Thanks for a great guide, I managed to earn enough for my first ever mageblood within a week with this strat (with some slight modification for my own enjoyment) :)
Using the cheap scarab setup and I must say this stat is good but more importantly it's fun. Thanks! I am getting a good amount of gold and shaper guardian maps as well
Thank you for the vid! I have bounced atlas idea to atlas idea and never enjoyed the playstyle. This is exactly what I was hoping for. It's not raining currency, but it's very consistent and I even dropped a near perf Svalinn which sold for almost 6div. I ran 10 maps and made about 18div (~20div in loot, minus the 2.2div in scarabs/etc).
Really doing great with this strat, fast mapping, many maps and give you many other thing with how much twist of fate give rarity and quantity on map, thanks a lot for sharing this!
Just kiddin' haha. I've been farming them since day 3-4 and funded a decent build out of it. I'm going to stop for a few days and see how the prices adjust, especially since fubgun also released a video earlier. Alch and go shaper guardian rota until then. You literally can't lose currency with it.
I do this with harvest to get an extra divine or 2 in about 3-4 maps. I know that’s not great per time invested but it’s a nice chill sale to add on a few divines. Great video, although I was doing this already I did learn/get a few new ideas from ya👍👍
i just tested out the corruption key stone boys and if ur target farming maps dont use it because it randomly changes maps too i put in strand i end up in lair etc. if u wanna have a low investment farm strat then go for it but its not good for farming specific maps like ziggurat. btw i noticed i get a ot more gold coins doing this because of the mods rarity quant etc. so if u wanna farm cheap gold for kingsmarch den tdo this.
3 maps is a very low sample size, it should be closer on average around 50-100 samples at least. But be careful - if it is not working for you right now dont overforce it since prices / rates can change. Cheers!
i only have 2 watchstones and not using any scarab.. doing like 15 maps and manage to drop 4 tier 17 maps lol , its actually pretty cool since i put zero budget on it.. also i always love the shrine atlas node.. its literally give you a free mob pack and some powerful buffs
Well, in the ARPG all drops are a little RNG gated to be honest. But if price is a little too much you could go with less expensive strat ( I have a few there). Cheers!
I don't know if i'm just super unlucky, but have been trying something really similar and didn't get any t17 in like 40 maps.. :( Hope I will get some soon.
Thank you I needed to get away from Harb farming its just not doing it for me anymore lol.. I actually thought i was done with the league last night until i happened upon this strat going to do it
Hey Ron, this strategy has been working out pretty well for me. I wanted to know if you'd recommend a strategy that involves running the T17 maps and what that Atlas tree might look like? T17 maps will not open on my map device with this tree. My goal is to run a few T17 maps here and there when I have a large surplus then sell the rest.
Nice to hear it is working for you man! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7g4RUBn2K1c.html that video contains some T17 strategies and i will probably work on more of those later on. Hit me on Twitch if you will have questions too www.twitch.tv/ronarray
Thanks for this it looks really good so far but I may not have understand something about Maven influence. Are we supposed to witness all our map bosses ? Because once it has been witnessed it can't be anymore, the option is disabled. But I think I'm missing a simple key point there... Thanks for your content so easy to understand and accessible !!
With 'Twist of Fate' your map will be modified unpredictably, so it will become probably any possible map. So you don't need to worry much about rotating maps, just 2-3 types, just in case that you encounter one of you them with maven and this map will no longer be possible to attract Maven. It happens rarely.
well if you read the node..."3% increased effect of Explicit Modifiers on your Maps per 5% Map Quality" it has nothing to do with chisels since the maps are already 8mod rolled maps with qual on them
what a bullshit commentary nice try but is not possible to drop that in only 1 map, u can only maybe drop 4 with the great luck of double 1 and another T17 map, but because is a fact that after first T17 drop the chance is VERY VERY LOWER to get another map, SO 5 COME ON PLEASE ^^
@@ronarray I did 25 maps and 3 t17 loot drops. 2 Multitudes and twist of fate. I Might have done something wrong. I will try again and report here, I'm sure it's a good strat
It was a really unlucky streak. I did 12 maps and got 8 t17 😅. You need big samples for everything in poe. Thanks for the start, it is generating thousands and thousands of gold
If doing on 8 mod maps of the same layout without twist of fate, unfortunately destructive play wouldn’t work. Not unless you’re doing 8 mod conqueror/guardian maps. I’d LOVE to do this Strat exactly as-is on jungle valley only but maven will refuse to spawn after the first time. I’m toying with the idea of swapping to altars for quant instead. Thoughts?
