The word is fraud. The state of Wyoming is selling a point where the individual has no chance of drawing. New Mexico started a point system like this in the 80’s and discontinued it for a random draw when they realized that there was no chance of drawing a tag unless you had maximum points. Shame on all the states who perpetuate this myth. Point systems are a “feel good” but do very little. Cut the BS and go to random draw for all units. It’s the only “fair” system. It gives everyone the same chance.

For sheep tags you are not waiting for the people ahead of you to draw, you are waiting for them to die out!

I drew a WY gen elk tag this year with 1 point when guys with three & 4 points didn't draw. Entirely through the random draw. I could have just as easily drawn with zero points
