I love how these pattern review videos can be so inspiring and expose me to designs I wouldn't necessarily seek out proactively. Have you ever considered doing a review video of men's patterns? I'd love to knit a garment for my husband, but I'm not sure where to even start looking for patterns. I've seen what petiteknit has to offer, since I love her too, but I'm curious what else is out there!
I currently don't have enough experience knitting men's patterns to feel confident filming a video review! However I have knit the Hanstholm and Zipper Sweater Man by Petite Knit for my husband. Both great patterns but in general my husband found them snug! I'd recommend them but maybe size up
Oh Amy your shawl looks beautiful and the colour so nice on you wow♥️ Your socks are pretty !! You and your hubby and family have an amazing Christmas 🎄 🌲🎄😊💝
Thanks for mentioning the Mother Knitter shop. I'd never heard of them before. It's so nice to know where I can find some of those yarns without having to order from overseas. I love that they carry ChiaoGoo needles, too. Those are some of my favorites. Your projects are all so lovely! ❤
Your Boho Blush Shawl is beautiful. I love the color and textures. I get those bumps with the YO stretchy bind off. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one!
Always a pleasure watching your podcast Amy. I'm knitting my first Oslo hat and totally enjoying it. Gorgeous yarn and loving Sari Nordlund Turtle dove shawl. Happy Holidays until next time.
Love your boho blush shawl. I dont knit shawls, but yours looks so good, ill put it in my favorites and maybe, some day...Also love your xmas socks! So beautiful with the texture and red contrast😊
I'm loving how the turtle dove shawl is coming along! I'm going to cast it on soon! I have some leftover yarn that would be perfect for it! And I agree, I think it would have been too busy if she'd done a different motif for each section
I'm with you on the Abby Gernser. I have fell in love with it also the first time I've seen it!! I saw someone on Instagram knit up a light pink version with white stripes and its on my 'To Knit List' 😍😍😍
Just had the thought that I need to purchas that booklet, only to realize I already own it 😅 I made the Brook cardigan and Highly recommend it. Wish I had made it in another colour though, as Black doesn’t show of the pattern that well. Hope you have a happy holiday ❤
Hey Amy, I really like your channel :) I just started my boho blush, and I was wondering - did you have any issues with the edge being too tight/constricted? I'm being mindful to not pull the edge too tight but I'm concerned that the shawl won't be able to properly stretch out. I'd love to hear any tips/advice on the matter if you have any, thank you!
Happy new year's to you. You mentioned the October sweater, as it calls for mohair and Isager fingering weight. Would you say this pairing creates a dk weight fabric/results. I'm not sure about wearing mohair here in California, so woul like to use a substitute if I can with sandnes yarn. Thanks for the Mother Knits tip. Freat website!
Merry Christmas to you and thanks for all the inspirations in your podcast. It really a very strange procedure of sandnes Garn. You don’t get the pattern book without buying the yarn ! Ridiculous, how would one know what and how much yarn needed if you don’t have the pattern first. Gives me reason to boycott this company.
I am relatively new to the English knit community and what I have always wondered: In MKAL, is the clue a real "clue", as in "you have to figure the stitches out yourself by solving a riddle etc."? I mean, it probably isn`t, but if it`s not, then why is it a "clue"?
It’s called a clue bc you usually don’t know what the project will look like. There are typically no pictures and you just have to knit to find out what it looks like
