What I find interesting is the way Rose straightens his tie and stares at the Ultra Ball in his hand spoke far more loudly about him than anything else he really did in the game.

I was half way through the game, and suddenly realized "Wait, I still don't know who the villain of this game is." And then Rose's chapter begins... He certainly doesn't seem at all intimidating or "villainy", he's more of an anti-hero whose goals are ultimately for the greater good. It makes him more realistic and original instead of being another generic "completely bad" villain like those in previous games.

Years later and I still considered this one of the most epic moments in the gameplay of sword and shield! The music was just amazing!

Wah....? Someone we thought was our friend was the villain *THE WHOLE TIME* !? What an original plot that has never been done at all in Pokemon! Except for the time Giovanni was revealed to be the final Gym Leader, N was revealed to be the leader of Plasma, Lysandre revealing he wanted to destroy the world, Lusamine revealing her desire for Ultra Space, and the Ultra Recons then revealing they were working with Lusamine. But besides those examples, a completely original plot we should all be proud of! Bravo GameFreak, you have truly blindsided us with these revelations!

I kinda knew something about Rose set off so many red flags.

The game has good music I give them that but...each time I think the many flaws it has it makes me rage and at the same time sad. How a game like this could have been the best pokemon game for everyone. But they went the cheap, lazy and greedy way.

In all honesty I didn't think Rose would've been the main villain/team boss. I mean compared to all the other team leaders or bosses he looks the most normal.

This was a fun battle in sword currently almost to that point in shield lol

Every moment of this fight was showing us that Rose seriously didn't understand what Pokemon were capable of. People douse this character as bland and move on but realistically there's so much more. Rose was the chairman of the Galar League and proprietor of all energies within Galar. He was looking out for all people in hopes that Galar would never lose it's energy for eternities onward and took a risk HE even was doubtful of, but did it for the sake of everything believing in the Champs prowess and his own research. What I love about Rose is he's not a villain, never was, never wanted to be. The moment the decision was made to fight, he lost his confidence once both you, Hop, and most likely Leon confronted him about his decision, but even than through the animations themselves we witness him he clutch himself, wanting to truly trust in his beliefs, and see a future where all is good. He doesn't understand Pokemon even mentioning that he's forgotten what it's like to battle, and truly seeing the potential these creatures have. Even afterwards realizing how much danger he put on not only Galar but every region surrounding, and turning himself in. He easily has more potential that was written off, but some meaningful moments not only his animations and current writing, but even the songs portrays someone who has no bad intents in mind. Yet, twisted decisions caused him to both believe and doubt everything hes done. I think Rose deserves more recognitions

Looking at Chairman Rose's Pokemon suits him well. Escavalier represents knight in shining armor. Klinklang and it's evolution symbolizes industrial technology, especially in Galar region. Ferrothorn represents thorns found on rose flowers Perrserker based on Viking; notorious for causing destruction. There's Copperajah his main Pokemon that can Gigantamax. It's strange that they didn't gave Chairman Rose a Bisharp. I felt that Bisharp suits him.

Rose has probably one of the most intense themes in this entire game

0:55 - I just want to leave this timestamp in appreciation of Chairman Rose's body language at the start of this battle. You can tell he _Really_ didn't want it to come to this, but he genuinely thinks he has the Eternatus situation under control _(he very much doesn't,)_ and your interference now could potentially ruin it. He doesn't want to, but for the sake of Galar, he _has_ to stop you.

Tried using this theme in the Battle Tower. My first opponent was one of the Preschoolers, so that was pretty intense. Turned it off afterwards

It's interesting to see(as far as my jumbled bits and pieces I've seen go) that Rose isn't actually all that evil. Just reckless and impatient, but it isn't like the gym challenge is merely a facade or something.

I love his stance, he looks so intimidating.

A little detail that I think makes this fight way more intense is the fact that unlike most trainers, who will sway a little or preform some other movement, Rose just stands there. No movement, no emotion, just standing there staring you down. Changes the whole energy of the fight in my opinion.

Rose: But I must provide the Galar region with limitless energy to ensure everlasting prosperity Electric Types: yeah we're jokes to everyone else too

I'm kinda curious, what exactly is people's definition of a balanced team, for a trainer who specializes with metal Pokemon. The only metal type that may have some advantage is Empoleon to counter fire types, and maybe Skarmory to counter fighting types.
