Although not the first gym rebattle guide, but definitely more in-depth. Thanks for the video. An alternative I'm currently testing is using Blastoise with water spout and rain dance, using them especially for fire gyms.
saw you in the pokemon center yesterday, spotted your shuckle then was like oh the hat tooooowwaiiit a second. enjoying the content particularly progress/entertainment based vids i would like to see even more of, like messing with breeders and doing catch events. I would like to see expanded entertainment content based in pokemmo for side watching, think link and rargh runescape equivalent. keep up the good work
Nice video ! I use 2 blastoice with water spout ( 1 has rain dance with life orb ). I also use livesplit and treat it like a speedrun. It pushes me a bit to keep going fast for a whole hour
Works like a charm even with two Typhlosions with Quiet nature. I was just wondering if Sinnoh was not released when you made the guide. Guess I have to try out myself once I finished the region.
A small cost effective thing I could add is, instead of having to get or buy two choice specs if you don't have them already and being locked into eruption, you can just run charcoals on both Typhloshions and get the same outcome and be able to use a different move if needed. Great vid ty again!
the only issue with this is against certain pokes that 4x resist fire and are bulky u wont be able to kill them with double eruption sometimes, an example of this is mistys kingdra, i did a run once with choice scarf on one instead of specs and lost the misty fight because kingdra survived and got off a muddy water lowering accuracy and eruption damage, but its still a good budget option! just good to be aware of the downside
@@patrouski Defintely. I followed along (just the gyms) what you did tonight with that set up and did the fire type gym leader in Unova and it worked out for me. I did not run into Koga's Gengar though. But yeah you're right about bulky 4xs resist.
Also I'd like to add that rematches with gym-staff (Ace Trainers) at Snowpoint City is also worth rebattling because they give around 4K (WITHOUT AMULET COIN BOOST) per trainer and there are around 6 I believe under one roof.
My other 2 pokemon are Salamence (Intimidate with Wide Lens & Rock Slide) & Krookodile (Moxie with Soft Sand & Earthquake) for Fire Type gyms. Currently raising my blastoises with Water spout
Works best, I am using it for 6 months and the breeding was worth it. I am currently training double flygons for taking out flash fire gyms and Kingdra gyms, you rock slide for those with flying or levitate, dragon claw for Kingdra and earthquake spam for others. Easy
nice guide but it will be more efficient to do all the gyms/region, but doing your route till you can buy a fly ocarina would be nice. then go with cotonee/whimsicot(prankster),torkoal(drought), 2 typhlosion w/ at least 2x31 spatk speed pp upped eruption, 2 2x31(spatk,spd) blastoise w/ water spout, pref 1 choice specs modest and 1 timid w/mystic water(the timid having rainy day), I can do like 4 regions for 1 hr and 40mins to 1hr50 mins depending on rng sometimes i encounter a bug battling the dragon gym in unnova. Great guide btw.
Heyyy, an addition, i use Flygon and Braviary. Flygon with Earthquake and Rock Slide @ Soft Sand. Braviary with Rock Slide, Fly, Cut @ Choice Scarf. So that, you dont have to skip fire gyms, just lead with flygon and Braviary, just go Double Rock Slide or RockSlide Earthquake. Been using them ever since, never failed. Hope this helps.
@@tommyvercetti1111 yes but, all you need is 2x31 natured. Think of it as an investment, cuz im telling you, that braviary will pay for itself after a few runs.
After just finishing Kanto I definitely need to invest in getting the Typhlosion at wimsicott and torkle combo but I will try this eventually, PS I survived my surgery thanks brother

