Strange how just the addition of the Gen 2 *Ding* ! for when an opponent slides into position across from your character, suddenly makes the song go from intense to "Game's gotten *REAL* intense".

I like red more than lance tbh. I mean come on, Look at him. He's the chillest character. While lance talks about how invincible his dragons are, red is over here like: "...." *Throws out Charizard* and GG. Truly the best trainer in my book.

this right here... i duno why but it hits me so hard to the point of wanting to cry from nostgia. i remember being 5 years old and talking about pokemon and evolutions like it was really important to know, or how to reach ericas gym like it was an important secret, or sabrinas gym like that was a secret treasure (pokemon yellow) and hearing the perfect mix of what is an amazing modern theme of trainer red, blended nicely with the classic... it just makes it all feel like pokemon has changed so much, but it still has always kept to core the same things, basically only adding to it.
