who loves the Enneagram, I knew this podcast would infuriate me so i actually avoided it for a while. Those quizzes are always crazy and they barely go into the DEPTH of the enneagram, a lot like how just knowing your birth sign barely explains how in-depth a natal birth chart actually is. I stg I could probably tell you guys what your enneagrams are in 15 minutes of chatting and asking those questions, and then spend the rest of the time explaining what it means and why its important. So frustrating that this app that you guys PAID FOR gave you so little in response. It didnt even give you wing options of your type! You can get more off of a free website like Enneagram Institute or Oceanmoonshine enneagram blog. Anyway Julen is a 7w8 and Jenna is either a 6w5 or a 5w6 which essentially means Julen hates being bored and is scared of slowing down and Jenna seeks knowledge and finds fear in the unknown or not having enough information to tackle an issue. w8 means Julien is competitive and takes on leadership, driven qualities and Jenna has a w6 because she is compassionable, loyal, and strives to make lasting personal connections THANKS FOR COMING TO MY ENNEAGRAM TED TALK.

Honestly pretty surprised with these results. I’m coming back to all of these videos after Jenna left and finally got here. I find that the enneagram tests are highly accurate and with a surprising turn of events, I think they did Julien wrong, but I also think he looked way to much into these questions hahahaha. It’s a lot easier to take these questions on instinct and I thought Julien would be great at that but he was very very thorough with his answers and that maybe messed up his results a little. Truly I think Julien is an 8 wing 9. As the app states everyone has a bit of every type and I think Julien really embodies that. But I think he also embodies the whirlwind and strength of type 8s and the empathy and kindness of 9s. It also makes sense that Julien is put largely (in my mind) with the types of the body, who’s main negative emotion tends toward rage. The body truly resonates with Julien in a way that is clear to me from an outside perspective. I do think he is 8 wing 9. I’m quite impressed with Jenna’s gusto whilst answering the questions, and I think that is why it was more accurate for her. For her, I agree with 5, but I think she is a 6 wing 5. Her connection to her own mind makes it clear to me she belongs in that part of the triad. The anxiety and fear in her that translates to her ‘me time’ and indecisiveness makes it clear to me she is a 6 w5. I’m so impressed with each of them and their delve into their brains!!

enneagrams are so interesting. the band sleeping at last has an entire enneagram series of songs that correspond to each type. they’re supposed to speak to you in a way that’s supposed to be a pretty deep cut. they also have podcasts on every single type as well. so glad you took the enneagram!

It's taking a lot for my little 9 heart to speak up. But Jenna and Julien! Please! Look into other websites and even other quizzes! The descriptors are not like other personality quizzes that are there to bullet list your traits. The enneagram is an attempt to find what motivates your behaviors and what drives you. It seems to me, and this may have already been mentioned, that the app you are using is fun, but not giving a good explanation about healthy vs unhealthy characteristics. The more "undesirable" traits that yall read and don't feel connected too may be what the unhealthy or stressed version of your number would do rather than something yall would do on a daily basis. www.enneagraminstitute.com/type-descriptions If you go here, towards the bottom of each type there is a break down of those levels of health. Also! It could be very interesting if yall read about your wings and how the numbers connect. I heard you mention that in the beginning, and no, not all the numbers connect. Each number has 2 numbers you can merge into depending on if you are stressed or if you are growing. Like with Julien's results for example, 2 and 8 are connected, so reading about that may be interesting! Hope I'm helping and not sounding like a major dork. Thanks!
