I remember when I was a little boy in summer camp playing Fire Red, and without any sort of guide, I actually _deduced_ Articuno’s location. I felt like such an adventurer.
I mean it's a lose-lose situation, you either have to wait atleast 10 minutes to capture it, or use masterball hacks or plain out kill it. Any of the three choices there will be someone who will dislike it.
The legendary pokémon encounter music always scared me as a kid, especially when i first encountered the legendary beasts in the wild. Idk why lol probably because of the high-pitched tune?
Imagine being in a situation where someone asks you: "Where'd all the legendary pokemon go?" To which you reply "Oh, the legendaries? Gotta kill em' all."
deoxys theme is one of the best themes imo.. just a shame that half the people who owned firered couldn't hear it due to those ultra lame aurora tickets
KorbY i feel like those games were a lot harder back then due to the limitations of the game boy. Plus just catching a Pokémon seemed like a nightmare in it self.

I remember getting the lugia and ho-oh events all those years ago, I was so happy to obtain even one of them! Then I found out Deoxys was in the game also, and was dossapointed I never was able to get him.
I remember in the 90's playing Pokemon Red/Blue. There were no easy access to guides. No youtube. No online help. And when you discovered Legendaries, it blew your freakin brains out...
How the heck do you get Deoxys, Lugia, Ho-oh and the 3 dogs ? I always thought the only legendaries in this game were the birds and Mewtwo... Being a kid with no internet made me miss many things in this game
@@nachou_the_clown I wonder if he means that it uses the same wild pokemon encounter, but it's remixed. You are right that it's a different tone. I used to think the tone was the same as the legendary bird until someone pointed out that Mewtwo had a higher pitch than them. Also, Raikou, Entei, and Suicune used their scrapped theme from Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald Version in the true FireRed and LeafGreen Version, which the Pokemon expert who realized this is fan-made had. I have the pirated LeafGreen Version, because when I found Suicune, the legendary bird theme played, and I thought of him being similar to the legendary birds. This is one reason why Raikou, Entei, and Suicune would not use the same theme legendary birds have, players would think of them as being similar to the legendary birds, so they had to have their scrapped theme from Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald Version in the true version. I still have not found a video of the True LeafGreen and FireRed Version, because every video I find is fan-made since Raikou, Entei, and Suicune have the legendary bird theme.
Man, I would have killed in order to get my hands on legit Mystic/Aurora Tickets. Apparently until just a few years ago if you lived in the UK you could send your Gen 3 cartridges in to Nintendo UK and they would put an Aurora Ticket on it. I've never lived in the UK though and I missed these events as a kid...

Anyone that wants to know how to find the dog legendary Pokémon listen up. Havnt played this game since I was like 10 and now I’m 19. However I remember how frustrating it was to get these and I did everytime. Anyways you have to find a building next to grass and constantly go in and out of the building. and then once you come out of the building go to the grass and run into a Pokémon. It will most likely be a rattata or something normal. THe way it works is there’s an algorithm that everytime you go to a building the legendary randomly spawns invisibley in the grass around the game. So all you have to do is go in a building and then out and into the grass over and over taking many minutes and when I remember it even took a couple hours before. Eventually you will run into the dogs, just keep trying and you can only find it once so I recommend saving your masterball for them. Use an ultra ball for new two and the others.
pokemon go fan from what I remember you didn’t have to be. However I remember getting lead green and fire red and beating and restarting multiple times. Each time I used a master ball and I remember Giovanni gives it to you towards the end of the game. So by chance I might’ve become the champ and then got him after or just got it whenever I don’t think it matters
You need to have beaten the Elite Four and Gary to unlock the hidden beasts. Also use repel! It repels away random pokemon but NOT the hidden beasts! :)
Simple, with base 125 Special Attack and base 100 Speed, Zapdos easily had the best stat spread of the three due to it being the fastest, very powerful and even decently bulky. And unlike the other two, it isn't plagued by a 4X weakness to Stealth Rock, an omnipresent factor in competitive Pokemon.

