I was 8 years old and I loved pokemon. My mom passed away and I was playing through the game at the time. This song will always remind me of the shock I had when I had learned she died. I don't want to dump all my emotions and sadness into a youtube comment section but, this song means a lot to me.

This song always makes me remember the fun time I had back in Gen 5. Awesome Storyline, the PWT, the dream world, and others. I wish I can go back in time and enjoy this fun memories I experienced with Pokémon. Black and White is always my favorite Pokémon game ever.

A week before my friend died.. he played this song.. after he died I couldn’t remember the song name until now.. as my mother always said to me: “Appreciate what you have. Because you’ll miss it some day when it’s gone.*” Thank you Pokeli for helping me find this.. once again.. *my mother told me this before the Dhar Mann video was uploaded where the quote was said. This happened.. in 2017.. I still feel pain from it to this day.. Not as much as I used too though when thinking about my friend.. Rest In Peace Aaron.. You will be remembered..

When I was a kid I was super depressed, and pokemon was my only comfort, and then my mind took that away too. I went to this song to cry and grieve after the loss of a friend. Hearing this song literally has me on the brink of a mental breakdown and I'm literally sobbing rn thinking about it. And it hurts, hurts so bad... this isn't the kind of nostalgia I was looking for when I searched up pokemon.

I think one of the reasons why this song hits me so much is the fact that, one day, all of this will end, Pokemon, our own lives, we've had our most memorable nights and feelings experiencing these games, this license had been one of the most beautiful to grow with, but people will move on, they'll find new passions, this song will be part of the past, like everything else that we did, this song feels like a farewell... and a really painful one.

I've made several friends throughout my life, all of them cheated on me or betrayed me behind my back... still I don't regret meeting them, the good times we spent together, every moment, every laugh, every word I keep inside from my heart to never forget, I believe that there are good people in the world, no matter what my old friends have done, there will always be a hope, a light in the midst of darkness, after all if I am good in the midst of so much pain, because wouldn't there be someone like me out there?

When I was still a kid and in elementary school, I would always play Pokemon during school hours and when I would get home from my classes. Me and my buddy Jeremiah would always play together during lunch throughout our elementary school and middle school days. We were best friends. We would always play the new releases of Pokemon together, as we considered each other as rivals during our playthroughts. We both battled to see who had the best teams in each games, up until Sun and Moon. Last year, Jeremiah ended his own life. I still miss him, and I still think of him when I play Pokemon. This song means so much to me. Thank you Gamefreak for helping me connect to someone with music to someone who is out of my reach

Honestly, N has got to be one of, if not my favourite character in the Pokemon series. You learn so much about him despite him being a part of Team Plasma that it really makes you question his true insight on things, whether he's with or against you. You learn about his experiences with Pokemon and his relationship with Ghetsis and all the things he's been through. He really IS like a person more than a character. You wander to what will be your final encounter with N in BW in his castle, battle him, and then confront Ghetsis. The credits roll afterwards and I'm in pure amazement, though at the time not realizing that I had just fought by far one of the greatest antagonists in the entire series. I restarted the game file several times just to examine N's text over and over until I knew exactly what he would say upon every encounter. There's no denying that N is by far the most developed character in the Pokemon Video Game franchise. [EDIT]: Thank you so much for 1,000 likes. It means the world to me!

I must unfortunately admit that I have never played any of the Pokemon games, but this . . . I've never encountered a piece of music that inspires the emotions that this does. It feels so sad, but . . . also a peaceful, happy sendoff to a wonderful story. Truly bittersweet in every sense of the word.

Thank you Nintendo 3DS. Now that the servers are shutting down, it felt like the right time to come back to this song and reflect on all the memories I have of playing my 3ds, with friends online. Simpler times. I turned 18 yesterday(7th April 2024) and I will forever keep my 3ds. It’s special to me.

I've just turned 18 today. I've come a long way from being a kid who played pokemon. Im gonna miss being a kid. But I've grown up now. I recognize that I'm changing and becoming a new person. Afterall, part of growing up is being able to recognize that you are entirely different from who you used to be. You pick up new interests, new friends, and new passions. And I realize, that you should never stop improving as a person. Becoming your ideal self takes change and growth without forgetting your past. If theirs one takeaway from all of this... dont be afraid to embrace change and growth. Because at the end of the day, your past will be behind you. To learn from, and support you. Never stop growing. Never forget who you are. Because you are still you.

