When you realize that Zekrom's eye color matches Reshiram's flame and Reshiram's eye color matches Zekrom's bolt. They are so much a part of each other in every single way. Fascinating.
@@ladyselin35 I went for Fusion Flare, although it wasn't very effective. So when the PP ran out I had to go with Dragon breath, but zekrom had light screen which difficulted things a little
@@callumcartini it wasn't nearly as epic. As if pokemon x and y werent easy enough they give you a free mega kanto starter and free mega lucario for absolutely no reason whatsover. Also gen 6 was easily the most forgettable generation ever, i could not tell you what pokemon X&Y were about even though i played them twice.
Apparently N was supposed to have supernatural powers and be able to see into the past and the future before that plot point got scrapped, Masuda said in a blogpost this was represented in N's battle theme by the ticking clock noises.
I never noticed until a few days ago that Ghetsis' team is made to hard counter N's team. Shows that if things went out of control he could still defeat N, truly an evil genius.
So, we have abadass story about how the region was created. We have a character who is the rival AND the team boss. Actually this team has two bosses. This guy has 3-4 themes for himself. And his "father" is the most despicable person ever and literally ALMOST KILLED THE HERO in BW2? Edit: he tried to kill Lilie in USUM :D We need a second gen 5
1:00 pay attention to the panning effects from your left to right ear. It depicts the battle between reshiram and zekrom. On the left, the sound of fire, reshiram. The right, the sound of electricity, zekrom. This piece is so musically dense its hard to believe a single man wrote it!
To take a step further, in Ghetsis' BW theme, after about 49 seconds you can hear the sound of a Hydreigon using Dragon Pulse. Man, they really went all out on these two tracks.
Wynter Samuels I just finished replaying it. I strongly recommend replaying it. my word. The story is phenomenal and probably the best Pokémon has ever seen.
Wynter Samuels I heard that the second versions are more focused on gameplay than story. Also, the second versions are sequels that take place after two years from the originals which makes them quite different from them.(There are places that got removed from the sequels like route 10 ). Btw, sorry if this comment is long and useless.
N is seriously a character that changed the pokemon franchise. aside all of the fangirling, shippings etc, he was like the first experiment to see if gamefreak could add something more to the already rich features of the games - something like a great, great, GREAT plot. but, how do you make a good plot for a game? with memorable, deep characters. N talks about freedom, slavery, truth, ideals, and even makes references to philosophers such as hegel and shopenhauer in his speeches. he's an evolving character that constantly grows throughout your journey, starting from a difficult past, to a real novel-like hero. we've never had such complex npcs before. N was the very beginning of a new pokemon era. put it like this, if it wasn't for N, we may not of had characters like AZ, lysandre, zinnia, lusamine and lillie. N is a vital character and possibly my favourite in the pokemon franchise ^^
No, yinz don't know what you mean. N is mine and only mine! You try to steal him from me, and my Skuntank will slash you to the point that you are knocked out! I love N and you can't have him.
What I love about this game is the fact that the dichotomy between truth and ideals is equally applicable regardless of which version you play. In Black, where N chooses Zekrom, N believes in what he thinks is the ideal world: one where Pokémon live free of human control, and the protagonist is chosen by Reshiram to make him see the truth, that humans and Pokémon can coexist and bring many benefits to each other for doing so. In White, where Reshiram is chosen by N, N believes in what he thinks is the truth; that Pokémon and humans would be better off separate, and the protagonist is chosen by Zekrom to show N their ideal world, which is, again, that Pokémon and humans need each other and are capable of coexisting. Personally, I always found White’s interpretation to be more interesting because of the fact that N’s “truth” was built on the lies told to him by Ghetsis.
Also, I like the idea of N using the white dragon Reshiram because it symbolizes light and N thinks hes in the right. So it's like a false light, with our false darkness. I dunno if that makes sense. Basically I just like that N has Reshiram while we have Zekrom. Has a light vs dark clash but makes you question who is light or darkness.
