Loved it! Sri Lanka in general is amazing (I’m actually back again right now for my 3rd time here), but those northern areas of the country are so authentic and interesting. Definitely some of my absolute favourites
Most of those buildings were destroyed due to the war. Roofless buildings are a common sight in most of the war-torn areas of sri lanka. It usually happens when artilery or mortar shells land on the ground, the roofs go off.
I have always understood Jaffna to be the hottest part of the island, so not surprised to see you getting baked there. It was nice to see the old Austin Cambridge & I am sure someone in the UK would love to restore it back to it's original condition. I also think you would have got a quicker reaction in regards to your shorts , if you had simply said tailor as that's a word even the non English speakers would know in SL.
Yea I imagine that could indeed be true. I do recall reading something of the sorts before arriving there. It certainly was incredibly hot though that's for sure! You know, I have absolutely no idea why that word just didn't spring to mind because you're totally right! Thankfully I got there in the end but for sure that would've been much quicker 🙈
I always just use Agoda to be honest. I search by the area of course, filter by price and then have a scroll through the top recommendations, check the corresponding recent google reviews etc and then choose the one I like. Usually then I book for 1 or 2 days to get a feel and then extend if I want to stay longer
Quite a silly comment given that firstly you can see from my other videos that I have been to other places and secondly, I stated that it is certainly very beautiful in Jaffna, not that it is the MOST beautiful place in the world!
I went to school there ( point Pedro ) Heartily college but me not disciplined student in my class room . My parents house one miles away from point Pedro . 90 % of the students enter university from Heartily college But I was born & raised in kandy

I prefer to not use it to be honest. Sometimes it makes things TOO easy, but in the end I had to resort to it, as you saw when I googled the sewing machine picture 🙈😂
