Pokémon GO Released the BEST New Pokémon in the WORST Way

My city park had one raid at five and two at six. I did the one at five and was planning on catching the rare bonus spawns for the thirty minutes and then wait for the two at six. None of the dozen or so people at the park ended up getting the spawn bonus, so everyone just left. Elite raids have been in the game for over a year now and they are still broken. Kinda impressive.

Was working all day today. Raids were gone by the time I was done. I’ve missed so many raiding events at this point, I don’t even have FOMO anymore over it

Local raids are dead in my town. Just got got back home from my hunt and had to watch three different Enamorus slowly despawn.

Living in NYC and could literally count the number of "in person raids" for this Pokémon on one hand. Such a let down.

A collegue and myself left work early for lunch to get to a raid at 12. We arrived at a raid 30 seconds after it had started and had seen 6 people had joined. 5 seconds before we arrived, the six people must have readied up so we tried to duo it but failed even with party power. After losing the raid, we saw there was a new lobby with 10 people and joined it. However, when the raid started, it was just my colleague and I again, despite us seeing people in the lobby when all our pokemon had fainted. We then went to join another raid at 1 and joined six people (probably the same from before who readied up quickly), won it and despite 19 balls each with multiple golden razz and excellent throws, we both failed to catch it. We tried again at a 5 o' clock raid but it was just the two of us, so we just said screw Niantic and left. One of the worst experiences in Pogo for us.

Was stuck under 40cm of snow during a blizzard this event. Fingers crossed she comes back around sooner than later!

Managed to do one single Enamorus at 5 (1 in ranger, there were NO 6 PM raids), 5 dex in-raid (2 on-site), didn't catch it due to a horrible combination of rain and catch rate. This has been THE worst Elite Raid Event.

1 day only, Wednesday in the middle of February when most of thier player base is in a cold climate. Another beautiful Niantic decision.

I took off work early, went to the area where I usually raid, there were zero elite raids in the entire area. I did mange to find a single raid back in a neighborhood that had a bunch of people in it that I did not see.

Yea I can agree with the comments. It was such bad timing. In my neighborhood NO ONE showed up for the noon or 1 spawns I showed up to both. (all gyms in area were same team as me and they were all minimum health) no one was active at all (at least from my neighborhoods stats) at the later spawns 5-6 I found my friend at the 5 one (we then found no one so we tried to duo it and failed by 5% health was actually such a tragedy) then for the next spawn we did find a raid party size of 9 total so we found 7 others at the very last 15 minutes of the spawn, we then proceeded to beat the spawn, with 9 of us there I am pretty sure only 1 walked away with enamorus, I added the new 7 cause they are I my town and now I'll have people in area who will most likely be at future events/raids, one of them didn't add back so unfortunately he didn't say if he caught it or not, at the end of this paragraph, i just state that I am sadge :( like I was the only one to show up for the first two spawns, could we have not saved it for Saturday? May Ho-oh shine on us one day..

I only managed one raid because I find it difficult to get out and about on my own due to health, but I got the weather boosted hundo! Felt super good after such a dry spell with my luck :’ )

There was none in my area i looked all around my town there was NOTHING😢😢😢😢

We didn't see any raid in the area I'm living in. I looked at Campfire and I can see over 20 gyms, and no one had Enamorus raids during the evening when I was able to play.

There has been a lot of flooding in my area, and there were only a few raids within a reasonable distance, one of which was impossible to get to, I didn’t see a single raid that had anyone in the lobby. It effectively made it impossible for me to catch it

Middle of the week, during Valentine’s Day. Most people at work. In person, on Ash Wednesday as well. Who at Niantic thought it was a good idea to make the elite raids today?

Campfire is a great way to build up a list of locals for a raid, if used properly. I did 16 raids, got 6 rare XL, 50+ rare candy, 15 poffin, 15 / 13 / 15 was my best...saw 4 others get the hundo. Btw, I didn't see the buff on your screen for the spawns....it's a stopwatch looking thing. I saw it on my 12 / 1 / 5 raids...but my last one I didn't see the timer pop up....but when I looked I was further than 2 km from the raid. I am on Central time zone, I am not able to make it out to LA this time around. Hoping for fest in Chicago....