Man, gen 5 was a real masterpiece. People hate it, the story of team plasma is something i'll never forget. Remember when I was 10 and got pokemon black. The transformation in N is what made these games engaging. Edit: Coming back to my comment 5 years later, gen 5 remains my favorite of all time.
Bobby - Clash of Clans and Clash Royale yeah i'll never really understand why people hate it so much...it has the best story of all the pokemon games i my opinion
for me personally it had my least favorite art style and pokemon. Unova as a whole wasn't very inspiring. It did have some gems, like N's Character and this theme, but overall...meh
Bobby - Clash of Clans and Clash Royale I couldn't agree more; these games with N in it is what seriously got me addicted to pokemon, and honestly, as much as i love the stuff I've seen from all the newer games I've gotten - nothing will beat my love for the unique development of both N and the plotline. I was an emotional wreck after finishing Pokemon Black!!
Bobby - Clash of Clans and Clash Royale It's just that team plasma had both good reason and good cause for what they were doing. Was it considered poorly executed? Yes but instead of making crime syndicates, or greedy people wanting their own world or to expand the land/sea mass it was well designed. But because of the "Too many new Pokémon and bad designs" it was a terrible game. Do I agree they should have tried to develop plot more? Yes but overall not a bad game
N: one of the most interesting characters in Pokémon, period. Evil, not by nature, but by manipulation and lies. Actually defeats the Champion before you, and uses a legendary Pokémon against YOUR legendary. Turns good afterwards, AND can be encountered again in B2W2! Natural Harmonia Gropius, you are one heck of a character!
Me when first meeting N: This dude looks suspicious, I don't trust weird pretentious anime men whose name starts with the letter N Me when last meeting N: This franchise will never see a character as great as this ever again 🥺
Kasino Kaiser I agree! N is my favorite character throughout any of the Pokémon games and it’s sad how people overlook Gen 5 a lot when it was honestly such a masterpiece. Pokémon White was the first Pokémon game I ever played and though a lot of other games were enjoyable, I felt like Pokémon Black and White had a beautiful concept with an amazing plot
I'm extremely glad that Gen 5 is getting the love it truly deserves, back in like a decade ago, Gen 5 was hated a lot, The anime is mediocre, sure, but that's it, everything about gen 5 is perfect. The modern internet atleast is now respecting Gen 5, but the damage is already done... however Gen 5 is now recovering from all the hate and is now getting the respect this generation really deserved.
The starters were the worst trio I've ever encountered. Two of the three were hard no's for me. Serperior's move pool was so whack as to be nigh unusable and Emboar was yet another cookie cutter Fire/Fighting type...it the first time I felt I had no choice . But...that fight with N, boy...I felt like the fate of the world was in my hands. Most moving story ever. And it didn't matter that I had heard it before. Playing it myself for the first time felt magical. I give Game Freak props for trying to make a new world from scratch, but some of the designs were off ngl, and the stat distributions were frustrating at times. But that story, man. That climactic final battle with N and Ghestis. Literal goosebumps.
the anime was pretty meh in general tbh, why can't we have the other protagonists? that'd be interesting since they have their own hopes dreams and personality, as opposed to one unchanging kid from 2 decades ago
NessMasterGengar! okay, I’m pissed N never cameo’d in Alola, because that was SUCH a great opportunity (don’t tell me this boy wouldn’t wanna check out the Aether Foundation) and Gamefreak had not one but TWO chances. I wanted him to get a cameo in swsh but alas :( now I’m just collecting gems in Masters for when he arrives
When N revealed he was the King of Team Plasma, I felt genuinely betrayed and never wanted to see him again. After he realized that he was being used and his life was a lie, then proceeded to leave on his own journey to reflect on his actions and decide what to do next and said that both of our Truths and Ideals were right and that he fully supported me............I actually cried a little bit. That was a day I would never forget. And from that point on, I've played every single Pokemon game. Because I finally realized that the world is not Black and White, there are more than two sides to every story, no matter what our beliefs are, we all live in the same beautiful world. And when we work together, believe in each other, and dream big, we can change the world.