Try catching the three birds by their corresponding color ball ex. Moltres - Poke Ball Articuno - Great Ball Zapdos - Ultra Ball Hell of challenging but sure was fun

Raikou, Entei and Suicune encounters seem like action replay codes. Their battle theme is the same as Mewtwo (FRLG's vs legendary) Edit: Definitely was hacked. After using Mean Look a fleeing pokemon will give a "Wild can't escape!" but Entei for example just tried to Stomp. Not that it matters that much, but still a bit annoying x_x
No, they're not. A player can get one of three legendary Pokemon based on the starter that you pick at the beginning of the game. I think it happens after you best the elite four, you first have to run into it at a random location, which will then show up in the Pokedex, and if not caught, will run around the entire map. Believe me, I have all three from this method. No action replay required.
Chris Connor use cheat codes man I used me technically you activate a event cheat code and if you enter a pokemart if teleports you too the place like Southern Island and then you deactivate the code in order to enter and catch the event pokemon boom
You can if you have a DS Lite and a flashcart like an R4, dump the save to your computer, inject these events' wonder cards and then restore your save file; that's the most legitimate way to do it

Lugia will always be my favorite legendary bird. Lugia is the most powerful as well. The psychic/flying type is unique and It can learn a huge diverse set of moves. Dark-types and Rock-types arent a threat because it can learn strong fighting-type moves like Cross Chop that will 1 hit KO dark and rock types. Ghost-types arent a threat because Lugia can learn ShadowBall. Thunder Types are no challenge because it can learn the very powerful Earthquake move and Ice Types arent going to do it because Lugia can learn Iron Tail etc. Lugia really has no weaknesses if u look at it.
@MagnusTB_ U may want to recheck. I was wrong on Cross Chop, sure. But Lugia can definitely learn all the rest like Thunder, Thunderbolt, Iron Tail and Shadow Ball. It's not a shit post at all
@@nick56677 you're right it can learn everything you listed except for cross chop, i don't remember exactly what my point was when i commented since its been a lil while and i was overly aggressive, but i think i meant the moveslot limitation of only having 4 moves, since with those 4 you wouldn't have space for more universally useful moves like psychic and aeroblast
So if Suicune was encountered on the surface of water, and it's still there when it faints... Does that mean it can drown? Or would it be exempt from that because it's a Water-type?

I remember going into Fire Red without any guide, and when I accidentally ran into Articuno, I flipped shit. I was kinda pisses because I had 5 Ultra Balls and I didn't know the way back.
I could never find ho-oh, lugia and deoxys as a child. So fun to look at videos like this now. Back then we did not have any guides. It was a pure adventure!
Leaf green was the first pokemon game I played and I randomly encountered an Entei, and as a dumb kid i didnt know he was a legendary i just killed him an proceeded into my path. After weeks I watched a pokemon movie and then saw that Entei was a legendary. My 9 year old brain was toasted. 😭😭😭😂😂😂
When I replayed this game as a teen I caught the birds, suicune and mewtwo. Never knew till a few years later that the others were possible but by events. Man
It is my favourite game i also caught all legendary Pokemon in emerald & Fire red...this game not have great graphics But story makes it very adventurous....i love this game very much...

Pretty sure he was playing with an emulator. So after he recorded, he just reset the game from the last save point then caught it. He just showed how to find each one.
Huh I was always wondering how my uncle got Mewtwo on Pokemon Emerald Version... He probably traded with one of his friends with either Pokemon Leaf or Fire version with the GBA adapter...
Heavy kirby he knocked those non events legendary Pokémon because they can respawn once u beat the elite four again which is how it is for every other Pokémon games
I really wish they would make events like ho-oh lugia and deoxys again.. Its kinda lame you just get the pokemon now. And in some pokemon games you are able to catch them again but it is always the same scenario as each other pokemon for example in Omega Ruby and alpha saphire.. I remember when youtube was new and people uploaded videos how they are catching pokemons like Mew,Deoxys and celebi. I tried my best searching for a way to get on those islands since there were so many "Guides" online that told you how.. But when in reality it was not possible without cheats or the event.. I actually thought at one point that those pokemons were suposed to be a cheat left by the developers
I'm looking at videos because i just recently started playing Arceus and it reminds me so much of leaf Which i completed as a kid and i loved it over any other pokemon or Gameboy game for some reason , in one save i remember having Articuno,Moltres,Charizard, Mewtwo and Zapdos
I gave away my cartridge to a friend over a decade ago that had my lvl 100 mewtwo and all the legendary birds. I was done with the game so i decided why not. Waxing nostalgic I kinda want it back to rip the saves onto my PC.
There are five legendaries in Kanto, no more no less. Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewtwo and one of the legendary dogs based on your starter (I’ll be dealing with Entei in my latest play through which is good because he is manageable, unlike Raikou). You cannot get Deoxys, Lugia or Ho-Oh without an event or hacking.
@@hghjjklkkxxxv First off, you can only get Entei if you started with Bulbasaur. Whichever one has a type effectiveness against your starter, that's the one you'll get. You have to complete the Sevii Islands, catch or defeat Mewtwo. Then the dog will be roaming around Kanto.