What I've disliked about this release is how random the raid locations were. I'm part of a university group that raid on our campus but ZERO elite eggs spawned on campus. There sure were a lot spawning outside of campus though. I would have been nice if they put more thought into which gyms the eggs spawned in.

got 3 of them by just driving to random ones and seeing that there were 1 or 2 people also waiting there for others to show up. Most people was 7

What was weird was our main raid spot had zero elite raids all day. They were scattered throughout the city and had to find some 6pm ones. Kind of a pain in the ass.

My game crashes mid battle. The other 4 trainers lost the battle meanwhile I lost my pass and couldn’t get back in because the raid boss was gone. Leave it to Niantic to fuck it up again.

We only saw two raids for this pokemon, and no one showed up to do them. We tried to connect with players on discord, but they were 30 minutes away, and we knew we'd never make it. There just weren't any nearby, plus, during raid hour there weren't even regular raids. Day sucked all around

Buddy functionality idea / introduction of “bottle caps”: What if for a certain amount of Km walked with a buddy, the buddied Pokémon were to find a bottle cap where, when applied, would increase or decrease the buddy’s IVs by 1. For this idea, let’s say the Km needed to “find a bottle cap” were based on the rarity of the Pokémon and would multiply by 1.2x each IV gained. For example, based on the eggs the Pokémon hatch from, or the level raid needed for the reward encounter, would determine if you needed 20 (tier1), 30 (tier3), 40 (tier4) or 50Km (tier5) walked for a single IV change. If a trainer had a 10/15/15 IV Charmander, they would need to walk 148.832km (round to 149) with the buddy Pokémon to get to 100% IVs. If a trainer had a 10/15/15 IV Gible, they would need to walk 297.664km (round to 298) with the buddy Pokémon to get to 100% IVs. If a trainer had a 10/15/15 IV Mewtwo, they would need to walk 446.496km (round to 447) with the buddy Pokémon to get to 100% IVs. The same math would be applied to reduce IVs for PVP Pokemon. In addition to finding bottle caps with your buddy walking, perhaps they could be found in other activities by your buddy. Such as spinning stops/ raids/ gym battling / etc. This would also be EXTREMELY rare. To avoid problems with caught 100%s, the stat changes could be visibly different than normal stats with the following: * a notation on the Pokémon screen * different colored IVs showing a bottle cap was applied * the CP of these bottle capped Pokémon would be -1 of actual 100%s or PVP IVed caught Pokémon * the 100% bottle capped would not be searchable with 4* but would have a search just for “bottle capped.” Pros: - This would make spoofing or radar services less profitable and encourages more gameplay with the same Pokémon. - Entices player to “bond” with a single Pokémon for longer and therefore play the game more often to get the coveted 100% dex. - Allows all types of players to get 100%s while also not flooding the player base with actual 100%s. Cons: - All players would have access to the best Pokémon if they walk enough - The need to catch all Pokémon would be reduced slightly If you can think of any other pros/cons, reply to this comment so we can share our thoughts about the idea and maybe someone at Niantic will pick it up! Ideas welcomed and I’ll update the post accordingly. Side note: Could it be this is why Ash Ketchum’s Pikachu was so powerful? Because Ash built a string relationship with him? Did some of these as well, maybe more will come in normal raids at a later date like Regieleki and Regidrago. Also I got a shiny heart pattern Spinda from who knows when, definitely over a year ago, which in case of the shiny becomes a broken heart! Also got a separate 100% Spinda.

from my rural town we had 1 raid at 6pm there was no other raid within a 30 minute drive passing through uptown 5 other towns in each direction. the large town approx 45 minutes away had over 20 raids through out the day. it is so damn frustrating that niantic have little to no regard for rural players or their player base in general.

Was almost able to get it but unfortunately the few people who did it in my town didn’t wait a few extra mins for people to arrive before just doing it lol.