Same i also felt betrayed but later realized he was used due to his personality of innocence, i legit found out right after the true boss even said a word of his plan
I don't remember who said it but basically it was revealed that N was letting you capture the other legendary to assert dominance. This guy's not just built different, He's built better.
I wonder how they felt. Reshiram the one who stood with truth, and Zekrom, the one who stood with ideals. As you and N faced each other, did they remember the first heros? Do you think they remember the time they were one, when the two heros planned to work together? How much sorrow they must have felt that they had to watch two children stand in the place of the former heros, making the same mistakes.
In the Adventures Manga it's revealed that through the ENTIRE Elite Four AND the Champion battle he only used his Zorua. At least in the Manga and as we've learned that doesn't stay consistent with the games.
Nautral Harmonia Gropius is the real name of "N". He is a descendant of the royal family who ruled Unova long ago. Ghetsis was also one of these descendants, but he unfortunately did not have the qualities required to be a king. So, to satisfy his dark intentions, he set out to find someone who could take him to the top of the world. That person was N, himself. It is said that he has supernatural powers, he could speak to all species in the world and even understand them. Nobody knows how it is possible, not even Ghetsis who cannot hide his admiration. Those qualities were common in the former royal family of Unova...
I wish more Pokémon games could have characters with stories as deep as N. As Pokémon is a game targeted towards children, I was blown away at how emotionally powerful N was as a character. While Gen 3 will always be my favorite generation of games for nostalgia purposes, Black and White definitely had the best story of any Pokémon game.
@@eeeeggnog._. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games were spinoffs but they had an amazing asf story. The story was flipping amazing. Black and White too. I literally loved both of them so much I can't choose-
@@EchoCedric561 Technically, N is not a Champion. He rejected the title. But he's even stronger than the Champion. This is basically the equivalent of Red's theme: a Trainer even higher than the Champion!
Shoutout to the last antagonist that actually made you feel accomplished in besting. What a great game. Thank you gen 5 for really expanding the pokemon franchise
@@BlueAizu_ Then how about this: N was a better Rival. He wasn't a sterotype of the rival, being either your best friend or a complete dick. N had a goal that he was able to meet. Befriend the legendary Pokemon and beat the Champion. And he flattened Alder. Only when he fights a climactic battle, legend against legend, hero against hero, does he truly lose. But what happens to Hop? He gets curb stomped and his dream of standing on the same stage as Leon is never realized. After catching the most powerful Galar Pokemon, what does he do? He pulls the career of RESEARCH ASSISTANT out of nowhere. Just because you catch a legendary Pokemon doesn't mean you're good.
@@tedscheett9420 Actually, Hop says he wants to become a professor because he feels like it's the best way he can help others. Sure, N is a vastly superior character in every regard, but Hop is by no means bad.
N is a very interesting character in gaming history. One of my favorites. So let me talk about him. Purrloin the Devious pokemon. *Devious* meaning, "showing a skillful use of underhanded tactics to achieve goals" . The *first* pokemon N uses in his first battle against you. This foreshadows his role as the King of Team Plasma, using his "underhanded tactics" in creating what he feels is the best future for Pokémon. But he isn't sure whether it is best, so he sets out on a journey throughout Unova, learning more about the relationship between people and pokemon. And, so he questions his deviousness, and not to long after, we meet him again in Nacrene City after dealing with the first and second encounters of the Team Plasma grunts. Though these two encounters have a slight meaning within. We first meet Team Plasma in the Dreamyard, then in Wellspring cave. *Wellspring* meaning, "an original and bountiful source of something." And *Dream* meaning, "a cherished aspiration, ambition, or *ideal* ." Fitting for Team Plasma. Since, Dreams/Ideals are perceived to be the wellspring of Team Plasma. Plasma is such a weird name for an evil team, so I thought deeper and came to a conclusion that it's to express the fact that their goals are an outlier compared to other goals. Knowing Plasma is a state of matter everyone doesn't acknowledge, but Team Plasma acknowledges it, in this case, their leaders own desires. Soon, a little girl gets her pokemon stolen, and that is when we first