The first few months at college were really hard, I could hardly eat and I felt so depressed. I literally sat in the middle of my dorm room one day and rocked back and forth crying because I was so lonely. That day I decided to walk down the hall and see if anyone had their door open and two guys had their door open and were playing video games. I ended up playing with them and they became my first friends there. Fast forward to now, I was introduced to one of their friend’s and am getting married to him in less than 20 days. And my first friend at college is in the wedding party.

I’m taking a Climate Justice class at UCSC and in walked a man with a Jenna Julien Podcast long sleeve and a neat dude beanie. Represent.

As someone going to college soon, that college talk, in the beginning, was so helpful and nice to hear. It has been really been stressing me with the change and it is nice to them hear talking about it.

Yo, on the getting active thing, there’s an app called Zombie Run. If you like walking/running and zombies, then this is the app for you. It basically simulates a game/ zombie apocalypse and motivates you to run/jog with a storyline. It’s like a real life video game, but just with audio.

Also, I love the E Girl blush Jenna! You rock it for sure!!

Lol my chef dad did the catering for my wedding and I'm vegetarian, have a couple vegan friends, and my MIL is celiac, I made sure at least half of my delicious wedding food was both vegan and gluten free!

Things I’ve learned to look for in online workouts, since I’m beginner at most exercises and live in an upstairs apartment: ‘low impact’ in the title (no jumping = quiet), a warm-up at the start and a cool-down at the end (for cardio), verbal instructions that explain the moves so you don’t have to stare at the screen (vs. just music), and a trainer that shows less advanced modifications/emphasizes that you don’t have to go as far as they do. When I find a video that hits all of those points, then I look at the channel to see if they have more like it.

Wish I had this advice back in the day. I’m also a 33yr old lady, and my parents made me feel they really needed me to stay and help pay for things, so I never got the college experience I always wanted. However, everything that happened, brought me to where I am now, and I wouldn’t change it for anything.

Tbh, there's no reason for Jerry Seinfeld to not have Jenna on his Netflix show. He's presented all of the traditional comedians and he should be branching out to non-traditional comedians to bridge that generation comedy gap. Jenna might not consider herself a comedian but she really is the best representation of the younger generation and internet humor. Somebody start that tweet to Jerry!

When I moved out (for college) I struggled SO MUCH after going home for Thanksgiving. Then a week later, totally fine. I couldn’t wait to go back to college during Christmas.

I lived in the dorms for 2 years when I was in college and we had 5 roommates. The good thing was we had bathrooms in our rooms (it’s the little things I guess lol). I loved college and going back to campus is something I do once a year just because I feel like I found myself there and it will always hold a piece of my heart

Hey Jenna, Hey Julien I left a comment like this a few months ago. Today I went through a really impossible breakup with someone that I still really love, and he really loves me too. This was the man that I had begun to plan my future with, and unfortunately things just really didn't work out after my mental health got in the way. We had a completely happy relationship and it honestly broke me to have to break things off because I am struggling mentally. I want to check myself into a mental hospital, and thats not something I want to drag anyone I love with me through. I'm going to miss watching your videos when I check in, because you guys are a constant in my life that bring me back to a sense of comfortability. Even after how awful today was I got to smile and laugh with you, and be reminded that things aren't going to be like this forever. Thank you for all the happiness and laughter you bring into the world, and for being such genuinly incredible human beings. I'm sorry I'll miss a few podcasts and wednesdays once I'm checked in, but I promise I'll catch right back up, enjoyably so. Thank you. Love, Ski