I urge Pokemon Go players, do not too obsessed to show off Pokemon which is not officially release by Niantic especially in any of social media or any type of ways that is able to knew by Niantic. After that Niantic immediately revoke the Pokemon and replace by others something else. Let Niantic realize by their own that's accidentally released.

Drove around my small town checking the raids, but raiding is dead here....even though there are players that frequently take gyms. Only way I get legendaries is via remote invites. So this was kind of a dead event minus the 2 first places I got in showcases.

Catching it in legends arceus was difficult. I wish i could have done the raid but i couldnt find anyone who was available

The grandmothers in my area who play enjoy raiding in the middle of a week day. Unfortunately, I was at the office and couldn't join them.

I caught this over what I think was a year ago. Then Niantic took it back. It was caught on a remote raid, when you all were at the Vegas event. Sent screen shot of it and the raid to Mystic at the time.

I'm betting it will come back, because it has another forme, and because of shiny release. Kinda expecting it also to be available during Sinnoh Tour, or another Hisuian Event.

I didn`t even bother, since there were no one raiding any of the places I could see on my map. Totally hopeless, I don`t get what they were thinking, that did it like this.

I ran to do this raid. During the all my Pokemon were beaten I was switching to the next group could not get back to the raid. The raid ended, raid was won. The game crashed and was not able to catch it.

I actually loved Enamorus raid day, It was so awesome seeing so many people in person again. I'm going to disagree with the title right out the gate. Yes, it was inconvenient for a lot of people. But there were four different time slot options. And it was announced early enough that people made it work. People didn't get to do all of them, but that's okay too. Im hoping Enamorus becomes a valentine's Day tradition in Go

I wanted to get more but I only managed to get one because the timing just didn't work... The IVs aren't the greatest as well. So hopefully it'll be back soon!

Only managed to do one, and that was because I could reach it from my car at a local park. It was below freezing and super windy.

Saw no raids for it at all yesterday, checked at all the correct times but nothing. So I missed out on it I guess.

My group started early and I missed both my chances :(

Unfortunately no one plays here so couldn't get it, I hate Elite raids and the last few event exclusive pokemon like Drampa where I have to wait for another release.

all legendarys that have been in elite raids has come to normal 5 star raids and the same will happen with Enamorus and if not dont care i have plenty of top tier fariy and flying types for raiding im not going to misses this pokemon i did not go out to raid it cuz niantic is not going to make me play on there time i play when i want :)

Considering all of the Elite Raid bosses have exclusive attributes in the main series thus far, this was a Pokemon company decision 100%, not Niantic.

I was on a plane for 10 hours - absolutely zero chance to be anywhere near a raid for this. Elite raids still suck.

I got hardest hitter with 3559 DMG dealt. It ran from me and I was only able to do that one raid 😢

I think it should be a feature to enable whether or not someone gifts you an event pass, I generally skip out on the paid event stuff so if someone gifts it to me I feel like I'm obligated to complete it and I don't really like that feeling

Wow I was walking at 5 and had Pokémon go running. Happened upon a group doing this raid and managed to get a good IV one. I did not realize this was only in raids today until I watched this.

yeah I did three enamorus raids in the same park, it spawned nothing.

On top of everyone working and no one doing the raids the thing is extremely hard to catch it broke out instantly with all my balls I hit plus seems far from the screen I drove through half hour in traffic just to fight him luckily 10 people showed up in raid (most of them had 2 phones) we got him pretty quickly but he broke out of every ball with golden razz I gave him was hard to hit great throws so I didn’t get all great

I had issues 3 time it was extreme rainy and it was keep freezing when clicking on gym so I miss out 3 raids

I'm sorry so many people had trouble with this elite raid. I had to take off work and was able to get a few during lunch time. It was fun. But I understand not everyone can do that.

I work within sight of 25 gyms.... there were no raids at 12, none at 1, none at 5, and only 1 at 6. All around my city there were 7 of them... 6 at 6 PM. Niantic failed so absolutely horribly it makes you wonder how much brain damage the leader of one of their live event team leads has. It seems like every other event is so mismanaged I KNOW I would get fired if I failed that much.