witness the I guess, pain of seperation, mostly through the eyes of Bianca. With the help of your two friends Cheren and Bianca, as mentioned and showed, they are opposites, but they still are great friends because of the balance you bring as Hilbert. And in his story, it's also him who will be the hero, who prevents Team Plasma, more so N, from creating a future of Black and White. Between the line of truth and ideal. One of the best rivals in the series because of their personalities, growth, and deeper meaning. Wait that reminds me, I forgot in the Bulgarian language I beleive Cheren means black, and Bianca means White. That makes my point make more sense. Moving back to N, we never see him with a Purrloin ever again, as he continues his own journey learning more about the relationship between people and pokemon, questioning whether they are *truly* happy. Lost in his desires to create a new world for pokemon. And learning the wellspring of Pokémons happiness. Which is the whole clique friendship, bondage with people theme, lol. NOW, we only battle N 5 times. In the iconic Accumula Town, Nacrene City, Nimbasa City, Chargestone Cave, and in the Pokémon League. In that first battle, N did tell us that he wanted to treat pokémon as friends, and that, is what he does. There is a pattern in the 5 battles. And that is that N only uses the pokemon that live in harmony in each of the routes. Pinwheel Forest, Route 4, and Chargestone Cave. -tympole, timburr, pidove -scraggy, darumaka, sandile, and sigyliph -boldore, klink, ferroseed, joltik Since he can talk to Pokémon. He's think to himself and say some sht like, "I could be friends with pokemon, and communicate with them better, if they are too also friends." So he catches them all and trains them together. However, in the final battle, it's different, but still the same intent from N. He has a Vanilluxe, they are two, but they work as one, then he has the two fossils who once lived together in the ancient past of Unova, then he has Klinklang, 3 in one. And lastly he has Zoroark and Zekrom, the two pokemon that bonds with him. Throughout the game, the gym leaders finished off with their strongest pokemon, but because of N's final hopes and determination in this future he wants for pokemon, he leads with his strongest, but we showed him who was the strongest, who had the better mind, who had more bondage and faith in their pokémon. Very climatic. Now, this theme is goated fr. In the beginning you hear what I like to imagine, the sound of wind flowing through the trees, and where do we see N in the opening of the game? In a forest with pokemon. So I could imagine those trees representing the beginning of N's natural love for pokemon, in that forest. In this theme you could hear heartbeats, and a clock ticking. This is the last chance to save Unova, to save N really. N does have a heartbeat and is a human with emotions and dreams, going against Ghetsis perception of N. And the cries you hear in the back, I imagine those as Reshiram's cries, rising and falling, as N battles with the truth(Reshiram/Us in the story), with the different sounds similar to the Team Plasma theme. I like to think Black is the cannon Pokémon game. I mean, you got to fight the truth against N's ideals being expressed through Zekrom. And in the story told by Drayden, there was a younger brother and older brother. Younger sought truth, older sought ideals and there was conflict. Since we are the young one, especially playing as a kid, (which is more epic), it fits the theme and story better. I honestly just played the game again, and this time read the dialogue after so long, and the game is pretty deep for a kids game. So I decided to come here, and type what I think and what I noticed in my favorite pokemon game, since it's fresh in my mind. I like to think it's more than some clique friendship themed game. So yeah, Game Freak did amazing with this one, and I hope we get to have another pokemon game like Pokemon Black with hidden meanings, and another unique villain and plot.
Dear god man,how kind did it take to write all that out? Also I heard the reason they’re called Plasma is partially because that’s what Zekrom’s electricity and Reshiram’s fire are made of and the absence of plasma causes Kyurem’s ice.
Something that never made sense to me: Everyone says that N's partner is Reshiram because they played White, but.... From an in-game mythological standpoint, it makes more sense for him to have Zekrom. N's whole thing is making his ideal world, which, for the most part, was built on half-truths and lies. Zekrom, as the Dragon of Ideals, would support him. On the other hand, your trainer is fighting to maintain the relationship people have with pokemon, which, for the most part, is demonstrably true. Therefore, Reshiram, the Dragon of Truth, would support your character. Something to think about.
