First time at range this rifle functioned outstanding. I put 150 rds. through it. No malfunction. But again, bought it factory new.

I have a 12.5 1200 ish downrange. Other than a hydraulic buffer it's bone stock. So far it has run like a sewing machine with zero failures. I have gotten sub moa with 168smk and 175 elr. With 147 it shoots right around 2-2.5 moa. With a Burris 1-6 areo mount sling and streamlight it weighs about 7 pounds 5 oz with out mag. It is truly amazing how little recoil it has. Originally I did have some swiping until I installed the hydraulic buffer. I absolutely love it.

Right on, thanks for sharing your experience with accuracy! Sometimes it’s just the right load that’ll do it! I love how light the gun is and when it’s tuned it shoots super smooth. POF announced the Rogue 13.75” with the dictator installed along with the dead air brake on it. I use a nomad-30 so that looks like a solid out of the box setup. Definitely gonna lose some velocity with the shorter barrel but I’m willing to try that one out. I want to give the gun another fair shake. I feel that would be the ticket hog rifle to replace my PA-10 that I modified heavily.

@@SabertoothDefenseSystems 2-3 moa ain't bad for a 7.5 " battle" pistol. Not super accurate with everything but extraordinarily effective with anything. Especially at the 150 meters or less for the 99.9 percent of my use.
@SabertoothDefenseSystems
@SabertoothDefenseSystems 6 месяцев назад
@@ducatiluvr Sure, as stated in the video as a battle rifle averaging about 2 inches is just fine for that use case! Im a hunter and at least 1.5” average is what I’m looking for. It’s what POF marketed this gun as, but I wholeheartedly agree with you that as a battle rifle it does the job very well and that accuracy is just fine. Glad you like yours! I still think it’s a neat gun regardless of its shortcomings!

Yep I’m perfectly happy with a gas gun shooting 2MOA consistently. It is nice though when I can at least get 1.5”🤔 Yes, the bolt guns are just inherently more accurate. My Ruger American 308 shoots .75” easily and with the right load I’ve shot .49”. Thanks for tuning back in!

I have a Ruger sfar and was having feeding issues after about 80 rounds on setting 2. Contacted Ruger customer service, Deborah I believe was her name, and advised of my situation. She knew immediately where I was going with this and got my mailing information and advised that the new gas block would be sent out the next day. Once I received and changed out the new gas block, along with a h3 buffer fro Odin, I have not had any problems with feeding issues on my sfar. With the heavier buffer, it is a lot easier to shoot and don’t kick like a mule. Great video.

Ruger SFAR is no comparison to the POF, especially with the Dictator. If you put them side by side the Ruger is cheaply made with cheap parts. Had mine for about a year. Stock spring and properly adjusted gas block and it's completely reliable with multiple types and weights of ammo.

Great review and good shooting. I saw you went hog hunting and it's where this rifle shines. I made sure I got the 12.5" 1-8 twist for hunting with supers and some subs. Yes, there are few changes with the Rogue. The 1-10 twist was made to make the rifle more reliable supposedly. Now, POF made the Rogue 13.75" 1-10 with the dictator gas block that will pretty much fix all the issues, but now that model can't stabilize 210gr+ bullets as good.
@SabertoothDefenseSystems
@SabertoothDefenseSystems 5 месяцев назад
Thanks for checking out the review! This thing really shines with 0-300 yard hunting, especially hog hunting, I think this thing is the ticket. I love the idea of the 13.75 rogue. It would be great with a suppressor, keeping the overall length down!

I have had my Rogue almost a year. I had a few reliability until I got the Dictator gas block. Since that time some ammo has to be adjusted on the block to function correctly. Once adjusted it has been 100 per cent! My accuracy is also in the 2’s, which is fine for me. Hornady Black is relatively cheap and is accurate and has good results in gel. I am very happy to have this lightweight .308. If I have to Bugout because I have no choice, this is the one coming with me!

Thanks for watching! Glad you liked it! My goal with this channel is to provide thorough amounts of data, rather than the “reviews” of people just saying, “I like the way it looks and it shot a good group”. I detest that sort of thing. Money is much tighter nowadays so it’s only fair to get the best data possible to make a better informed decision as far as where your money goes! For what it’s worth, while I think this platform lacks in certain areas, I think for the proper application of a lightweight battle rifle or a lightweight 0-300 hunting rig, this thing really shines!

3 rifles I tried even before firing a round, bound right side bolt release button, 1 had to be RMA'd from store level even before a purchase, 2 others were binding pretty hard, but not as bad as 3rd. Check in the store bolt catch and release, by pulling charging handle and locking bolt with all ambi controls, then test bolt release on the right side. If it's binding, then you will have same issues as me. POF was top notch quality before owner has passed away. His children are running a company now, and they clearly don't care about QC, this was told to me by the dealer that sells this gun.

Thanks for doing a video. I have been using mine for several years now. And haven't had any problems. They have gone up a little since I bought mine. Unfortunately you are right about parts swapping. I have wanted to change mine to a 8.6 blackout. But cant find a barrel. POF said they aren't interested in that clambering. Faxton has never gotten back to me. I know that the first Q simi auto 8.6 was built on a POF Rogue. I really like the platform. The weight is great! It's super lightweight. I don't expect minute of the angle out of it. But i would really like it if POF would have better customer support for parts like barrels, barrel extensions or at least make those parts available to someone like Faxton. If anyone has insiders info to help with my project..

Agreed! It’s a very handy and lightweight rifle, which I love! I just wish it could average out to about 1.5” groups rather than averaging around 2” groups. Just to further justify the price they demand. But yes I also agree, I wish there were more accessories or aftermarket support for this rifle! And yes! Especially in 8.6 blackout! I’d love to give that caliber a whirl!

Great review! As for manufacturers not informing firearms owners that their product has an issue such as the Ruger SFAR (as Turkey Opinion and other SFAR owners have discovered) this seem to be just policy for some companies (SA and their Prodigy...." Yikes!", S&W and their shotguns........"Recalled" after intro to the public, Ruger SFAR issues.....etc.) We firearm owners have become product testers for the firearms industry......🤔
@SabertoothDefenseSystems
@SabertoothDefenseSystems 10 месяцев назад
Yup, you’re spot on. While the manufacturer will always learn more about a product over a long period of hard use by a customer and continually make improvements, it’s evident that many products are released “half baked” for us to iron out the wrinkles, utilizing the “Lifetime Warranty” they give us🙄😂 While I appreciate a manufacturer resolving a problem, I don’t want a problem in the first place🤷🏻‍♂️

Mine functioned fine out of the box new. The only thing I did was replaced the buffer and spring with a Geisslle set with the proper sizes of course. Super reliable, but parts interchangeability is the biggest major issue. My accuracy is just at and sometimes bellow 1.5" at 100 yards using Federal 175gr., with 165gr it opens up to about 2.0". It's extremely finicky about the ammo weight and type, so with the twist of 1 in 8 don't bother with anything below 165gr.
