can't disagree there. groudn slam may do more damage but this... this is just way too cool. and more damage uptime on bosses? I'd say that more than makes up for the less damage
It plays really well, clear packs offscreen even before you leap slam to that pack. There's also a tip of aiming slightly behind bosses so they get hit 3 times instead of first and third since the second fissure always travel away from first target. Aiming slightly behind means it will travel back to the boss even after hitting it once during the first fissure. Have fun!
Holy fuck, I have never seen a more satisfying, destructive slam showcase! Would you be willing to make an updated build with the 3.25 changes in mind?
Finally! Some attentions to slam! Slams are the most satisfying builds in PoE imo. The feel, the sounds of explosions are so impactful and powerful. I always make a slam build every league. Idc if it has buttons, the mechanic is engaging and i enjoy it alot.
Cool video, I have like zero desire to play melee build or slam skills but this was really fun to watch! Sunder and that Volcanic Fissure just look so badass to play
I am addict to slam. The reason for me is because it's such a display of power. I feel so powerful slamming the ground and destroying everything in front of me. It just feels so good
same here, shame it's incomparable to meta builds like TS or HB, they have giga tons of dmg, a lot of speed, good clear, good single target any off-meta builds seem to be much slower and hard to get all-rounded like that
@@vwvwvwvvw6143 Melee in general has been butchered patch after patch for some reason. It's still viable, but definitely not feeling as good as bow or poison builds nowadays! I mean, if we look at the top melee skill, boneshatter. It's good but not even close to other top meta skills
For Volcanic Fissure you can hit up to 3 times with the 20% quality but you need to attack behind the enemy. So the enemy take the fissure damage then the skill will go on the enemy taking the "volcano" damage and then the skill will go randomly in a direction dealing the fissure damage again.
if you dont mind me asking where is your testing on the transfigured ice crash since it appears you did all slams except for that one. or the consecrated path for that matter
Thanks for this! Volcanic seems pretty insane, in trying that for sure. Is there any way to speed up the jumps? Gem doesn't have Duration tag right? I league started the new ground slam and transitioned into vaal gs with hateforge. It's pretty insane tbh, just a very reliable skill.
I’m new to POE I’ve gotten to level 34 following your build on pobb still have no real to understanding of cluster jewels. is this build a viable starter? Ive been cruising with volcanic fissure of snaking. Do you have any tips for leveling? I’m having a good time so far.

Thanks for this video. I was about to give up on my strength stacker berserker because it kept dying. I put in volcanic fissure snaking and it solved all my problems. It auto targets attacks and is distanced "melee". Christmas is paganism.
I may have to go this route with my Marauder... annihilating everything with a slam and the explosions would feel so... "God-like"! Kind of like a "Thanos Snap".

This looks pretty min maxed, whats the experience getting to this point in investment. I know this is a slam demo but you did show gear so keen to know if i will dig my eyeballs out until i get this this.
Once I got a good weapon from the market, it was okay to run t16. Before that, I was struggling in t10. Other gears except weapon was cheap enough. Only I paid most is the forbidden jewel set. (2div each) I agree that gear explanation was too quick. I'm sorry. You may refer to the pob for the detailed gears. But there are some gears that is not min-maxed yet. You can upgrade them.
I've been playing these on jug with the AOE scaling, its hilarious. you can get 1 ascend 6% per endurance, then 3 charms and a jewel (each 6%), and so 30% aoe per endurance charge. 10 charges is 300% increased AOE before you've even added support gems 😂 That also carries over to herald of ash and shockwaves for monster clear.
Have you tried volcanic fissure of snaking with that? More importantly I want to know, are the explosions big enough to hit one target 4/5 times in a row? (assuming 20/40% quality)
On one hand I looked at the video and was like "WHAT THE FUCK THAT'S SICK", but than I remembered that the warcry piano, the slow clear speed and that tornado shot exists.
So what is the problem with the fissure and the penance mark? As I understand it, the slam should jump between each phantasm and theoretically overlaping the boss between them.
@@Snyo I'm currently planning ignite build with this skill that uses controlled blaze, because this fissure can damage the boss 3 times (or more?) in a row. I wanted to know if blaze charges count if the skill was triggered by Tawhoa Chozen?
I am following this build and although I am having fun with it I am being one shot so I am taking another look at my defenses. One thing that puzzles me is that you have blood rage set to left click and the game won't allow me to do that?
for the leap slam go for reduce stun threshold and double stun, stuff like that, and make sure you are immune or have layer of defense from being stunned yourself. then you can leap in and out of danger safely because they are stunned longer than the attack speed of leapslam, add bleed then you can jump around doing more damage to bleeding enemies watch your DPS ramp way up. im running leap slam with warcrys of corruption right now, its extremely fun combination of buffing myself while damaging the enemy making them bleed corrupted blood til they explode. fun.