It could also be that N is trying to find the truth behind the relationship between trainers and Pokemon. He says at the end of the game that, as he progressed further and further in his journey, he met more and more Pokemon who were happy with their trainers, and that went against everything he knew. At the end, when you defeat him, he realizes the truth; that some Pokemon genuinely care about their trainers. I can't really think of a way that ideals match with Hilbert/Hilda, though...
If we get gen 5 remakes someday I hope to God they KEEP Unova to ONLY have Unova mons. I don't want no fucking Gens 1-4 in it. I'd rather be ok with only Unova again or hell ONLY add gens 6-8 in it. I want Unova remakes to be a Gen with only gens 5-10 (gen 9/10 should be out when Unova gets remade) Pokémons in it so kids of that time can experience a actual NEW & refreshing era. Gens 1-4 fans by that time wont be into Pokémon anyways.
It always amazes me how genuine as an enemy N was. He's the only antagonist in Pokémon to befriend and battle with the power of a legendary Pokémon. He's fighting with Reshiram/Zekrom because they deem him worthy and want to battle. In Pokémon Colosseum and XD, Cipher uses legendary Pokémon because their hearts are shut and they are feral slaves for battle. Ghetsis controls Kyurem to battle for him and planned to control/defeat N to control the legendary dragons too. Volo teamed up with Giratina but clearly used it just to fight and defeat the trainer so he could eventually defeat Arceus itself. Others simply failed to manipulate legendary Pokémon, such as the OG Mewtwo and how he destroyed the lab and defied Giovanni. N is the only enemy who is so genuine that legendary Pokémon deem him a worthy ally and even see him as a friend.
Not only do these games have spectacular music but also an amazing storyline in comparison to other Pokemon games. Villains who are an actual threat, both in battle and in game context. Ghetsis is purely evil, the player is purely good and N represents the confused balance in between showing that the world is not black and white. The journey is not only N’s discovery of that but also something the players eyes can be widened up to.
plus it's gym leaders literally beat the shit out of team plasma except for the striaton gym leaders like it was the best moment of my entire playthrough
If I ever get a copy of pokemon black or white, I'm setting my text speed to fast right before I encounter N. So he talks e x t r a f a s t edit: I got it a while ago and am really enjoying it!
man, gen 5 isnt my favorite gen but dear god the entire progression of the final parts of these games is perfection. the elite four, your challenge being interrupted, progressing through N's Castle with that incredible theme playing, catching the dragon, battling N, and then finally battling Ghetsis. it's all just so good! so many little things stand out like the fact that N's battle theme changes to sound more intense compared to his regular theme, and the Team Plasma emblem popping up next to his battle intro portrait. it's all incredibly well done
There is nothing I want more than N to make a reappearance. There is something about his character that I am so oddly attracted to, and I don't know why. He is just that character you want to see more of. His story, his character, it’s so unique and special compared to other characters in Pokémon. N is what really made me love Unova.
I feel it’s because he was the only team leaders done right. The other team leaders like Giovanni are extremely one dimensional and are evil for the sake of being evil. N is more of an anti-hero than a villain, he’s a good person with good intentions, even though he doesn’t do good actions. (lying, manipulation) That is much more interesting and likeable then “hurr durr me evil cause I like stealing pokemans hurr durr”
@@chronikek N isn't the real team leader though, it was Ghetsis who was the true leader of Team Plasma and the big bad villain of B&W. I see N not as a villain, but more of a rival character whose ideals and beliefs clash with the player's. Its true that he was King of Team Plasma and what not but that was because he was put into that position by Ghetsis, the real villain and N's father. It was Ghetsis who was lying to and manipulating people into believing his gospel so he could steal their pokemon and rule the Unova region. N, on the other hand, truly believed in the ideals put forth by Team Plasma. He only wanted the best for pokemon, which is why he too was manipulated and used by Team Plasma for their own benefit... or rather, just his father's benefit. N has a tragic story imo
Older I got, I stopped with the anime and just continued with the game considering how they are still going for aiming the show towards 10 year olds. I mean, is N any interesting in it? N is one of my favorite characters, and I'm curious how he translates into the anime.
