I still stand by my initial opinion that the bad loop version is equally good, I was happy with it when I was playing through the game for the first time and I still enjoy this version. There is just something so intense and putting you into unease with it that really fits the vibe of the Elite 4 challenge

Honestly an entire endgame battle song like this where it’s just super low key and on edge the entire song would be really cool. Just… tension and nothing else, completely unlike all the other battle themes Game Freak makes. Just throwing you off and making you at least a little scared for what you were doing. Kinda like the themes for the PSMD dark world. Just “heya! Bet you thought you were hot shit, huh?”

I'm ashamed to admit I didn't soft reset when I did Elite Four & Champion in my playthrough of Pokemon Violet, and now the only way I can hear their tracks is via RU-vid. Such a shame too, because they're so good! Should let us get to re-challenge them so those of us who missed it can actually get to enjoy them 😭
