Yeah a lot of people are pushing him to finish walkthrough's, and a select few are asking him to play Sword and Shield, but honestly I don't think he's much into Sword and Shield (and honestly I'm not really a big fan of that game either atm), and it's really good that we get to watch him play Crystal imo
I have a feeling he’s gonna evolve polwhirl into a poliwrath cause of the fighting typing, but knowing lueroi he’ll evolve it into politoad cause he’s lueroi 😂
I have followed u since I was a kid lol u were my first ever sub. When I saw that tediursa back in dark cave I thought it had to be planned I have long since held ursaring in high esteem in this gen where his massive attack and powerful stab (strength/double edge/hyper beam) along with access to earthquake (kills rocks/steels/gengar) pretty much make him a force to be reckoned with in every fight. As a rest talker, he is phenomenal thanks to that sizable 90 base hp stat. He really is a Pokémon that time kind of forgot and is pretty much unusable in every game but crystal but in crystal he just stands out and shines so bright. He was always one of my favorite Pokémon to use in the play through and I am so glad you picked one up to show everyone
I wanna say Poliwrath since Fighting type would be really useful but Politoed is a little more unique since its not as used and Lueroi loves less commonly used Pokemon
politoed's movepool is also so shallow, outside of ice punch/hypnosis/surf it has no other good move, poliwrath can get stab submission as a 4th move which is decent
I was feeling a bit youtube-nostalgia sad and decided to look up people who quit years ago just to see Lueroi is finally back. I almost expected to hear this video start with "Lueroi's Pokemon Crystal Walkthrough Part 17" as the usual intro was but still awesome to see you return.
Poliwrath would probably make more sense since you got the Black Belt, but it is possible to trade on emulator if you're using VisualBoyAdvance-M and Lueroi always chooses some interesting Pokemon so I wouldn't put it past him to use Politoed.
This feels so late game because I'm so used to going west first. I guess the reigon is scaled down a lot because they also had to fit Kanto in the game
I’m thinking polywrath; due to him in the last video getting the number to the fisherman for the water stone, and I don’t think he can trade easily with his rom/whatever he’s playing crystal on
He could obtain the Kings' Rock if he went to Olivine City, went to the café where the guy gives the HM for Strength, then go to the Union Cave to get the Kings Rock, which requires Surf and Strength
You should lvl up eevee to 30 before evolving it will learn bite which is special in this game so its good coverage for espeon and good stab for umbreon
I know most people are saying to change Swirly into a Poliwrath but I am one of those few exceptions that will suggest you evolve it into Politoed. In my opinion Politoed is a very underrated Pokemon that (if given the correct move set) can be very powerful also at 13:15 "That's what she said" was that A MICHAEL SCOTT REFERENCE?????? WELL DONE SIR!!!!!!!!
Well, seeing as how you need to trade to get Politoed, unless you have the means for it, I'd say Poliwrath. Plus having a Fighting type would be handy.
Lueroi is a smart trainer and knows that Politoad doesn’t have its drizzle ability yet, making it not as useful as Poliwrath who has the fighting coverage
I remember playing on my ganeboy while watching u EVERYDAY everytime u grinded xp I DID everytime u would move to the next area I WOULD Now this.....Has not change im doing the same but with pokemon silver 😆
Gyarados also has base 100 special defense and base 95 HP, so it can also take those hits really well. Combine that with the fact Teddiursa doesn't have as good Special Attack and it makes sense
I think you just revealed your eevee's evolution. Espeon eh? I thought so. Umbreon is pretty good, but Espeon is a great special attacker. For Poliwhirl's evolution, I'd personally go for Poliwrath (I like it better in terms of design and such, plus it gains the fighting typing) but I can see you going for Politoad which would be interesting to see.
Hey Leuroi can you add the tutorial for how to reset the game clock into one of ur videos.. like just dont cut out the part when you do it! It will be helpful and nice to have a longer video than usual... thanks:)
Poliwrath has better attack and defense, Politoed has better sp. attack and sp. defense. While Politoed hits harder with Surf and Ice Punch, Poliwrath's STAB Submission is coming handy. I used Politoed as member of my team in my past Crystal walkthrough and he did pretty well. Great special attacker and special wall at the same time. I don't know, maybe fighting STAB will be more useful but i would like see this green dude again. Also Fisher Tully gives me Water Stone very end game, i hope you will get earlier than me.
Ice is special so Politoad is more likely in my opinion. If he goes for Poliwrath he will negate the ice & water attacks on poliwrath. I'm guessing he'll catch a different fighting dual type
I heard a myth once that If you are a badass trainer your Pokemon can get earlier the level like Lance has 3 inappropriaty level Draonites. This is only relevent for NPC trainers
I think your poliwhirl will become a poliwrath because you don’t have any fighting types and politoad requires a kings rock and then a trade to evolve!
I might be remembering wrong, but didn’t he mention somewhere in the first couple episodes that he didn’t want to use any Kanto Pokémon this time around? If that’s true, then it has to be Politoed Edit: I just went back and checked, and he said he wants to generally stick to gen 2. Dammit Lueroi lol
Swirly will be turned into a Politoed because at the started of the walkthrough Lueroi said he will prefer to use Gen 2 Pokémon and Politoed is Gen 2 while Poliwrath is gen 1
I will be that one guy that says Politoed because assuming you are playing crystal on a 3ds, it is possible to obtain a politoed (even if you are playing on an emulator there is always the opportunity to use other means to obtain it).
Poliwrath would be the better choice in my opinion that fighting type typing would add my variety to your team plus Jasmine and Pryce are weak to fighting types.
Man they really did Johto dirty in Crystal like a few of the johto mons are not even in the game. The whole mareep line is unobtainable in Crystal and they removed girafarig
Unless you're playing on 3DS and have 2 of them with a virtual console pokemon game, or have a friend to trade.. go for Politoed. Otherwise get a Poliwrath which is actually a better option in my opinion
