Origin- Immobile and Insertion- Mobile. Remembering this will definitely help me make important connections in the future.

Now I understand that the point of origin for a tendon is the immobile bone and that the point of insertion is on the mobile bone. There is so much to take in! Thank you!

Enjoyed the video. I learned that the point of origin is where the bones are immobile and insertion point is the bones that are mobile. The examples you give when you introduce them give it an easy understanding of there function and location.

I learned that the point of origin and insertion are important because they allow tendons to connect muscle to bone. I was truly astonished at the fact that we have immobile bones and some bones that are slightly movable. Great informative video.

Origin and insertion has been an area that I have struggled to understand when reviewing the skeletal system. When studying for the TEAS exam, my review book only reviewed point of origin and insertion very briefly. I'm retaking the exam and was able to take thorough notes based on this lecture. Thank you for providing a very detailed and descriptive description of the skeletal system! I also appreciated how you walked through this slowly, not leaving any room for confusion. This video helped me to understand the difference between the origin and insertion because Professor Givon gives many examples for us to be able to apply this concept to. The examples help for me to visualize what he means by immobile and mobile.

I have always been confused on tendons and ligaments and what each one connects too. I now know that tendons connect bone to muscle, and the origin is the region where the bone stays intact. It makes sense that it would be called origin of region. And insertion has mobility of the bone, which also makes sense. Thank you for showing examples using your arm as well. Very helpful.

I've always had a difficult time with differentiating between origin and insertion and It was super helpful that you classified all origin points as immobile and all insertions points as mobile.

Awesome video! I learned all about the point of origin and insertion in this video. These are the regions where the skeletal system connects with the muscular system. I learned how to differentiate origin as immobile and insertion as mobile. Point of insertion is on the humerus, and on the proximal end of the humerus you’ll have a point of origin. Thank you for that quick lesson!
