Is it Pokémon Z-A in reference to AZ from Gen 6 (his name just backwards) and this will be in the past when he was younger or maybe in the middle of that time and the Gen 6 games?

The AZ connection sounds plausible. More info is still coming out about the game. Nintendo posted that the entire game takes place in this city.

I also liked PLA, but I played long after they had Home compatibility. S/V were pretty rough before Home compatibility, so I can only assume it was the same with PLA.
