Apparently academy directors have that special something. The first time you bring Iono to the league club she'll ask about something weird in the academy that would be interesting to stream, and you can suggest director Cyrano. She'll dismiss the idea thinking it would be boring, but on the next visit she'll say that he was totally into it and even managed to "steal her thunder"
I honestly love how Brassius and Grusha bond in their past experiences in depression. It's especially amusing when Grusha is somewhat annoyed that he's so easy to read, yet admits that Brassius understands him so well through one conversation.
@@spectrum-5 Uhh... If Grusha was legit deep in depression, he wouldn't find some ounce of enjoyment and meaning in his role as a Gym Leader. Also, those who have depression don't tend to blatantly share that they have it. Brassius basically said to Grusha "You have depression" without Grusha having the chance to say anything.

Same! I was initially feeling iffy about this cast, but just seeing them all bounce off of each other and highlighting their characters might make this the best batch of characters yet!
It's great how far Pokemon has come over the years over developing characters, the DLC really did flesh them out so much more. The interactions are great.
I love that Brassius went and checked out Burgh’s gym. That’s why when he asked for a trade, I gave him a Swadloon that I caught in Kitakami. It makes clothes out of leaves which is a work of art and also Burgh’s ace Pokémon. Just imagine Brassius with a Leavenny. It’s just “avant-garde”.

Goddammit why didn't I think of that? I gave him a Bulbasaur. Mainly because I wanted to see him with one in the rematch (though vileplume also makes sense) but also because he was working on a bulbasaur statue in his concept art.
Looking at Brassius' fondness of Burgh's gym and Brass' own interest in Katy's patisserie, it's kinda funny how a Grass specialist is particularly attracted to Bug instead.
I haven’t laughed from Pokémon dialogue since I was a little kid. Not because it was bad, just that the funniest jokes could only really make me smile. But for some reason the first character to make me laugh was Larry, the deadpan sarcastic normal type gym leader.

Still, the Dragon Tamer Tribe also tend to play a Major Part in several of the Political Events that occur within the Pokémon World - almost to the Level of a Yakuza Family, with the Level of Commitment the Elders demand of their Descendants to their Training: this is what causes Younger Dragon Tamers like Iris and Drayton to Rebel, taking leave of their Families to Follow their Own path to Dragon Mastery...

In BW Iris calls Drayden grampa but says they’re not blood related, so the more likely thing is that Iris and Drayton have a more cousin like relationship or sibling relationship considering Drayden is his biological grandfather and her adopted one

Don't forget that Dragon Trainers are usually in the Elite 4 in almost every League or at least the final gym leader you fight. Kinda hard to not be known by peers in similar occupations.

She's always been pretty sketchy the few times you talk to her, doesn't she even have a Zoroark on her team in the school tournament? I was honestly expecting her to have a role in this DLC given how much she loves 'treasure' and what better treasure than the 'Hidden treasure of Area Zero'? A little disappointed she was just a throwaway NPC for the Ruinous Pokemon side quest

Happy to see Ryme and Tyme interact, you can see their contrasting personalities. Same for Tulip and Dendra Kinda hoped to see Clavell and Geeta interact though.
Even Geeta once mentioned the player when she visited BB Academy that she was doing some talking with the Unova League. Perhaps even she would appear in a future game, especially a Unova Remake?
@@nishant9289 I think Larry will show up in Black and White 3, should it actually come out, according to that interaction between him and Geeta. The Unova games has that tournament where past characters can show up. As for Geeta herself, she may but champions appearing outside of their games is rare outside of tournament areas and usually relegated to cameos. That being said the Pokemon company has been doing stuff since Gen 5 that they wouldn't have done in earlier generations. Gen 10 would be the perfect time to have a character from a prior generation being a major character in the story, if Ingo in Legends Arceus isn't counted due to how different that game is from the others.
The PWT was exactly my First Thought when I saw that Line from Geeta - totally in line with her Character, too. Though that got me thinking... there were a few General Trainers that showed up in B2W2's PWT - did a Businessman NPC named Larry happen to be among them, as someone One of the SV Devs just HAD to bring back in some way?!

