6:26 I like how there's no audio sign of that failed gastly encounter. Me being not focus enough, have to rewatch that part again to realise gastly's death and laugh.
I think golduck might have gotten a lot of defense EVs from grinding in both the oreburgh mine and iron island mostly, since a lot of the geodude and graveler give defense evs
I’m calling it now, you’re gonna blow up majorly. Your videos are well-polished and edited, with some fun humor and interesting commentary to set yourself apart from the Pokémon-challenge-video pack. Great idea and I can’t wait to see more of your stuff!
Ngl it’s hella refreshing seeing a nuzlocke not being a monotype run but a trashlocke. Also noticed you have battle animations off I’d suggest turning it on during gym battle and important fights
I love seeing under-used Pokemon getting some spotlight. Most of his Pokemon aren't bad, but in Sinnoh there are a lot of powerhouse Pokemon so some get left behind. Octillery and Glalie can be dangerous if they have the Moody ability.
I love the close fight at the end, reminds of my re-play of pearl a few months ago. It was my infernape against cynthias milotic. I thought it was over cause I was in the yellow, with reduced def and spdef. I was faster though and I got the crit with close combat. felt like I was in the anime with that win haha.
love the fact you went through movesets and items in more detail. You never really see that kind of thing. Love the sheer amount of channels doing hardcore nuzlockes now but this is one of the most pleasing i've seen
I've used pachirisu several times in normal playthoughs. It's actually pretty good. It has ok bulk for a pika clone, charm, super fang, discharge for lots of paralysis and stab and grass knot for coverage.
This was impressive to watch, some of the decisions you made were super big brain. I never used Super Fang in my runs, but your fight against Volkner convinced me to try it. You dodged so many important crits.
All of your challenge videos are great. Absolutely love your commentary on the battles its fast paced super entertaining, informative, and keeps you immersed in the action. Your channel's definitely going places
Love the video! Suggestion: would love a death counter on your layout. I usually watch RU-vid while working around the house, and it helps me keep up with anything I might have missed
This run went way above my expectations considering it was your first one. Along with good play, I really liked your jokes with the Pokemon names. Also awesome that you finished the game with Octillery, it's one of my favorite water types!
I'll be honest I considered this challenge too, but was going to do it based on bst, I'm happy I didn't do it though because this method of encounters is easily better (though I probably would've still had dupes clause instead of skipping encounters where I already had the worst pokemon)
That’s good since BST is a pretty flawed method to mesure a Pokemon’s viability since if you have a mediocre typing, not an insane movepool, meh abilities or badly retributed stats, you’re not gonna a be incredible despite an high BST. An exemple of this is Gogoat which has BST higher than every grass starter (531) but despite that isn’t very good for the reasons stated earlier
I really like how you showed the missing footage through a battle simulator. It's unfortunate, but it happens. Great video, I'm excited to see your future content
honestly this was insane. great run buddy I enjoyed it vv much. the editing was very cool and I enjoyed showing all the possible pkmn on certain routes. there s a lot of effort going on and I hon respect that
YES! Another Poketuber to add to my subscriptions! Highly looking forwards to more videos and would love to see the same kind of Nuzlock in other gens. Godspeed!
hella late to this, but i enjoyed this! for me, if the person doesn’t have a good commentating voice i’m not gonna watch it, love what you’re doing here! great voice too. happy to be a new sub
I never thought I would see a Golduck becoming the MVP of a team but here we are I love these types of videos that give a highlight to those Pokémon you wouldn't use normally. That said I think the video was really well done and I'll be looking forward to more content!!
Beautiful Fantina fight. A lesser Nuzlocker would have called it quits with everyone in red health, but it's seriously impressive how you manipulated the AI like that.
GG on the run! It's super satisfying to see a group of underdogs in the Hall of Fame, really well played! A few tips on the presentation: the narration sometimes felt rather monotone. As if you're giving a PowerPoint presentation in high school 😂 One thing I like about Antlerboy for instance, is his high energy and presentation style, which is a lot more lively and fast-paced. It's cool if that's not a style you vibe with, but maybe it is c: Your first Hardcore Nuzlocke video, I get it, I'm not judging you at all :P But give it a shot! Put some oomf into your voice :D Like you're telling your friends about this awesome game you played! 😁 You got the skill, you got the game knowledge, you got basically all the setup for blowing up. You got a bright future ahead of you, good sir! 💪
You have only 3 videos as of yet and i'm already in love with your channel. Keep up the great work! I love how in depth this is, and your commentary what do you plan on doing next?
Nuzlockes are really overdone imo and I haven't had great interest in them from the beginning, but I love your way of narrating and explaining, your humour and just your overall presence. You could do almost anything and I'd enjoy it! Please continue with these videos, they are really enjoyable to watch and at least for me, you are so much more charismatic than many other creators who do similar things!
Great video man! :D A shor tip, I recommend you to try to avoid critical hits more time, your run could have ended sooner with a preventable crit on some spots
Not only are you playing 1 hour of Pokemon for every minute of video, you also have to edit and write a script for everything. Insane amount of work put into these videos with what I imagine to be very little monetary compensation. Great channel honestly.
This was honestly excellent. Most of the creators hopping on the nuzlocke trend are either unentertaining, or blatantly cheating their way through potential bad RNG to get the runs completed more easily, so I generally only watch Jan & FlygonHG. This was honestly really good though, easily got a sub outta me ^^
This is the most elaborate set of hardcore nuzlocke rules I've seen. Would you be interested in suggestions? 1. One move of each type only run. You can use any moves learnable by level up (no tm, no tutor), but you can only use one of each type. That limits your team to four Pokemon and no status moves. I'm curious what kind of strange team this would result in. 2. Black/White FIRST stage dark Pokemon only: Purrloin, Sandile, Pawniard, Vullaby etc. They are interesting Pokemon but usually people only use their evolutions or not at all, and fifth gen has a lot of dark types. 3. No stone run - Nidorina, Nidorino, Jigglypuff, Clefairy, Male Kirlia, Eevee, Staryu etc.
Sending this too all my buddies. Your narration, jokes, ideas and jjst general presence are so entertaining. Can’t wait to see your channels future success!!!
Here's a challenge run I can guarantee you no one else has done before: Can you beat pokemon emerald while only using pokemon AND moves that have a K in their name?
@@frnzilla K is more challenging. You're forced to pick mudKip and can only use tacKle (you can catch a slaKoth and trade it for a maKuhita but it can't use arm thrust to help with roxanne anyway, so...) and there's only like 18 other pokemon with k's in their name and some of the best moves you're allowed to use are one-use TMs, etc. etc.
I really enjoyed this video! I’m excited to see what else you do in the future because the production value of your current videos is great. I’m subscribed and I hope others will too! Fingers crossed you’ll be one of the big names on Pokémon RU-vid in the future.
I've been naturally playing like this for years. I just find it way more interesting using weaker Pokémon later in the game and it makes your team feel more unique
when I saw the Snorunt you caught was male I was so sad, Froslass is my favorite mon :c also what you said about her during the Candice fight hurts but that's unfortunately true