You could just run 8 mod silo maps. Drops Fortress. Just leave after the first phase of boss. She spawsn the extra bosses and you can just keep runnign it as long as you dont kill the silo boss.
@@yrudonking nice one! I knew of the silo tactic but didn’t put it together with this specific strategy, that’s smart. Always hated that boss but here’s a time she can serve for good…
just a feedback for you, i am running the same strategy as you, just with jun i am already getting 1 x t17 map per 3 shaper map without scarabs. not sure if i am lucky. i have been running for 3 - 4 days already
@@ronarray alch and go. i tried mixing in other mech, ambush, essense, harbringer and they required scarab to run, i just dont want to bother with adding scarab into my run. i feel jun is the best profit for me if i hit veil orbs. if not for the exp. other mechanic may just cause me sudden death.
Thank you for the video! Do you know if the “connected map drop %” nodes do anything while running shaper guardian maps? (Assuming I’m not using twist of fate). I know it’s a slightly different strat but I can’t find an answer anywhere!
Why does toxic sewers have to connect to the hard t17 crash one Ugg. Melee small aoe killing me mentally in melee hehe. Also I seem to only see a t17 in about one out of 3 runs. I had some bad runs where only one reg corrupted dropped thinking maybe loiokjng for a mechanic to add to this for the pack map scarab costs as is a or 50-60c a map I am liking seer though, less rippy and a bit more forgiving to melee😀
Dang, i got 3 strats gone less profitable in 2 days from appearing in yt vids. Time for making sanctum mymancave for currwncy farming for the rest of the league
@@ronarray dw it's just natural market stuff, highly profitable strats work best the less ppl know about it, but when one becomes popular the market creates gaps somewhere else
You are not supposed to run 8-mod maps with this strategy, right? Since Twist of Fate completely randomizes the number and type of mods on corrupted maps. So if you put in a 4mod corrupted map or an 8mod corrupted map it doesn't matter, Twist of Fate is gonna Twist of Fate and randomize everything anyway. Right?
twist of fate seems to be a bad idea if youre running 8mod maps i assumed that since its 8 mod maps, plus 1-3 mods from twist, +1 from risk scarab, you could get 12 mod maps but no, twist of fate rerolls the number of mods on the map as well, ive ended up with some of my maps being 6 mod, even worse than if i didnt use risk and twist
@@ronarray ive done a little more digging and it seems that you cant get 12 mod, when twist of fate rerolls maps it chaos orbs them, meaning the base map is incapable of rolling any more than 6 mods so the max you can get with twist of fate is 9, plus scarabs of risk regardless of what map you put in, it will have 5-9 mods, plus scarab of risk so its barely ever better than just running an 8 mod without twist of fate
@@vincentgrinn2665 interesting, i tested both and didn't feel a difference, but thought that was just me. Feels like the node is good maybe early league if u have no currency ?
hi, thx for video, now i farming your stacked deck farm, yesterday it get me arround 30 div+harvest which i use to craft, can i farm this if use your cheap endgame build? wouldnt i die every map with maps mods haha?
After the rework, everything is balanced around you using them. You kinda have to, or you're losing so much value. Idk how one could hate doing it, it's as simple as putting them in the map device and doing what you were gonna do anyway. Just gotta buy a handful and go. No difference compared to before, except it's even easier cuz no sextants.
@@taylon5200 exactly... I have to buy something, put something, remove if I change something, yada yada. so hard to understand about it not being alch and go?
