Great arrangement!! We don't understand electricity, but we know what happens when we flip the switch. To get light we need no knowledge on how electricity works. You just did the same with accupoints. Of course, there is much more to it, but people with no knowledge whatsoever can help themselves or their family because this is so easily structured. Keep up the great work.
Thank you Nicholas. Extremely informative and enlightening. I've begun to treat my wife using these points and acupressure, as finding a very knowledgeable and competent acupuncture practitioner in Southern California is not so easy. Looking forward to watching videos on the other meridians, and more!
I had to retake my acupuncture channels course, cause i failed it first time (my teacher was really bad at English, and wasn't very motivating), ur vids just me gave a whole "aaaaaaahhhh 明白了!!" moment, and are so useful for helping me prepare for the exam. I'm sure I'll pass it this time I'm super curious where u studied actually, and where u teach now

THANK YOU SO MUCH NICHOLAS! These videos are amazing! The way you explain makes everything so so so much more clear and straightforward! Can't thank you enough for all your content! Very appreciated !
Getting ready for my Spleen channel in Acu Points class, thank you so much for such a high quality video and clear explanation!! Will watch it a few more times before my test next week.
@@tcmstudy Yes I took it, thank you so much for sharing this!! It’s very helpful and close to the style of my professor! You’re amazing Nicholas for helping all of us students🌟
Top video from all ACU I have been watching! Thank you for share this info!! I am very happy, made my day!! clarifying my spleen chi sinking. I had an acupuncturist who used a lot Moxi in my front organs and back and two of my organs didn’t hole and didn’t hold and I got prolapses. I have a good diet, however with that I gained a lot weight and I still didn’t find the best diet to loose all the weight I gain. Looking for seeing more videos form your channel
I really enjoy this and all your other review videos. I wish that you could also show how to needle some of the points. I often have trouble remembering which direction and how deep to needle. And sometimes my teacher teaches us differently to our texts which makes it a little more confusing too.
Your video and presentation are clear and informative to watch. Can you explain if Hiatus hernia, a cause to OSA linked to spleen , which points would be more beneficial.
Sir Ji, Namaste, May I request you that please make & share videos listed below: *Acupuncture Point Location Videos:* Urinary Bladder Meridian Pericardium Meridian Triple Warmer Meridian Gall Bladder Meridian Liver Meridian Conception Vessel Governing Vessel All EOV *Points Review Videos:* Small Intestine Meridian Urinary Bladder Meridian Kidney Meridian Pericardium Meridian Triple Warmer Meridian Gall Bladder Meridian Liver Meridian Conception Vessel Governing Vessel All EOV
I Have my examen next week, and you helped me so much to study, thank you!! The way you explain makes it much simpler and easier to understand. You make a lot of links between each concept, it really helps me. Could you make a video on the functions of points (I don't really know how to call them in English because I study in French, but for example: sky window points, Luo points, Mu point, sizhong point, points Liu He, Hui points, Wu Shu points, ....) ? I find them difficult to remember....
I'm glad the videos are helpful! Where are you studying? In our school we call those "point categories." I want to make a video about that, but I'm going to go through and make a videos about introductory channel theory and the secondary channels first. Then I'll make a video about point categories. So that will be coming in the future. The video on the Lung channel covers this topic a little bit when it talks about the functions of each point.
Nicholas Duchnowski thank you ☺️ I study in Canada, in Montreal city. And yes, we call them fonctions, after their is the action (ex:chase the heat), and the indication (ex: fever)
Thank you Mr Nicholas.. perfect explanation of SP Channel. Can I get the PPT of the same..? would be helpful for my clinical reference.. Can you share the link?
Thank you very much , Nicholas! it is very helpful to study TCM. Having just done the online tests, i have found the position of sp11 was said 8 cun superior to the patella may be 12 cun ?
This is amazing work !! If someone can help me find a video on the 5 element differentiation..with respect to tongue/ pulse / indications...( I got the sequences down) everything I read about 5 element does not cover the pattern differentiation indications! I would forever be grateful!!
best videos ever are from you, thank you. i have a question please: sp1 is JW which is for excess on the uppermost of the channel, the bleeding due to sp issues is from deficiency so its not an excess, this looks contradicton to me, i dont get it, how can we treat a deficiency with an excess point? thank you so much
Hi Lehammam, I think one way to look at it is just that points can do more than one thing, especially if you use a different needling method. For example, ST-36 can treat both excess and deficiency, depending on whether you needle with a tonification or sedation technique. So for bleeding due to excess, you might prick to bleed SP-1 to drain excess. For bleeding due to deficiency, you might do moxa in order to tonify. Some people will say that SP-1 is good for bleeding because, as a Jing-Well point, it is Wood in nature. And Wood corresponds the sour flavor, which induces astringency, which is like stopping bleeding.
Then I would go with The Web that Has No Weaver by Ted Kapchuck. It’s a good introduction. I really like Applied Channel Theory by Wang Ju-Yi, but that might be better after being in school for a year.
Hello Nicholas. Thanks for these videos. Well explained and easy to understand. Regarding the point location videos you have noted, I am having trouble playing them. It says private.
Hi. Those point location videos aren't mine, I was just linking to them. It could be that the owner set them to private or they aren't available anymore. I'll take them out of the description.
Hello thank you for your videos. If all foot and leg points are stimulated- up until the upper knees - is that sufficient to get effect of helping spleen energy? Also - if some points are missed on the legs - how does this effect results? Thanks so much!
My son has digestive issues that Western medicine Dr.s can't seem to address after 4 years. He is under weight.constipated with diarrhea most of the time.He has fissures and bleeding. Can't seem to tolerate a whole range of foods.Has depression and won't leave the house because he never knows when he will need a restroom. What questions might be asked to determine his condition,Spleen or stomach?Where do we start.Thank you
Wheres your clinic, i need to see a good acupunturist for long covid symptoms. The past 2 years i had been to sooo many acupunture treatments at least 200 times to 5 different places but i still have some issues from long covid
Hello sir, I was wondering how can we treat patients with organ removal such as spleen and kidney etc. I asked my professor and he said it's too early to talk about considering that I am a first year student but as for me still facing the question with that. Is there any alternative ways to treat those ones with organ removal? I hope that you can provide me insights on that. Thank you.
Hello. It is a complicated subject, and I'm not sure what the true answer is. But keep in mind that even if the physical tissue is removed, from a TCM perspective the energetic system is still there. So if the spleen organ is removed, the Foot Taiyin channel still exists, the spleen points still exist, and there's still a "spleen" system performing the functions associated with the spleen.
@@tcmstudy thank you so much for the answer. Your explanation makes sense to me so now I can move on to learn other stuff without being confused. I get to learn so much from you which I appreciate u very much!
Hi! I studied Chinese medicine at Pacific College in San Diego, CA. Some of my teachers were Chinese, but I think they were mostly from Beijing or Chengdu. I'd like to visit Shanghai sometime though.
@@tcmstudywhere's your clinic. I live in Boston Massachusetts and I've been getting acupuncture treatments over 200 times the past 2 years due to long covid but I'm not fully recovered yet. I used to be healthy, full of life but long covid turned my life upside down
Interesting, i have no idea there is someone, who is not Chinese, studying Chinese medicine. It is analyzed basing on ancient philosophy, so it's hard to understand. You did a good job. BTW , the background is too old style , haha.
Hi if I eat the actual spleen organ itself in supplement form like our ancestors used to do with other organs, would this benefit a spleen deficiency the same way eating tcm spleen herbs would ? Please help 🙏
