A truly special film for me. I was an 11-year-old California kid living in the Riverside desert, and the summer of 1991 brought me T2 and Point Break back-to-back (thanks, James Cameron!). Best childhood summer ever! I remember thinking that "Patrick's Roadhouse" was a little wink-wink reference to the movie Road House, but when I eventually moved to Los Angeles, I discovered that it's an actual restaurant just north of Santa Monica Beach! Point Break is a big "life movie" for me, and of course 2021 marks its 30th anniversary (and T2's 30th)!

Gary Busey is completely crazy in the best way possible! Point Break is one of the best movies of the 90's. The remake is on the other hand one of the worst movies ever made in the 00's.
I remember when this was in cinema it was amazing especially the sky diving scenes on big screen. I was a skateboarder at the time and can now surf and have been skydiving. Bank robbery is just a bit too extreme to tick off the list 😂
When KR started doing serious character roles... He lucked out with staring in this movie so everyone could take him seriously beside the " stupid" Bill and Ted adventures". I was turned off by it for a couple of years until I watched, loved it, and rest have been great movies.
The guy said "everybody's got a Gary Busey story" and as far as I know that's true because I have one. He took a picture with my friends daughter in a Barnes and Noble once.

I dont think Patrick had played a baddy before this. I wouldn't say he was all bad but for some reason he lost it and broke his own code of not killing which brought about his demise. A complex character. Patrick was born to play it. He looked the part and he embodied Bodhi. His greatest performance.

@@matteobeach4261 Tom Cruise is not hot. He’s a psycho Scientology-bot with a rictus grin. Also - KR has not had work done. He’s aged, as he should’ve done in three decades but he still looks great. He’s still gorgeous. Also - Keanu is a good guy. Cruise is not. That counts for a lot.
