Hey! Now its being two weeks since posting the video, but it randomly showed up to me on youtube and at first I was quite skeptical, but saw some comments on it, and decided to tested it out. And yeah, as some said, even a "nerfed" version of this strategy works wonders! Didnt get the "non-favoured maps change to currency" because I'm trying to get Elder/Shaper boss maps, nor could I afford Horned scarabs, but even without using three Lineage Scarabs, I could get 32k gold in just one run! Also without activating Bismuth(was testing if i could run the map or not). I'm using a lvl97 RF Chieftan, and was able to clean the map while risking some survival for the quantity/rarity altars. I'm glad I could find your video before I gave up on the league mechanics(was having alot of trouble getting gold). Also, yeah your filter is really super strict, the drops outside gold are really good with the amount of quantity/rarity stack, but also really hard to see anything. But hey, once again, great video. Thanks for sharing the strategy
@@ChronicPainless mageblood doesn't make builds better, it makes the game better :D this league it's pretty easy to make currency for that. just send a 50kk shipment, get 2-3 mir shards (2,5 on avg) and some other stuff like div, power runes or good tatts etc - there's 30-50% of a mageblood already. grind the rest with mappers and your throwaway red maps if you make this much gold per hour. regular T16 atlas strategies net 6-10 divine per hour as well. Better ones with a good build about 12-15. it is not as easy as it was in affliction or necro league but it's still easy. Hard mageblood was Scourge league with this damn belt costing 1,6 mirror. Archnemesis league wasn't much better. Apothecary card wasn't added to the game until Sentinel.
Nice content here. Never seen you before on my feed, but this was really informative to see a gold farm focused strategy in T16. One thing I noticed - strongboxes are pitiful for gold drops in your footage. Another thing I knew before this but will share: delirium monsters don’t drop gold at all. The deli might scale gold drops from natural mobs in the map, but the deli mobs do nothing at all, so don’t waste time opening eggs etc.
I think strongboxes may be a little visually deceptive, since they are one of the few times that monsters are actually spawning on top of me instead of blowing up at the edge of the screen, so a lot of the gold will instantly be picked up and not create those big white boxes. In my testing they've provided very solid value/time, but perhaps it's worth revisiting. Delirium is all about the innate quant bonus, there's a palpable difference between the first and second half of the map even when the altars are absent.
@@ChronicPainlessdid you mess around with the sulphite scarab giving 50% quant to monsters? No clue how many it affects. I tried to combine it with harvest (didn’t work like with affliction) But might work for gold farm from regular monsters
Tried this out today, worked great! I was going to try modifying the tree and scarabs a little, take out at least 1 risk scarab for a Harvest duplication and adding harvest nodes to the tree. Although we lose some quant for gold, I think the tradeoff of utilizing the quant on the map to get a pile of juice is reasonable to offset the cost of the magic monster scarab (right now 3:1 Div). Harvest synergizes well with packsize/quant.
Yeah I think I rushed a little on this take. I had done a really good one that actually only took 36 minutes to a million, but my OBS settings were messed up and it was unusable. I'll try to pause more and make sure to read out the whole names of things in the future.
Just got my RF Chief to almost immunity to everything now. Gonna set this Atlas up and give it a go with Hinekora, Death's Fury. Shield Should be fine for speed.
Definitely worth investigating, but I'd worry about losing out on those 3 shrines, it's already close between the value from 3 domination scarabs and the risk scarabs.
Well done. The ceiling for gold farming is actually really high. I was making 200k per map in t17 using a similar strat but adding scarab of glittering. Those 200k were without mageblood and goldflasks, and actually with -60% player rarity from kalandra jewelry. Given how easy t16 look for you, you might wanna bring the strat into t17.
Interesting, my own tests with scarab of glittering showed maybe 10-20% improvement over this setup, so they didn't seem to be worth the cost at all, but maybe in t17s it's a little different. My big fear about t17s would be that you get so many boss-reward altars if you can't effectively rush the boss, and pure glass cannon really only works in the fortress. Might have to try it some more though

Think i would change your delirium nodes for spawn chance over to threshold mods and simply dump 4-5 delirium orbs on the maps to make delirium appear. that way you had a guaranteed delirium but could free up a few valuable atlas points to allocate them towards delirium reward nodes. Another idea for those freed up atlas points could be to spend them on the harbinger nodes to get 2 guaranteed harbinger spawns on top. With other words remove the 4x 8% spawnchances for delirium and the 4 nodes leading to That Which You Seek and put those 8 points into Ominous Arrival, the 3 nodes giving 15% additional harbinger chance and First Wave node.
@@AB-pj7mc the only issue with deli orbs would be corrupting to 8mods after making it 4x as expensive, and I think the misses would be too tough for my mappers, unlike the regular ones.
Tried delirium with permanent mirror. seemed to make less AND slower, even though since the consensus is that rarity affects gold drops - delirium SHOULD add more gold with quant and rarity. It was also far slower.
Yeah I didn't like the permanent mirror at all for this use case, but I'm fairly certain that the delirium bonuses are applying in general. You can always tell in the loadouts that have a little extra boot shape at the end where the delirium effect is maxed