From my personal experience I disagree about Cartography Scarab of Corruption. If you have valuable maps favorited (Strand/Dunes/Jungle Valley/Toxic Sewer/Defiled Cathedral/Beach) then you can sell these maps very easily for ~11c regex, and a good 80% of 8-mod maps will be suitable for someone's regex. And even the non-regex ones sell for 7c each. you get 6-12 of these every map, it is a huge chunk of profit. Every map you are going to get ~0.3 divines worth of 8-mod maps which is quite a lot considering how fast it is to run these maps without mechanics. Not to mention the sheer convenience of supplying your own 8-mod maps. The only real downside to this is needing to bulk sell maps, so you need to be willing to make a listing on TFT every few hours while playing, so if you are not wanting to deal with TFT you shouldn't do it.
For this Strat we are focusing on getting Elder / Shaper / Sirus maps to run and T17 to sell - if you want to farm corrupted ones it will be better to use another setup. prices of 8mods are not that high and selling process is very inefficient.
@@ronarray i mean i have lots of 8 modded Jungle Valleys because i farmed with Corruption Scarab, i wanted to capitalize on that stock , my other maps are not so well rolled :D
Im pretty sure shaper/guardian maps scarab fucks this strategy because a map can either convert to shaper/elder or to a t17, a map cant ever convert to a shaper/elder then again convert to a t17.
It is important to understand which conversion is rolled first - so first check - IF the map converting to T17 -> if yes it just converts, but if NO it has a chance to convert to shaper / elder etc instead. But AFTER T17 check. You can check it yourself since in my experience adding this scarab had no effect on my average T17 drops over 100 maps. Cheers!
Guys, I have a stupid question. Can favor map slots reduce chance to get t17? In theory, they shouldn't. Most likely, the t17 check comes last and doesn't care about the map location. @ronarray thank you, btw!
why do we take the shaping nodes? don't the nodes say that it only affects maps dropping higher tier map t1-15? also doesn't it not matter if we run 8-mod maps? since it "re-vaals" the map basically and then adds the 1-3 mods? also the map craft also gets randomised so why do we take one?
Reevaaling not changing amount mods, just adding new one. We take a map craft for twist of Fate to work properly because it has a wording of AND (Also random map mode is nice for 2c). Shaper nodes rise amount of t1-t15 Maps that will be dropped at T16 instead and can be converted to T17 because of that.
@@ronarray ok so a simple test proves that it does revaal the map mods, I vaaled a map and checked the mods, when I went in the mods were all completely different. Perhaps u had just seen some of the same mods and thought they didn’t change?
@@ronarray and after another simple test of just activating with just the plain increase quant map craft, twist of fate still worked, tho I suppose the question now is whether a random map craft worth over 8% quant?
just tried your strat without twist of fate and i have to say it's the worst atlas tree i have tried as of yet. No t17 map drop in 10-15 maps. 4 voidstones, corrupted 8 mod maps. I get like 2-3 normal maps per map, no t17
You physically cant drop only 2 maps from such Strat - just Multi will provide 2+, something is heavily wrong in the setup there even if we will keep tiny sample size in mind - Maybe you have Singular Focus allocated? That Atlas tree is pretty much old and used by everyone to farm maps from other Content Creators to bulk traders, there is just nothing else that you can pick for maps. Cheers!
Great strategy, right? I ran 15 maps, sinking who knows how much currency into them because I couldn't be bothered to keep track. And guess what? I got a grand total of 3 T17 maps. Honestly, I think if you just went with an 'alch and go' approach, you'd get the same-if not better-results. My advice? Don't waste your resources. Statistically, you're likely to drop just as many, if not more, maps without all the extra investment.
Why would one scarab have to cover the cost of another one? That's just silly thinking. You pick the scarabs that have the most positive effect on total revenue and balance it around cost.
Lol you “the scarabs that have the most positive effect on total revenue and balance it around cost”. Yea he did and he found that using a cheap scarab to cover the cost of the expensive ones gets the benefits from the expensive one while not adding barely any cost/time in map. I don’t think it’s a necessity but it’s what he likes.
What do you mean one scarab covering for the other? There is a combination that work the best together, those scarabs cant work without the other, it is NOT like 1 is doing everything and covering for the second which is useless.
@@ronarray Check 4:20 in the video. You say that rewards from conversion scarab will pay for the cost of multitude. I said that is silly thinking - what matters is the total input and output of the strategy.