I love Enamorus. I had *no* ability to raid it in an elite raid at 5pm on Valentine's Day.

I live in New Orleans. no one was out because it was ash Wednesday.. we are all exhausted from Mardi Gras..

I know this "isn't the way the game goes"....BUT, I think that Niantic goes through waves where everyone either gets better-than-normal IVs or worse-than-normal IVs, and this time all of the Enamorus raids were terrible for me. Caught 15, three of which were two 10's and an 11, and most of the rest were 2 stars.

And you can't remote raid pass it either. Which for me where there are no other local raiders, sucks too...

this debut on a wednesday is an insult to all of us who are stuck at work most of the day. the two earlier raids were on when i was still at work, and i could only get enough people for the 5 o'clock raid. we have three gyms that were elite raid gyms and only one of those had a 5 o'clock raid. the six of us barely managed to beat the thing but we couldn't make it to the other raids. not everyone lives in places where there are lots of elite raid gyms and not everyone can go raiding all day on a wednesday. i'm glad that i was able to get one but it's really not fair

I heard a lot of complaints about them not being available in many areas.

Thank you for pointing out there are more people in the lobby than there are in the area. Other games use this slimy practice of artificially inflating the numbers. If something about a game feels strange or fake, its a good idea to not ignore it.

I didn't see any of pokemon spawn either yesterday. 🤷‍♀️ Such a let down! I did get a 96% Enormous though!

I understand all the discontentment / frustration in the video and in the comment section ; only we are a silent fair amount of players who actually did not have a bad experience. We haven’t see this many players since mewtwo was released in EX raids. People were more available during the lunch break that we use to see on the weekends. And for once we had no difficulty to find enough people to raid it, the lobby was always over 5 trainers. Knowing 24 hours in advance where would the raids be was also very useful to coordinate or create a raid route. Finally, the rewards were very good for these raids (I got 8 poffins!!). So, sorry for the positive comment 😅

I believe the 3 poffin reward is the first rime I've seen poffins as rewards for raids. Interesting... I caught 3 f them today, and every single one gave me 3 enamorus xl candies too. If only all the high level raids had these rewards consistently... I'd probably buy way more remote passes and stuff.🤷‍♂️

I actually prefer the elite raids on a weekday. I went to a local park on my lunch break from work. I don't like having to plan my weekends around doing raids

Is it safe to say Niantic is incredibly out of touch at this point? I don't hate elite raids, it's a fun way to bring people together sometimes, but doing an elite raid event on a weekday where most people won't have time for it because of work/school, in favour of "but it's the 14th, it's valentines dayyyy" instead of making it a raid hour thing later in the evening, or a weekend event, is just not very well thought out.

After an entire day of looking, was only able to find one raid with enough people. Dispite using a golden raspberry every shot and almost every throw was an excellent throw, she broke out of every single ball. Worst time I've had with an event. I hope niantic can learn from all the complaints they're getting, "hope".

Saw one of these raids appear at a gym nearby. Went to it, tried 4 times, wasted 80 max revives, and on an attempt that looked promising my game got softlocked and kicked me out of the raid as it ended. All in all these elite raids are not the direction Niantic should push towards.

Yeah there was one half a block from my office but I got the 1pm not the 12pm version so my butt was on a meeting 🙄

Even if I did do the raid, I’d still need to have owned Arceus and transferred Enamorous before I can send a Go one to the Switch 🙃

my gf and i went out today to play pokemon go explicitly for this raid, knowing we likely wouldn't have enough manpower to take it down, but because of the extremely specific timeframes, we didn't manage to see a single raid.

Though I did work from home today and could have tried to get out during my lunch, I was also sick so that did not happen. I also had a great birthday hacking up a lung today 😂

I'm just waiting for next year when it's released in regular raids along with its shiny, why waste my time on something available only for a day when I have to work

Living in a region when 'imaginary friends' are limited, plus as a strict in-person trainer it's a hard skip for me this raid. Will just wait till when it's back.
