To get to the Tournament, You need to finish all the mission given by Peony. You need to finish Calyrex story, Catching Articuno Zapdos Moltres, Catching The Regi Trio.

I'm just going to be honest: this is the best addition in the entire expansion pass in my opinion.

I just realized how integral that use of Follow Me was: If you hadn't used that, G-Max Wildfire would've most likely went straight for Zacian, which would've probably KOed it. Not only did it allow the battle to end the very next turn, but also it let Hop deal the finishing blow to his bro's Gigantamax Charizard with Zacian. I knew you'd win, you still had 3 mons after Togekiss, but I like the fact that you made sure that Hop would be the one to land the finishing blow on his bro's ace.

I was actually surprised how good of a partner Hop was. I was just expecting to cruise through the tournament with no help, but he was kind of a total beast. I’m so proud of him. :’)

What sucks is that there's no set level for the tournament. If it really were a hard post-game, I would expect all the levels to be set to 50 or something.

It’s kind of sad that in the first that in the first Tournament you the choice to pick Hop or Marnie as your partner but Marnie is sooooooooo much weaker than Hop there’s no reason to pick her other than personal preference.

I wish there were set levels, but it was still fun regardless.

I just wish the Galarian Star Tournament could also include the other Trainers from past games like Cynthia,Steven,Red,Lance,N,Blue,And so on,even the other Gym Leaders and Elite Four Members from the other regions too

Man I would had love the star tournament a lot more if they brought back champions and gym leaders from other regions like PWT. The remixes and hearing the crowd would just have me hyped all the time.

It would have been nice if the gym leaders got new returning Pokémon from the Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra

What I'd love to see, honestly, is how Avery and Bede interact. I've seen them interact ONCE (when I was paired with Avery in a later go, and we were facing Bede and Opal), and Avery seems to taunt him about him giving up on Psychics (despite the fact that Bede's team actually is Psychic heavy). My first time in, I was relatively unprepared, and used (two?) of my competitive pokemon - Chandelure and Dragapult. Unfortunately, with the level cut offs, it was a quick play through. I thought once we got into the locker room that it would let us change up Pokemon and realized quickly how incorrect I was. Hop having Zacian honestly helped out A TON, because I was horribly unprepared. The other pokemon I had on me were simply ones I was leveling up to hypertrain. Didn't fix my moves on them or anything, so oops. **Spoiler Warning-ish?** Since then, I've gone in (way too many times), and I can say this little portion of the Crown Tundra is what makes this half of the DLC worth it for me. The chemistry, the seemingly odd teams - they're all so invigorating! Peony isn't the most helpful partner, but he's precious. Avery's (I'd assume same with Klara since they're mirrored-ish?) growth in his interaction, becoming your teammate and even admitting how nice it feels to rise to the top WITH you is just...I died. Love, love, love him. I was hoping for something like that with Bede, but as much as I hate to admit it, his cool attitude towards you as your partner is just so him. Him being kind would have probably put a damper on that experience. Lastly in my little rant- it seemed like Sordward and Shielbert's interactions with you as your partner is like...making up for them not having a lot of screen-time? Still thought it was cute, and of course canon for them to go on and on, but they're more long-winded than Hop's initial go through with you. Sordward was more useful as a partner, in my opinion, and the fact that he called player "my liege" had me dead.

was honestly expecting mustard and leon to team up. 2 champions fighting together

I purposely only went in with three Pokémon on my team as a sort of self imposed challenge and because all the competitors only use three Pokémon as well.

I battled using nothing but Steel-type pokémon, and my partner was Marnie. My team consisted of Celesteela, Melmetal, Aggron, Perrserker, Copperajah, and a shiny Aegislash.

Lmaoooo tries to battle with literally anyone, slowly walks over to Hop like "shit fine". Tbh I made a mad dash towards Ball guy in my playthru-- would have been dope if they added him. I think Allister's dialogue made me laugh the most, poor thing damn near had a heart attack. He's the embodiment of social anxiety and teenage angst.

The GST would be more interesting if it included the Sword exclusives (Bea, Gordie, and Kiara) and the Shield exclusives (Allister, Melony, and Avery) in the same game.

I really had hoped that this would be like S&M/USUM's battle tree where you are limited to a few pokemons and fixed levels. Or just equal levels in general. Would make for a better replayable fight.

Yo, props to Hop in this battle. Leon’s stupid Dragapult kept using Flamethrower on me, but Hop’s Zamazenta saved me with its critical Crunch XD. Hop even finished off Duraludon while I took out Charizard. I’m proud of you, Hop 😁

I think the galrian star tournament is fun.... here’s a tip for a level 100 regidrago! You can use breaking swipe or that other move (I forgot what it’s called) to wipe out the 2 Pokémon!