At current prices in Settlers trade this is around 62c per map. So roughly works out to around 1c per 1.0-1.3k gold give or take assuming you're getting 65-80k gold per map. My initial reaction is to wonder gold is worth 1c per 1.2k or so. Genuinely unsure as I can arguments for an against it. I feel like the opportunity cost of making currency some other way might be the main argument as to why not. Meanwhile the main argument as to why is probably because people hate FOMO and value eliminating it. I could easily be way off though, curious what others think.
@@sqrlmonger to be fair you’re also running exceedingly juicy maps. You can easily trade off a little gold for some currency as well by going for ichor/scarab altars. With the huge pack size the gains are quite substantial
@@ChronicPainless Fair, and I did notice you are filtering in HH/MB potential drops so you have the chance for big jackpots that could justify it over 40 hours of farming and it wouldn't show up here.
right now it shot up to 105+ chaos per set of scarabs alone ... assuming you get 65k gold on map that would before net 15k thats 50k gold extra for 100-ish chaos = 500gold per chaos invested
It's not. There is no better way to spend gold than trading with faustus and you usually don't need any more gold unless you're bosskilling OR using town. Town is useless for anyone aside noobs. You only ever do town if you want to play the game and have fun or to do challenges. And if you want to have fun with the game I don't think you're going to have fun being forced to farm for your workers instead of doing what you'd like. If you're doing that for challenges you don't even care or hate it. Gold itself is worth a lot, like we're talking 3-4k can be easily 100c when trading proper items. Thing is you get way too much to only trade and way too little to have a full town operating. Not even close to do both. You should always farm what you like and do proper gold strategies only if you're bosskilling or flipping hard
These gold strats all depend on how fast a build can clear maps not much about the strats. I forexample tried this and got 50% less gold than just farming strongboxes, not to mention 150% magic scarab is expensive af. the +1 mod scarabsx3 are nice but on 8mods they put no leech on the map a lot which is the only no-go for me. I'm pretty sure most gold comes from gold flask on mageblood tho.
While I appreciate the hard work and amazing number of gold, Horned Scarab of Bloodlines is crazily overpriced ATM at around 75c. For the whole set up it costs around 110-120c per run. Not too sure if that's worth the extra gold and something you want to keep doing, but if you only have an hour or two for POE every day this absolutely saves a lot of time!
Toxic Sewer t9 exile + rarity 300%+ I am pretty sure that strat gives more gold, chance for t0 (got one in fewer 40 maps) and shit ton of t1s. Also paired with ritual, it can be nice jackpot.
I got like 60k gold with a similar strat, and only one covetous near the end, and one multi altar near the middle. The only difference is scarabs, which are much cheaper. Lineage, shaper, influenced pack size and shrine. Last one can be invasion or wisps. Rarity chisels can help too.
@@timothybradford4 there’s gonna be lots of variance with a Strat like this. Eldritch packs, quant altars, covetous, bismuth. Sometimes you hit them all, sometimes you don’t
This was a weird league for me economically. I missed league start weekend, so I was playing from way behind for a week, finally started to save for my headhunter, and then my mappers brought me a mirror. I’m gonna post a sanctum video soon I think
Interesting, someone else suggested that as well. I'll have to give it a try. I wonder if it's worth swapping a risk scarab or two for a domination scarab but still taking the Twist. Trading two shrines for one mod didn't seem worth it, but maybe trading 3 (from the device) for 1-3 from the keystone is better. Still, I'd want a few minimum shrines for the speed/covetous. Worth investigating!
@@ChronicPainless yeah you want some shrine scarab, I skip Scarab of bloodlines (because it gets expensive eventually), just juice the packsize and amount of magic monsters. Since its like 13modded map, its shitton of pack size and rarity/quant, but its RNG when you open the map wether you can do it or not on your build (no regen, no leech, reflect, reduced buff duration) especially when you are scaling explicit effect. But from my experience, Twist of fate prefers to not put brick mods on the map (happens maybe once every 5th map)
@@noobkaka567 I tried this out, and the mods aren't a problem, the problem is that it takes you out of the Jungle Valley, which is absolutely crucial to the farm. If it's not JV it might as well be a T17, because Boss-Reward Altars are in play.
I'm sure this is a great strat for this. Now sure why I'm watching though. You are playing an entirely different game than I am. Totally unreachable for a player of just a couple hours per day.
i guess the thought process i was thinking of was correct with it being magic mobs over rares or uniqures with rogue rxile ruckus. im still wondering about how Ritual can play into it as well with allowing you to dip into monsters multiple times as well. maybe a Dom / Ambush / Deli / Ritual setup would be best.
You can just skip the horned scarab. It'll hurt, but the cost goes way down. You'll probably go from 1 mil in about 40 minutes to 1 mil in about an hour (assuming same speed). Still 100% worthwhile imo.
How often do you find yourself dying? I'm trying out cold BV this league and phys max hit seems to be a problem. Same with trying to cap spell suppress where it feels like i should just try going block based with an Aegis Aurora instead.
Not too often for my tastes, but I'm also very partial to the glass cannon style in general. If you want to try a block version, consider willclash/ralakesh and lots of power charges. I had good success with that a league or two ago.
Oriath's end could help, but the AOE shrine is hardly a necessity. The shrines are there because they bring tons of instantly killable (and often magic) monsters, and can be covetous shrines that give lots of quant.
@@ILikeGuns1992 Just the recovery on kill from the unnatural nodes has been plenty for me. Once in a while I'll have to hop in a quick portal if I forget that I have the mod and waste all my ES on an empty section towards the end of a map, but I can't think of a time where I died because I couldn't cast. If you're not playing BV it's a different story, but I really only need to cast once every 3 seconds or so
I tried this strat. One thing to note is that the Horned scarab is realy expensive. 1 div for 2-2.5 scarab. If you don’t get lucky with shrines and ore shrine you can sometimes only get 35k gold. For me the strat is not worth it because its so expensive.
Wow, the price really has doubled overnight. There are other ways to stack magic monsters, like alva temple, but none have been as effective for me as the scarab.
Yeah I definitely see a small return overall from selling T17s, Ichor, and the occasional big ticket scarab, even with the ludicrously strict filter on.
Cold BV, but it's the explosions from the Crusader Chest, Herald of Ice, and Herald of Ash that are doing 90% of the killing (which is why I don't bother with item rarity support)
So I have made some adjustments - and am averaging 60k per map. My changes come from the Risk Scarab (too many mods brick my build) I am running: 8 Mod Toxic Sewer Regex: "!tal d|eec|s rec|gen" "d mag|nu" "m q.*(\d{3})%" - 100%+ Quant Avoid: Ele Reflect/Cannot Leech/ Less Recovery LOOK FOR EITHER: Magic or Rare Monsters Scarabs: 2x Risk 1x Horned Bloodlines 1x Horned Nemesis 1x Monstrous Lineage The only change I made to the Atlas was to take forever Deli
Ritual and beyond seemed to increase gold per map slightly, but slowed me down overall. I don’t think I tried forcing ritual without running the rituals though
1:25 why not get Twist of Fate? you're 2 atlas points away from it. It'd give your maps 1-3 more modifiers. Is it just not wanting to deal with different map layouts? but interesting strat.
It's not about dealing with the layouts, jungle valley has far more quantity altars because you don't get boss altars. Also twist of fate gives a random corrupted map that may not even have 8 mods to start with, so you rarely wind up with more than 8 from the extras
If you're interested in the build I suggest checking out the discord, and mageblood is absolutely not mandatory. I play one character per league and start using BV in act 6.
Yeah you could certainly layer anything onto the core, but unfortunately delirium, covetous shrines, and increasing magic monsters won't affect the harvest.
I would but I have custom sounds saved on it (turned off for the video). It's just uber-strict+ with a few extra things removed: Mid-tier multi-base Uniques Currency below Grand Ichor value Mid-tier scarabs Contracts