First of - there is no such thing as "Silly Thinking", any kind of opinion if it formulated correctly should be acknowledged and if it works it works. Second - Well we have a cheap scarab that works in combo with expensive one, while we are fishing for T17 Conversion can help to pay for the rest if T17 fishing fails, it is a simple math I suppose. I hope it is more clear now, cheers!
Well, you have a VERY low sample size (15 is like 40 minutes?) and don't even state what kind of strategy you are running. Most of my stuff is tested Live and already saved on VODs so all math can be checked and there is no clickbait at all - it is simple RNG in an ARPG.
@@ronarray I think these guys also forget the amount of random influenced maps etc they're getting. On average, you 100% break even regardless and then there's at least 20 - 40c profit per map IMO. I've been constantly dying to this strategy cause of my build being hexblast mines but I like it overall because I just quality, alch + corrupt and go without having to worry about anything else.
Love for your efford, but im sorry , this strat is ass, 80 maps only 6xt17, sure you sustain the cost with the other maps that drop but your not doing any profit, neither do you get enough t17 for yourself to say this is worth.
That's sounds like an unlucky line, there are many people in the comments with much better results. Which strat you have used (there are 4 of them in the video)? Do you have 4 watchstones?
@@ronarray The Expensive Setup from the Video + the Twist Boxes Setup from the description + T16 8Mod Random Maps from TFT, (4 Voidstones) No Favor maps choosen. Duno maybe rly just unlucky but 6xt17 in 80 maps is heavy.
@@xSunny599 Try to run Hybrid setup to hedge some prices and just corrupt quality ones instead of 8mod, maybe it will help. Those results are heavy for sure.
Shaping the mountains, Shaping the skies and other nodes that grant you +tier for map drops are a waste of atlas points if you have 4 voidstones. I dk why people league by league are sill making such a mistake. Take adjasement map drops and you'll see the result
Because it is not a mistake, it is confirmed by literally all Content Creators who did tests (including me) - You are still dropping T14 and T15 maps so those nodes help you to rise more of those to T16. I also have ALL Adjustment map nodes in the strat.
@@ronarray you have 100% chance from your voidstones and you are farming T16 maps. Even if you drop T14 it might upgrade it to T15 that never can happen while farming T16. It might have worked a bit with guardian maps, that usually drop T14 instead of t15 and t16 beach (for example, but who cares about guardian Tier map drop). These +map tier nodes do nothing while farming t17 maps. You are losing 4 Nodes with this strat that grant you +8% to adjacement map drops on your left side of the tree and on the right and some scarab nodes that may be a good option as well
"when an item drops it MIGHT be a map. if it is a map it then rolls its tier e. g. 1-16. if the tier it rolls has no maps on the Atlas, it is converted into a hidden form of currency. When you get enough of that hidden currency a map drop is forced for a valid tier of map on your Atlas. a tier 1 map is worth less currency than a tier 2 map, and so on. so having + tier bonuses will make more maps drop." Apparently that's the mechanic for it ^^ take with a grain of salt but that makes sense.
@@Kurtaair I think you misunderstand how it works - 100% chance means nothing in there, here the quote from the wiki - ***"Tier 1-15 Maps found have #% chance to become 1 tier higher: This stat stacks additively with similar stats from the Atlas Passive Tree and Voidstones; if the chance exceeds 100%, the excess chance instead applies to chance to be 2 tiers higher, and so on"*** So as you can see we are still benefitting heavily from those nodes and they are crucial.
your guide isn't good at all, try farming t16 8modded jungle valley with delirium and shrines, put all favorite in to one connectet map and singular (i tried your way liek 100 maps and its huge difference with the singular :) and you can still sell them like 10c each) scarabs are 2x multitude, escalation, lineage and 8modded maps are coruppted, or 3rd multitude, i drop per 10maps about 8 t17 maps + a lot of currency, deli orbs and don't have to gamble with twisted fate ;D i'm only using 8modded with 40+ packsize and more magic/rare monsters on modifiers.
You are literally explaining half of the same strat that I talk about in the video. Twisted fate is not a gamble if you paly strong build that can carry all mods, Singular focus is giving 20% less T17 and not worth it too, you also don't need Linage if you run multitudes already.