+Elite Reticle his goal males more sense, he doesnt capture pokemon with pokeballs he just makes friends instead so it kinda makes more sense and he takes hits to protect pokemon
N is the perfect antagonist. If you look at all the other antagonists, you’ll see that they stop being evil just because their plans were stopped. He sticks with his beliefs but changes how he goes about it.
The best damn rival you’ll ever see. Understands pokemon language King of team plasma Defeated champion before you Caught a legendary Used via manipulation Green hair!!! Team plasma is overall the best evil group, but only 2nd most powerful (team rocket is most powerful (if you dont count the original game or origins))
Team Rocket was never all that powerful outside of the anime tbh. The biggest thing they ever did was make Mewtwo and in the games that's really not harmed anyone. And in gen 2 all they did was take over a radio tower for five minutes before being kicked out? And Rainbow Rocket doesn't really count since it's literally everyone including Plasma.
Well, the first most powerful team, because father and son use freaking legendaries and Ghetsis tries to kill you with Kyurem on the secuel, so yeah, they got the price
I wouldn't say caught a legendary as much as it was literally befriending it. We catch Pokemon, N literally befriends them to join him cause he is a semi supernatural force that makes Pokemon follow him, even a legendary. It's like he has a charisma stat of 500 when the stat caps at 100.
I just noticed that you can hear static and flames in the background, representing the two dragons fighting. *These are the best Pokémon games, period.*
I'm so glad someone pointed this out, i was like: "this is f***ing insane". I can imagine them just spamming their signature moves fusion flare and fusion bolt. Depending on who goes first their move gets strengthened and i like the animation of it.
oh look it's the guy with the spearmint hair and the really fast speech pattern and now he's trying to kill me with a dragon so powerful it made a continent huh _guess i'll die_

Gen 5 may not have been the strongest gameplay-wise, but goddamn did it give us some fantastic characters. From the naive, all-loving nature-boy N, to his perfect opposite in the unscrupulous, calculating, and science-minded Colress, both of them defying the usual dichotomy of clear good and evil in their own way. It also gave us one of the darkest monsters in the series in Ghetsis, who managed to be thoroughly evil without diving into edgeland like Lysandre did. Gen 7 has given us some similarly incredible characters, but Gen 5 still has the story crown imo.
Callum Morgan Ghetsis plays mental warfare with alder especially when he mentioned alder's old volcarona. To play games with a champion is insane and so is he.
SamiF I actually agree, having now finished Sun & Moon. Lusamine and Ghetsis are kind of foils to each other. Both are monstrous parents to a significant character, but where Ghetsis was manipulative and hinged his plan on N, Lusamine was utterly neglectful. N remains my favourite character so far though.
Lusamine actually ended up snapping out of it and having a reality check, at the very least. Ghetsis just didn't care. He was a sociopath that in the end just didn't care about N at all, and was only using him to achieve world domination.
As someone who also picked samurott, I understand. Although I was the one with zekrom, Shauntal's jellicent with water absorb and energy ball still gave me and my samurott nightmares we will *never* recover from.
I played pokemon white when I was like 8 or 9 when I was stupid, and tbh, I literally mowed through n and ghetsis. I sent out zekrom first and when he fainted I had to send out my samurott. I think I had him around mid level 60s, but my samurott was all that I used and I really regret being stupid back then
The reason for why I like this music so much is because not only does it fit for the decesive battle, but also because quite literally every single little sound effect and instrument actually represents something. Every. Single. One of them. Mother of Satan! In fact, one of the sound effects in this theme (along with how Masuda explained it on his blog) is the reason behind my craziest theory surrounding N (not that I have any other ones, but oh well). Well, either way. This fight is supposed to be against someone who would, if you fail, end up unknowingly make Ghetsis the leader of the world. It's a fight hero vs. hero; dragon vs. dragon; truth vs ideal. A fight that's going to determine the fate of the world and its future. Man, GF really took their storytelling up to eleven (on pokemon standards, that is) with these games.