@@Spyzzibaby I don't really know what that could be then, if you're doing 8-mod quality JVs with those scarabs and decent rarity you should be stacking gold like mad
Can't deny it's not an everyman strat with the scarabs of risk, but you can get a lot from just domination scarabs, and even drop the delirium, and should still be pumping several hundred K/hr.
@@ChronicPainless realistically speaking most build have to drop all difficult scarabs cause there are a lot of mods that break them. Anyway the info about magic monster can be applied even to easier mechanics
@@dariolatorre2108 Yeah the real surprise combo was Magic Monsters + Bismuth. I had been leaving bismuth until the end of maps for safety at the beginning of the league, but boy was that a mistake when magic monsters were in play.
The POB was a direct export of the character just after I recorded the video, so not sure what the discrepancy is there. For poeninja, it’s been a week, so naturally I’ve gotten some upgrades. I only ever play on one character
why dont u use your flasks ?! and other people are saying that rare mobs give similar amount of gold compared to magic, which seems reasonable. Are you 100% sure magic mobs > rare mobs?
The mageblood makes it so the flasks are always "on" and what makes magic monsters special is that they get boosted by pack size and then get supercharged by bismuth.

I don't think I skipped very much at all, if anything I was wasting time licking the bowl clean at the end. You can scale this strategy down to whatever level you can farm. My filter was extremely extremely strict just to showcase pushing the limit of gold-maxing. T17s would maybe be more gold per map, but would be slower, much harder, and may not even be that much better because the blue altars will have boss mods on them (unlike Jungle Valley)

Bro im trying to figure out how i craft the shield i mean the weapon i could do prefixes cannot be changed reforge crit or something and then can have up to 3 crafted modifier prefixes cannot be changed and veiled orb slam or something idk but the shield i tried different things but i dont know how to craft it can you help pls :D
