These things happened not only in New Zealand, but also around the world. I am in Algeria and I have a bunch of animals dying because of another poison where the sale has spread widely everywhere, it has been abused by farmers to fight against the wild boar which invades their harvests. A few years later, a very large number of animals disappeared from the fauna, among them many birds that we no longer see! Chain killing has occurred and is irreversible. The boar has more or less resisted, but many other creatures have disappeared from the wild in the north of the country. I think it is better to mobilize on a global scale to ban all forms of poison production

If rats have been in NZ for hundreds of years what is the damage compared to 1080 what about possums deer pig's what's the damage compared to HUMANS

Would you guys consider doing a part 2. It would be great to have an updated version with what we are facing now in 2020. There are a few more companies that are involved in the application of 1080 and their reason from dropping 1080 has changed somewhat. Cheers.

I hope you get rid of it…… it would be great if this documentary was in many other languages….. I wish you a lot of strength and patience for the fight…. New Zealand (Humans) are still a development….. they will never get rid of it, as long as ships come with new rates and bugs…..impossible to a time like today….

👽👾in Australia. rabbits are baited all the time ...see dead all over . this has an impact on other animals who eat them. they were introduced to Australia

Unfortunately, the New Zealand Govt has declared it will increase its poisoning campaigns while working toward its ridiculous goal of being "predator free" by 2050. Of course, no such ridiculous goal is possible. The more they poison, the more they end up farming the "pests" - the possums, rats, cats and stoats. Far better to leave the wildlife to manage itself. But these guys in New Zealand love their wildlife-killing poisons. They use 10 times more 1080 poison than any other country in the world.

We the Maunga hapu have stopped the spraying of all wild vegatation our Rongoa our water ways our maara gardens our species of animals our people every other living being etc. We've had enough!!!!!!!!! We are Not!!! Guna allow governmental(govern Our mental state) dictate to us!!!!!!. Doc (department of corruption)as we call them. False sense of purpose proclaiming to be environmentally friendly when your spraying with poison does not make sense at all. Enough is not enough!!!!!! The govt making the money doc(dept of corruption making the money) forest heads making money the trustees making the money. All profiting from our lands. Using tax payers money, business entities and ventures to feather their own nests. Its not happening anymore people!!!!! Since when are doc allowed to employ a company to utilise making honey on peoples land. Its happening on ours.guadians of the land do not make money

@@charmainemorgan4380 Nobody makes any money from 1080, apart from those employed to conduct the operations, and they get wages. I'd love to see the figures that you have for all these profits that everybody makes. I may be wrong in one instance: the likes of Sue Grey who makes a living taking factless cases to court, or Billy T who rabble rouses for his political party therefore garnering donations?

As a Animal lover, this evil and cruel practice shocked me with tears in my eyes. Never liked the stuff (1080) knew it killed everything, The song at the end of the Documentary speaks volume. Thank you for showing us the truth behind it all. Nuclear Free NZ, Now it's time to be 1080 Free NZ .

Possums and opossums are different things, they eat anything green which kills the forest protecting native wildlife.

I hope one day in the near future they can genetically engineer viruses that target specific species - rats, possums, mustelids, etc. Whether it cause death or even just render them infertile. The change to native birds and flora in a single generation would be extraordinary.

For ones ordering that poisen dropped in new zealand and the ones putting the poisen out where all sorts of innocent animals are sick and animals die due to the poisen new zealand is putting out. Have you people in charge of this poisen being ordered to be put out have any sort of conscious or any sort of heart. My God you all are devils to put that type of poisen out where any animal in contact with that poisen is going to suffer horribly and still die. For people who ordered and also ones putting this poisen out should be fed this poisen through iv lines intravenously in their veins til they are no more. You people ordering and putting the poisen out will burn in hell for what you all are doing to wildlife without conscious.
