For me what I loved about the original was the battle frontier however the remake alot of qol improvements in it Im able to see while playing that honestly cant go wrong playing either one. The update I have made the music sound so much better! The graphics arent as bad as people make em out to be. Honestly the new team galactics theme was one of my favourites to listen to! The poketech and ability to use a hand cursor to move and use each one, pressing R to take out a miniscreen for the poketech in the corner and holding R to hide it takes some getting used to but also makes sense since u have to be able to do it in docked as well!

Can you blame us? It was a good mechanic as it was something you had to plan ahead of time for before battle rather than being a panic button like Dinomaxing. In other words it required actual strategy to utilize its maximum potential rather than Sword and Shield's get out of jail free card seeing how any of your Pokémon could do it at any time with almost zero consequence. I'd be surprised to see it return too, but I still have hope!

@Protostar Mirage the one thing worth mentioning is megas did breathe life in to a lot of pokemon that were just awful on all fronts, so in one way I do miss them but I am glad to have a metagame that is more baseline if you get what I mean

@RandomName Well you'd be incorrect. Many people were hyped from the beginning, and still are too. People are mainly excited to experience their memories again in this game. If you don't like it it's okay, but a lot of other people are still hyped for the game

@RandomName I can understand your point. Personally I feel like the game should be worth $40 at most. The games took a faithful approach, which explains why there isn't too much of a change. On the bright side they fixed some errors and added new features that the original DP didn't have or struggled with.

@@rage8010 you're right. There are no other real tutorials ingame, but you know what I mean :-) The first hour of every pokemon game, you get interupted every 5 steps for some explanation of something most of us know already. Just like we knew most of what was told in this trailer as well.

People need to learn the difference between art style and graphics. The graphics are fantastic, dynamic lighting, the battle backgrounds are amazing, the water looks like you could taste it.

The art style is the least of my problems. I'm more worried about the fact that there's no Megas, or any Pokemon from gen 5-7, or the Battle Frontier, and I bet the game won't even have high quality animations, will it? I have a bad feeling that the game isn't going to be anywhere near worth $60. : (

I played Diamond back when they came out as I was going into high school. I remember feeling like I was to old to buy them but falling back in love with Pokémon when I played it. One of the best regions to explore and Piplup is best boy. There’s so much nostalgia on this but I’m buying Diamond when it comes out 💎

@@BLZRDD the pokemon i could see that but not the items. the items have a certain... flatness? to them. (though them making models for all the items in the inventory would be debatably even cooler ngl) but either way, it still is nice that they aren't using those tiny sprites for everything in the menus. as much as i like pixel art it gets a little old after around 25 years and having a clearer picture is nice too.

I'm so upset that you can't actually decorate your secret base anymore. Instead, you just have to cram it full of these stone statues. I don't know why they got rid of actual decorations. Really sucks, in my opinion. don't see why they couldn't keep decorations, and have statues?

Because decorations do nothing and would just take up space? Like, wouldn't you rather just cram it full of statues to get the best spawn and shiny rates? Plus, with the new expanded underground, I feel like most people wouldn't spend nearly as much time in their secret bases as they did in the original d/p games, but those are just my thoughts.

@@reddragon4528 Some people want to actual decorate a secret base and make it look nice, instead of cramming it full of giant ugly stone statues, just to catch some more Pokemon. I'm not saying we should have one ro the other, I'm saying they should have done both. Really shouldn't;t be too hard. If people want to use actual furniture to make their secret base, you know, and actual abseils, they can. If people want to cram it full fo statues, they can. If people want to place a few statues down, and also some furniture, they can. It really boggles me why they would take away the main point of a secret base, and give it a completely new feature, when they could have easily done both.

My guess for them not including furniture is that they wanted the grand underground to have more focus on the large open area and catching pokemon mechanics, rather then the secret bases, but I could be wrong about that. I might just have a bit of a bias against the furniture just because I personally didn't care about it that much when I played the sinnoh games in my childhood. I liked to play pokemon to, well, catch and battle pokemon. I didn't really care about building a cosmetic room for myself, and that opinion still stays with me today. If I want to play a game where I build a house, I'll just go and play Animal Crossing or the Sims. But again, these are just my thoughts on this.
