Poets & Writers' California Town Hall with Oakland Poet Laureate Dr. Ayodele Nzinga 

The Director of Readings & Workshops West, Jamie Asaye FitzGerald, hosts a California Virtual Town Hall Meeting with inaugural Oakland Poet Laureate Dr. Ayodele Nzinga, who speaks on How Words Make Worlds, followed by a conversation with participants. The second half of the meeting is devoted to resource sharing and networking, as well information about P&W’s Readings & Workshops mini-grants (now accepting applications for virtual and in-person events).
Our goals for these convenings are to foster community and strengthen connections, help facilitate an exchange of information and resources, encourage literary activity, educate and inform, and share information about P&W resources, including our mini-grants in support of virtual readings and workshops.