Okay, but can we talk about how comically shady Raifort is? She became one of my favorite characters just from helping us pinpoint the Ruinous Quartet, but her admitting she's raiding ancient tombs to steal relics and is being hexed for it is hilarious to me.
~Glad to see Raifort's twitching hair has been addressed and that she regularly engages with the macabre in her fieldwork. ~Rita is adored in-game for her appearance too. ~Crispin has a crush on Lacey but can't spit it out. ~Drayton is 100% down for "stickin' it to the man." ~Grusha was an Iono stan before she got big. I just love Gen IX's cast of characters.
Geeta and Larry dialogue sounds like her sending him to the PWT or something. It could be a hint about him appearing in the new region or in the unova remake

If you remember B2W2, the triplets abandoned the gym leader titles because they realized that they weren't strong enough and that they depended too much on each other. So it is possible that they also decided to go on their separate ways and each one made their own restaurant, may Chili made a new restaurant in Virbank, got married and had Crispin. But It could also be that they are just distantly related and Crispin is more of a reference to them that the developers thought would be fun

One thing that SV has over the past games is how slice of life-y it is and I love it, it probably has the most wholesome moments/interactions in main game Pokemon in fact I’d love to hear what others favorite slice of life moment from this game was
I liked how in one of Saguaro's classes he mentions that he got a question from a student, and almost gives away that said student is Arven, and you get the chance to ask if it was Arvens name he was about to say. He'll say it wasn't but then slip up towards the end and mention Arven by name anyway😊
It funny to learn that Geeta is actually a bit of an airhead sometimes. I honestly would like to know the circumstances of why a Glimmet was in her hair.
I think Geeta was being nice to Larry, but based on my observations, he doesn't like being promoted or something like that, so that's why he's acting like that towards Geeta.

so poppy is now the youngest confirmed elite four member in the series at the age of nine that's insane kind of like how leon was the youngest confirmed champion in the series at the age of 10 also if she did enroll in the school while all the other kids would be scared of her she would have had nemona at least hell nemona was in the same situations poppy was afraid of so if poppy went to school the two would have been like sisters (too bad for poppy Nemona has found her sister in pokemon masters EX)

I french she says something like " Un trio de cœurs qui piquent un trieur, un triopikeur qui ..." (I forgot the end and it might not be accurate but those words were in it) and the fact that triopikeur ( dugtrio in french) is a ground type is a nice touch

Raifort saw how Blair attempted to take her throne as the most sus character in sv and decide to not only take her throne back but also jump into possibly one of the most sus characters in the franchises
I love how they go all out with the dlc. New mons, new mechanics like synchro and flight, catchable starters...give us new fun characters and fleshing out the old ones with fun interactions.
It’s interesting to see how Gen 9 has done a lot regarding teasing relationships You have Penny finding Atticus cute, Ortega admiring Penny, Brassius and Hassel’s implied romance, Carmine getting flustered over Drayton and Crispin crushing on Lacey It’s interesting to see since romance is seldom looked into in the Pokémon universe
Also Amarys on Kieran (which is kinda weird coz she's his sister's classmate) but she randomly breaks character when you tell her that you and Kieran were paired up in Kitakami. Also she shows the most personal concern second to Carmine for Kieran.

Am I the only one who kinda wanted to be able to invite the team star leaders? Bc some of their interactions would have been comedy gold, or wholesome as hell-
arven and crispin, nemona and drayton, penny and lacey... i want for team star to also go fort on blueberry league or something. they even got no tera orbs but they are heckin strong trainers. but i guess drayton and giacomo would be buddies, amarys and atticus (about precision), eri and lacey and ortega, mela and crispin (fire types baby)

Iris calls Drayden granpa, but is in the same way Poppy does with Hassel. Since Iris is from the Dragon Village or something thta can't be acessed in the games

so appreciate the video and having most of these conversations in one place!! the writing on these is so good, say what you will about scarlet and violet, but they really put a lot of care into its characters. there is at least one that i know of that wasn't included though, between amarys and lacey. they are absolutely adorable together and i wish that had been here too
Seems some of the gym leaders aren't too familiar with each other example Grusha and Iono, but cool we see interactions example we learn Saguaro is a customer of Katy, and Jacq is a regular of Kofu.
Gamefreak is teasing so much when it comes to Unova references. It would be better if Drayton or Snacksworth will give us hints or expanded lore about the original dragon or complete kyurem by namedrop its name.
Remember when everyone thought Clavell would be the major villain? I dont think Raifort will be an evil mastermind but she definately feels like a criminal who would steal valuable things from questionable places.
Raifort *does* send you after the Ruinous Four and gives you a Nasty Plot TM for catching them all. She even says that you can hold on to them...*for now*. She's suspicious AF.

I gave Mr. Saguaro a Love Sweet Ruby Swirl Alcremie named Sweet Love that has a Destiny Mark in a Love Ball and holding a Destiny Knot, with the moves Attract, Helping Hand, Draining Kiss, and Misty Explosion... just to get my point across.
Anyone else thinks the competition Geeta talks about at 14:20 is the Pokemon World Tournament? It's the only place other gym leaders and elite fours congregate to fight one another

@@lianaverwood9810 I get it, but this dialogue, specifically, does not talk about the PTW. If Larry is there, I’m all for it, but in this case here she is not talking about that. It would be easier for her to say that the competition takes places “here in the Unova region” or “at Drifveil City”. If he gets in Pokémon EX, maybe that’s what it’s about, but I like to think it’s something related to the main games, haha.
