This is an unused theme from Touhou 3: Phantasmagoria of Dim Dream (been corrected that it's just an unused character theme) Who would this theme fit anyway? Possibly Kana...
I looked up the meaning of Starbow and found out that it "represents ambition, independence, strength, reliability, determination and professionalism". Dream meanwhile can mean vision, fantasy, muse, and contemplate. I don't know the Touhou universe very well, but when laid out like that, the only person that comes to mind is Hakurei Reimu.
imo, it sounds like it would've been for Mima. Just listening to this part 1:05 sounds like a part of reincarnation. it does have some sort of "charm" to it though through that intro as if something grand is being introduced
Oh my god! I love how much you can hear Cute Devil ~ Innocence at 1:05. It's amazing to see that the melody spawned here, and that ZUN liked it so much that he incorporated it into LLS.
Sounds like its a theme for an unfair fight. I’d imagine that could be used as chang’es stage theme. Her power could be that she gets stronger the more individuals she fights. Or something along that line. Royalty does have its perks. And her now deceased husband threw a sun onto kaguyas son. Course it can’t be permanent.
How much I wish it was able to at least mute the background music and not the whole sound of the game so I can have this playing during a fight without fully depending on my eyes to dodge the bullets ;-;
Oh, this is Rayowa's theme, the Storm of Unchanging Miseria ~ Starbow Dream. I liked this song when I was a child. Well... now it's a little bit repetitive, still amazing.
@@TheLugiaSong I forget her dialog, but she had blonde hair and a shiny bow (the archery kind, not a ribbon). One of her attacks I remember liking was where she shoots three arrows that stick at random points on the screen border, a triangle forms between them, she shoots loads of bullets into it and they bounce around for a few seconds before the triangle disappears and they fly everywhere. She was described as "making a hobby of unfortunate spaces", whatever that means.
Multiversal collapse theory part two. You're from the dimension where they called what we call the Berenstain Bears, the "Berenstein Bears" aren't you.
ZUN's comment about the track: "A very spacey(?) song. I don't make many songs like this one. It's the only one that really seems like it's a STG song, but (because of that?) I tossed it. (Because there aren't any characters that fit this song!)"
ZUN said the song sounded too much like a STG (shooter game), which was probably the reason why he scrapped it. STGs of the time were those futuristic space shooters, and Touhou is supposed to be a parody of the genre, not yet another STG. :P
Well that's the thing, this theme won't fit any Touhou character lol. Touhou is supposed to be a parody of shooter games (which were typically those in a futuristic setting in space), just like how the Earthbound/Mother series is a parody of RPGs (which were typically those in a medieval setting). This song sounded too space-y, which was probably why he scrapped it. :P