Not gonna lie, in B/W when N said goodbye to the protagonist, and we hear the last cry of his Pokemon before the credits roll, I genuinely thought he had the legendary Pokemon kill him. I believed this all the way up until B2/W2 when we saw him again. It makes me so sad to realize that my mind genuinely thought he had died, not gone off to be happy with his pokemon

when i was in middle school , i had a friend named ramon , he only spoke spanish but i got to talk to him , we both liked pokemon and i liked reshiram while he liked zekrom , so we would love to talk about our favorite pokemon … but one day … i heard he got covid 19 , and he was in critical condition , his parents invited me and i got to see him one last time of october 12th , 2020 before he passed away 2 days later. i was extremely sad so this song makes a very big impact on me

I came here once I found out Ash and Pikachu would no longer be protagonists of the anime. I grew up with them and saying goodbye to them feels the same way than saying goodbye to an old friend. Thanks, my friends, growing up with you made life a little bit more bearable, you saved me more than once. Watching you fulfill your dreams made me want to fulfill mine too.

I used to have one friend in elementary school, we would always play Nintendo games at eachothers house, the only games I cared about were mario games so he introduced me to other nintendo games and I was just amazed by Zelda, Pikmin, Metroid, and even Pokemon! I never really knew about these games because of the country I grew up in which didn't really have games, but.. eventually he just stopped talking to me after March break and it looked like he just wanted to talk to the "cool kids" I tried talking to him but he just kept ignoring me so we never talked again after that, it's really a shame because I wanted to be friends till the end. Kids don't bother being "cool" it gets you nowhere and it will take away the real friends who care about you. Found my White version a month or so ago. Turned it on for the hell of it, just to see what it was like. Memories came flooding back like a tsunami. I had grinded so much my whole team was a level 100 plus some more in my PC box. I had a shiny Giratina from an event that Gamestop did, got one for my W2 as well. Wow was I really 8 when this game came out? It feels just like yesterday that I picked up my first Snivy, won all my badges, challenged the elite four, and rose to the top to become Champion (many, many times.) I guess I played more than I remember, and now that I'm older it puts it into perspective. I had sunk over 500 hours into this game since it had come out, but I remember almost every second of it. I was in second grade when the game came out. Many many fond memories with a neighbor who was a very dear friend that played the games too. He moved away around 4th grade but I played on, holding onto those memories as I did. Brought some other neighbor kids into the games and I still talk to them today. I'm a senior in high school now, and one of those neighbor kids are off in college now. My old neighbor buddy moved back during high school so we reconnected. When covid showed its face, I was running out of things to do. School was a bore online, couldn't hang out with anyone (lost touch with some other friends that played as well.) Thats when my old buddy hit me up and talked about how he was replaying some of the older games. He said that he missed the way things were when we were kids, when we didn't know as much. I guess that tugged at my heartstrings a bit because I felt the same way. He told me I should play through again with him. Go on another journey. But I was scared. I didn't want to delete my first file because I didn't want to lose all those memories along with it. But I realized that they wouldnt be gone. I would keep my team with me forever in my heart. Serperior, Haxorus, Klinklang, Conkeldurr, Volcarona, and Zekrom of course, I will never forget you. But I decided to play the game again, like I did when I was younger. With all the same passion and wonder and ups and downs along the way. I want this one to be special though, different from the first. So I've begun shiny hunting for my starter, a Snivy of course. I look forward to what my new adventure brings me. Life is like this as well. I dont want to grow up with the fear that I will lose what I did when I was a kid. To the people reading this and everyone that should, using your past is what helps you continue to grow. Use what you've learned in your childhood, in your games, to help you become the person you strive to be. Don't let the past hold you back because you're afraid of losing the good. Use that to make new memories with your new friends and Pokemon. We all have dreams we want to pursue so we can become better versions of ourselves. N believes in us, believes that we can follow our dreams to the very end! I believe too. I believe that all of you will find your true calling and you will use everything you have learned to help you succeed with your dream. I'm 18 now. High school is ending soon. I'm almost done with my journey through childhood. But this also means new beginnings. I get to go on a new journey, to use everything I have learned up until this point to help me grow into a more caring and strong person. I want you all to continue your journey's too. So I just finished pokemon journeys as well as pokemon scarlet at the same time and now I'm here feeling nostalgic again. Man time really does fly fast it just makes me sad. I'll definitely miss Ash and Pikachu for real, those 2 were part of my childhood. This ost on the other hand is the only theme that makes me feel some type of way. I can relate a lot to N. He was alone when he needed people the most. I was and still am the same way, as everyone I had have all left me to rot with only my mom and dog, because I’m quote “to hard to handle” as I have a lot of mental problems and it makes my life hell. I wasn’t born with depression but thanks to everyone in my life drifting away, I now have it and have attempted to take my own life more than once. I am starting to lose hope on life and I feel my grasp on life slowly ending I need help. I have cried for 16 years, but nobody has come and I fear for my life everyday, it gets harder to bear this. My dog passed in 2021. Still feelin the effects in the back of my mind 😢 I grew up with the family dog all the way up until two years ago. First, she stopped eating. Then, she started panting. Finally, she slept for two days with only a little water to go on. She refused to eat. Finally, she was so tired she sat in bed all day. My grandparents took her to the vet, My mom and I were both texting them and then on My moms phone I saw the words "Grandpa is crying." In that moment I knew what happened. She was gone. The dog that would always catch the frisbee and chase me around the house was gone. RIP Taffy (She was a real good girl.)

