I wish Gamefreak would bring it back. The "Victory Is Right Before Your Eyes" theme is so amazing, it reminds you that 1. you are so close to winning! but 2. the gym leader is sending out their final and probably strongest Pokemon. Such an awesome idea, that Gamefreak decided to ditch in the very next games

Why I only choosen Nate and not Rosa? Because For Rosa, in all the Gym Battle, I've used the challenge mode so it's different. I planned to do a challenge mode one once I finished regular gym battle and start the rematch one. Be patient.

Roxie, Marlon, and Skyla are my favorites! I love that Roxie plays the bass. Marlon is a nice change of pace and I love how he jumps into the ocean after you battle him. And Skyla because I had a crush on her as a kid and she's a pilot. B/W and B/W 2 had the best gym leaders imo. I can remember all of their names, personalities, professions, and interactions very well.

I don't know if it was also implemented in the succeeding versions of BW2 but I always like it when the chairman gives me fresh water before having a battle. Drayden is my fave gym leader because I love him personality-wise.

Thoughts on each Unova Gym Leader (B2W2 edition): Cheren: Pretty good. Cheren's progression has always been pretty interesting Roxie: She's cool. She's a rockstar. She has a *Scolipede* guitar. What more is there to ask for? I love Roxie Burgh: His new gym is neat, but not much new to say otherwise Elesa: I honestly kinda preferred her original gym to her new one, but I really like her new design. Clay: Not much new to say Skyla: Honestly preferred her original gym to her new one. Aside from that not much new to say. Drayden: New gym is cool. Not much else to say Marlon: He's alright.

My thoughts on the Unova gym leaders based on my battles with them. Cheren: Like him as a character, hate him as a gym leader. Roxie: Became a fan of the Venipede line because I beat her with ONLY a Venipede (not a joke) Burgh: Eh... the battle was uneventful and boring Elesa: Your gym music may be superior, but STOP USING VOLT SWITCH!!!!!!! Clay: I hope that Excadrill of yours burns after what it did to Tuba (my Serperior, don't ask) Skyla: Suprisingly easy, love your personality. Drayden: Best... battle... ever!!!!! Marlon: AHAHAHA!!!!!! I beat all your pokemon in one shot!!!!! AHAHAHA!!!!!! And those are my thoughts.

B2W2 is one of my favorite pokemon game no matter what people say! Started off with pokemon crystal with so many obscure facts and suprises, then pokemon DP with its unique team and rock hard difficulty despite its limited number of pokemon, followed by Pt and HGSS which are consecutively getting better, and finally pokemon B2W2 with its own charm and uniqueness!

The Test: Cheren: The portuguese question about Por que, Porque, Por quê and Porquê Roxie: That question that looks easy, but has a super complicated and completely different answer Burgh: That one question you DID study for but there's a part you don't remember Elesa: The algebra question Clay: The question that fries your brain but has a stupidly obvious answer Skyla: The physics question about how a pen's aerodynamics is smoother than a nail's aerodynamics Drayden: The super difficult question you didn't study for Marlon: 2 x {3+[2 x 2 + 2 -1 x (3 + 3 x 2) + 9 + 1 ]} aka the question you think is gonna be hard, but once you get down to it it's super easy

Is it ever explained why Cheren became a gym leader? I just wonder how he could go from having super powerful Pokemon to being the first gym leader with normal types.

Maybe he wanted to share his experiences with the youths? That's my guess why he would open a Gym in the Pokemon School. And I think he got the position from Lenora after she resigned from the position, probably to better take care of her museum. And since the place could not be used as a Gym anymore, they relocated it to the other side of Unova. And I think Cheren still has all of his previous Pokemon, he just uses a "Gym Leader" set for this specific battle.
