Go out and look around. The vast majority of people you see are obese or al least over weight. People do not need to be fat shamed BUT being over weight is not healthy and leads to a host of illnesses. When you look around you can see all the unhealthy people without taking a blood test or a fitness test "NORMAL" for the average American is "UNHEALTHY" The health of society is in decline.

I just want to thank you. In the past month and a half I have been listwning and taking notes on how to improve my diet. My diet has done a 180 and my anxiety is nearlt nonexstant from a state of me panicking nearly ever month. My blood pressure seems to have been the culprit and everyone was shocked when it was measured and it was slightly low. I have had hypertension my entire teenage and adult life. I switched to a walking desk recently because my desk is hitting my shoulder which i had injured and my enegry is also through the roof. I eat as much as I want whenever I want and as long as it is whole plant based foods I feel just great! I've also lost 10 pounds! I just wish I could get my family to make these changes as well. At least I can give them the information and visual proof.

Low-fat diet is the best thing you can do for your blood vessel health, being extremely hydrated and doing cardiovascular exercise to absolute failure. At least once a week will give you maximum results, Carbs FTW!! 💪💪💪

What about studies showing dha/epa supplementation is important. What about studies showing olive oil has numerous health benefits?

Daily exercise is key to as healthy life. Ride a bicycle to school, work or for fun. Riding a bicycle is a great way to exercise. Ebikes are bringing many older adults back to cycling. Cities need to do more to encourage people to ride bicycles. Safe protected bike lanes and trails are needed so adults and children can ride safely. Speak up for bicycles in your community. Bicycles make life and cities better. Ask your local transportation planner and elected officials to support more protected bike lanes and trails. Children should be riding a bicycle to school and not be driven in a minivan. Be healthier and happier. Ride a bicycle regularly. Make a bicycle your transportation option for short distance travel.

E-bikes do unfortunately not require effort or excertion, they do NOT have the same positive impact on your health as 'regular' biking.
@KJSvitko
@KJSvitko Месяц назад
@@nessieness5433 Most ebikes are pedal assist and require you to pedal and exert effort. They provide assist on hills and when extra effort is required. This is great for older adults and helps keep them strong and active as they age. Regular biking is great but ebikes help put more bikes on the road.

Depends on where you live. I'm from Florida where it's flat. I couldn't imagine trying to ride a bicycle in West Virginia.

Regarding Peripheral Artery Disease (warning: soapbox ahead) If you have an older, low active/mostly sedentary person in your life, encourage them to get the test. It's quick and painless. Basically it's taking your blood pressure at your arms and lower legs. My MIL died from PAD and she was in otherwise good health. When I asked her doctor why she was not tested sooner he said she never complained of the main symptom-leg pain with vigorous exercise that stops when the exercise stops. She was an older lady who did no vigorous exercise. That's their main criteria to get it on their radar. She'd had a triple bypass years before and every year the vascular surgeon gave her a clean bill of health but no one thought to check her legs. She lived on her own, had her own business, drove her own car, except for nighttime cramps in her legs she felt fine. Until she didn't and ended up in the hospital then hospice. Once it got bad she was gone in a month. She could have easily had another good 5 or 10 years. Get your loved ones tested.

I live in a fire zone and yearly our summers, on and off, can have smoke-filled air. It will be interesting to see how much it may increase heart and lung disease in this area in the future. I've actually seen a rare person smoking during these smoke filled days, uck.

Given the small number of subjects and the short duration of the study, 15% isn't a bad result. And that was only one serving a day.

Are you talking about cooked or raw beets?
@carmadefries3729
@carmadefries3729 Месяц назад
Either works, although the study he cites is about adding a cup of beet juice to your diet daily. Eating a couple beets (raw or cooked), supplement, powdered… it has all shown benefits. I’m assuming eating actual beets would have the most benefits, regardless of raw vs cooked, but assumptions… 😅 Chances are he has a video on it if we look. ❤

So inspiring and fine direct advice - 🙏for all the research and sharing - I love beets, both raw with garlic and a bit of lemon, or microwaved with a few drops of water and sometimes baked in the oven - always without added Oil or fat of any kind - I make a dressing from one slice of organic orange with the Peel and a few walnuts or a spoon of freshly grounded linseeds - and I eat whole food starch Based whole plant food inspired from dr Neal Barnard, dr McDougles, dr, William Li and dr Peter Rogers and Chef AJ - 🎶🍀🎵💚🐸