I remember being a little kid. It was a summer night, and I started to play my first Pokémon game. I was fascinated by the massive world and what all of these crazy monsters had to offer. I stayed up all night and into the day playing until I passed out. I didn’t have many friends at the time so I just stayed home most of the time. I spent a whole summer playing every Pokémon game I could get my hands on nonstop. It opened me up to a whole new world of people and experiences. Pokémon has made me who I am today and I could never be more grateful for what it’s done for me. Thank you Pokémon, as well as the Pokémon community, for changing my life forever.

Seeing the announcement they're retiring Ash...

This is one of the most beautiful and important songs I will ever go through life hearing. It brings out feelings of despair that a journey has come to an end, and that maybe something has been lost along the way. Every journey must come to an end but you don't want it to. You don't want to lose those friends you made along the way. You don't want to say goodbye to that moment in your life where everything made sense. I guess that's how i feel about life and Pokémon now. I can't bring myself back to being a 12-year-old kid spending hours watching videos about Pokémon history, and facts. From Dobbs, from The Aura Guardian. I swear I felt like I seriously knew of every Poke-Tuber at the time from how many videos id watch. And... I can't go back to that. Sure the videos are still there, but I can never get back to that state in my life. There's no more waking up in that rental home and going into the room with wooden walls and sitting myself in the corner where the computer was. Sitting myself at the small desk and watching Pokemon top 10s on my tablet with my earphones in. it's still all here. Those channels are still there. I can go to them at any moment, but I chose not to. I know that I can never get that back to that position. It won't ever happen no matter how much I try. I'm an adult now. I'm about to finish highschool. And I will have to make something with my life, and I don't even know what I'm going to do. I can't just run away though; I just have to accept it and face it head on. Still, I would give anything for one more day of being a kid and getting back from school to go spend hours watching MandJTVPokevids Pokémon Talk.

I had a friend who played pokemon with me every day, until I was 9 years old. When he entered high school, he was 5-7 years older than me, he was like a brother to me. we lost contact, he graduated from college and we never talked about anything again. I don't know where he is at the moment, but I miss him a lot. Today we haven't seen each other for 6 years, what we played the most was pokemon xy, so this song is my favorite of the entire collection

Just walked into the damn house and ofc it had to be the one Pokémon song that makes me extremely nostalgic. Pokémon has been there for all of my life, and is the reason why I even made friends. Going onto ToonTown, meeting someone named Dialga, them becoming my friend and us creating stories together, giving me the confidence to talk to kids my age in Elementary… which led me to meet my bestfriend who would become my boyfriend just only two years later, and still is after 10 years. I haven’t seen Dial since I was in Elementary, they went offline about two years prior to TT’s shutdown. Not a day goes by where I don’t think about them and the huge impact they had for my life, and how much I really want to meet them again one day. Hope you’re doing well out there Dial, wherever you are, Scooter misses you