It is viable. We can achieve 100% conversion to lightning due to physical to lightning support gem and glove conversion. But you may lose herald of ash buff which gives some clear speed.
Really cool! I tried to league start tectonic slam of cataclysm jugg, but gave up at level 85, it was too weak (i blame it on the fact that i suck at making builds). I might respec it chieftain and give your build a shot!

i tested these in ssf, that sunder is the original version of Sunder. i think it might be best used as dual wield full attsack speed, not so much war cry just a guess
First, I would upgrade my chest with thick armour or fourth vow. And get some resistance, flat phys on the ring. Also, I would swap belt to Ryslatha's Coil. But these changes are not pob'd, it's just a theorycrafting.
Is it me or is Melee worse than spellcasters in terms of damage and ease-of-play in POE? I have played boneshatter, cold elemental dot and now a detonate dead and my worst experience was with boneshatter. Its stupidly hard considering enemies hit you harder in maps that matter and your dps lacks in contrast to spellcasters. Im steamrolling through the game with Detonate dead at the moment as the damage you do is insane and melts bosses and mobs fast which means that my defences do not need a heavy investment as with melee builds. Does anyone else feel this way?
FYI: Sunder of Earthbreaking does not overwrite itself if you recast it. This means you can scale it with attack speed like pre-rework Sunder. This is more the intended use case, I find it hilarious it's semi-viable on a warcry slam build like yours. It's designed for something totally different. I'd either do Slayer or Champion and scale AS and maybe Impales, or I'd just do Jug and scale AS and AoE.
@@vynze Regular Sunder stops bursting if you cast a new one. It has the line akin to "minimum 2 bursts", which means that if you spam it, you'll produce at max 2 bursts from single sunder. If you wanted sunder to travel far, you'd need to wait for it to finish before slamming another one Transfigured one does not have that limitation
I tried to go some melee/minion hybrid builds this league because i always end up playing slams but not loving it... maybe its time to just go back to slams lol
How do you get this kind of performance on POE? I can run Cyberpunk on max settings no problem but my game will fucking stutter, freeze and crash horrendously if I try any kind of high clearspeed build.
What graphics API are you using? My friend complained recently that he can barely hit 60 fps, turned out his game was set to DX11. The setting is under Graphics -> Renderer - he switched to Vulkan (you should restart the game after switching the API FYI even though it's not doing it by itself) and he instantly hit 120 fps without drops
Tectonic slam of cataclysm is also so much fun to play, but you kinda need to play jugg for it. Currently in the process to just stack as much damage in the first hit as possible with the tincture that grants +25% to crit against full health enemies and your attacks can't be evaded while on low life.
Yes, you can. With upcoming 3.25 changes, I'm expecting exerted slams will be super powerful. But this video is just a skill testing, you may refer to other vid for progress. Be aware of the boots have also changed in 3.25.
@@recklessone This skill is useful from the early stages, so you can start using it as soon as you get it. It had decent damage in version 3.23, and in version 3.25, its damage effectiveness has nearly doubled. It will deal a lot of damage.
For Volcanic Fissure, does quality stacking to 40 allow it to hit three times? My theory is that it can 'chain' back to the boss after it chains away and hits nothing. So in theory four additional eruptions is the next breakpoint
So if you stack enough AoE you can hit the boss 5 times instead of 3. AoE per endurance charge should be good enough. And i think we can carry the damage to the moon by str stacking as jugg.