Sorry - I meant, could you explain what you mean by everything in the song having a meaning, or maybe link me to the blog post? And I'd also love to know this theory you have :)
Sonia is just like any other professor in Pokemon they have goals, take juniper for example she is all about the origins of Pokemon and why they exist, Sonia is about History and solving it, I honestly don't have a problem with Sonia because she is sweet and It's cool to see her understand the wolves and the brother
Man was it intense during the final battle with N. Primarily since he's the first and only NPC to actually use a title Legendary Pokémon against you (well at least used to be until Team Rainbow Rocket in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon). Man was it so awesome to battle his Reshiram with my Zekrom in the opening battle. Little known fact: Reshiram and Zekrom's signature moves, Fusion Flare and Fusion Bolt, will actually increase in power whenever one is hit by the other in the same turn.
Fun strategy for this fight: N always starts the first turn by having his dragon use its Fusion move, and since it's one level higher than yours it will always go first, meaning if you use your Fusion move it'll get the boost, forcing N to waste his Full Restore and giving you a free turn to wittle his dragon down from full health again.
@@bruhsomebodytookmyuser Those were OR/AS, right? I did like those ones bc of Mega Evolution, but in terms of story strength i still think gen 5 does it better, especially with 5.2.
Yeah, I wish N could make a return. I was hoping so with Sun and Moon, but maybe next time. (Also, love your username. I actually just finished watching Death Note a few days ago.)
I just don’t think they have as much story these days, although the common trope is that the first new gen on a console is more gameplay change focused while the next gen is story focused. (Gen 4 introducing a lot of new mechanics as far as typing and special physical and such Gen 5 having the really good story Gen 6 introducing Mega Evolution and a new type as well as making every model 3D. Gen 7 having the better story, as far as the evil team(s), rivals, etc. Gen 8: Scrapping half of the Pokémon ever. Yay. Gen 9: Literally a JRPG story (please)
Dear N, I love you for how awesome your character was, but I hate you for putting my team through so much crap. Samurott Cofagrigus Haxorus Beartic Whimsicott Sawk Just ugh.
Samurott Archeops Darmanitan (replaced by zekrom for fight) Krookodile Haxorus Mienshao His whole team was one rounded by the corresponding members The levels were from 52-61 (yes I over trained and it paid off)
Christian sharpia Ghetsis was worse. Goddamn Cofagrigus and Hydreigon. My team was Serperior, Seidmatoad, Zebstrika, Darmanitan, Scolipede and Unfezant. N's team was tough though not gonna lie.
Team Rocket: What a joke? Team Magma: What a bunch of nerds. Team Aqua: What a bunch of grunts. Team Galactic: WTF!? Team Plasma: God damn it PETA you became cool!
For Rocket, they're pretty much just the mafia... So kinda, yeah Magma at least tried to do some sorta help, even if it was dumb as hell Aqua is just dumb as hell, cuz while they are kinda cool, thier entire plan is a terrible idea Honestly, I can't disagree with ur desc on Galactic, those guys were literally insane or something and coulda caused real damage And Plasma was actually trying to really be noble (But Ghetsis just had to ruin everything and make PETA evil... Cool, but evil) And this is my unnecessarily long (Or just unnecessary) analysis of the teams you've listed EDIT: Now that I think about it, the pokemon world has a really big organized crime issue, as in, every single country or major area has a criminal organization in there
This was the battle I remember when I think about Pokémon. Everything from the set up to the metronome and the heartbeat in the background made me panic and act sloppily around N's fight. The shear intimidation of having to fight a legendary in the hands of a trainer was enough to make me extremely unsettled. Even my Pokémon seemed to show fear during the fight with most of the sprite animations becoming still more frequently during the fight. Everyone else that dislikes it is mostly because they hate the designs, but sure a pokeball for a Pokémon passes amirite.

@@Ocean_Lord_derpfish I mean, Klinklang is pretty cool but can he beat most of Gen 1? Probably not. Hydreigon on the other hand, could run through all of them with little to no trouble thanks to his wide amount of coverage
