Gen 4 (particularly the Arceus and Giratina cutscenes) just has this certain foreboding and intimidating presence to it. It really captures what they represent, which is being supreme deities over all creation.

I like to call gen 3,4, and 5 the perfect 3. Gen 3 is when the games started to really pick up visually, 4 with all the legendary Mons kept it going and 5 was before the dark ages of lifeless 3D models

These have so much more impact to me than the 3D games. They all seem individually special and terrifying or curious, and the music is _amazing._ It just totally hypes you up. I don't know why the later games don't seem to have this. X and Y got it a little, but after that it just seems.. ineffectual. All the music in the games is too smooth, most if not all of it uses the same instruments and it gets super boring.

When I saw the Rayquaza coming out of the sky cut scene for the very first time I remember resetting the game over and over just to see it so many times cause it was so Amazing and Badass. I was six when I first played my first Pokémon game, that being platinum. I’m seventeen now and have nothing but good memories for the game. Giratina had some of the most ambitious animation for its time imo. Though I remember looking at the opening loop for soul silver of lugia swimming and thinking it was revolutionary lol. It blew my mind for what pokemon games could look like and just set the stage for the rest of the story.

I still remember how shocked I was when they played the old cutscenes from BW in B2W2 for Zekrom/Reshiram. As a kid, this was cool and exhilarating.

I grew up playing Diamond. I remember when I first saw the Dialga cutscene, I was so scared that if would destroy the world that I actually cried and refused to watch the rest of the cutscene. Edit: I was seven at the time so don't judge me

Gen 5 has some of the most intense cutscenes. I patiently await the day when I can trek through Unova once more on a journey with my friends: Reshiram, Kyurem and Zekrom The flames of nostalgia burn brightly within me just thinking about Pokémon Black, White, White 2 and Black 2 I’m ready to return to my beginnings as a Pokémon fan. I gladly accept a future with remakes of Gen 5

Honestly; as much as I love Gen. 5, I don't think it needs an remake. Because both Black & White and Black 2 & White 2 still holds up tremendously well and I don't think an remake is gonna make it any better. In fact, they might make it worst. So no. I don't want an remake of Gen. 5. An port or an remastered for these games into an new Nintendo system would be fine. But not an remake.

The awakening of the box art dragon from Black and White is my favorite 2D Pokemom cutscene. I was blown away by it as a kid so much that I reloaded my save about thirty times just to rewatch it.