Misty now has Jellicent and Carracosta, they always resist multiple eruptions. What should I do to counter that? Edit: Oh never mind, it was just that I got an unlucky roll that time, now I managed to defeat them
I guess you could do it without replacing the Torcoal when it levels up as long as it’s slow natured, 0 speed stats. Maybe a lagging tail. Put all your points on ATK so your explosion kills the Whimsicott. Whimsicott should have the lowest defence and HP possible. Maybe give it a toxic orb? Just theorising but it should have the same result as having to get new ones occasionally.
The only issue with the torkoal getting higher level is that u end up living fake out eventually (especially with torkoals high def stat) then it cant explode after since fake out flinches obv, but thts the only issue to rly worry about, but it is relevant.
I bought my gym rebattle team with my first million accord to your videos and it worked great! In Kanto, when you talk to the guy in the 8th gym and he teleports, where does he go? I was kinda AFK unfortunately when I talked to him

i keep a krookodile in the back and he deals with them rly easily, but ik other ppl will have a separate team for flash fire gyms with water spout blastoise with pelipper to set up drizzle alongside tailwind whimsicott
Ive bought most at this point, i dont usually like spending $ on games even if its as small as 10$ just because i dont want my experience to be devalued, its pretty extreme and arbitrary but its just the way i play :)
no in my opinion, your doing less damage and hurting urself in the process, also opening urself up to getting punished by focus sashes which there are a lot of in gum reruns. i respect the creativity tho!
I spam my A key or "Z" on my keyboard not spacebar, but lining ur mouse over the move u want to select is a good way to be able to spam through as quick as possible.
Very new to pokemmo and pokemon in general, but wouldn't lagging tail help keep your torkoal as slow as possible without having to catch it a bunch of times?
Lagging tail can be helpful but the pokémon ur gonna be facing are gonna be so much higher level than ur torkoal (hopefully) it shouldnt be needed + it’s nice to have heat rock to increase sun duration in case something goes wrong. Also u should only be gaining xp VERY rarely on torkoal, almost never if u have explosion on him, for example ive been using my gym run team almost everyday for 6 months or so and my torkoal started at around level 23 and is only around level 34 now. sorry for the long response lol, TLDR lagging tail isnt bad but there’s better things u can do, Hope this helps!
I was going to ask even though this may be a bit late, but for the 2 striatum gym leaders, couldn’t you just pp up the eruption to 6 so that it would be enough for both of the gym leaders without having to use flamethrower?
you should be able to still learn the move, tailwind is a tutor move unfortunately so you have to have access to sinnoh and talk to the move tutor npc inside of any PC in sinnoh, or u can ask a friend who has sinnoh to teach it tailwind for u. hope this helps, lemme know if u have anymore questions!

bro how long u been playing im still trying to beat 3 whole regions i got kanto down but fml pk mmo is no joke sometimes and i dont know the other regions so im kinda walking blind trying to beat the regions
@@patrouski you need to do his little quest, he stands in the road near the pc. the quest is pretty quick and the gym is probably even quicker once he's back, havent met anything there that immunes or survives 2x eruption yet.
sometimes they will fake out ur cottonee so it cant tail wind, or extreme speed it, make sure to watch whats hapening on turn 1 to check, but ye sometimes complications happen, in scenarios where u can no longer defeat the gym its usually faster to log out, log back in and terminate the current session, get sent to the last PC and go back to the gym and reset up for it and try again, hope this helps GL GL
Patrouski I really wish I am even capable of even getting those 4 pokemon mainly the thyplosions I'm already broke to start with. got only 11,000 pokeyen sum and can't even defeat gyms normally any tips with just maybe even leveling up my pokemon? Or maybe even getting money without having nothing
Great questions! my best reccomendation for leveling pokemon is to get a sweet scent pokemon and an AOE attacker (something with Earthquake, surf, discharge, etc.") so you can do horde battles for good xp. @@recable6445 yes but its not enough, only around 1-2 of the gyms have a CHANCE of having a flash fire ninetails, and you just keep another sweeper in the back to deal with them, for example krookodile. Hope this cleared some things up!
Is it possible to so it without torkoal and whimsicott? I tried them for few days but faced many problems like prankster pokemons, priority moves, wobbufett, dig, ditto etc so decided to do rich trainer rematches instead. I would like to try both methods at once but unsure if double typhlosions with max speed n spatk with choice scarf would work (skipping all flash fire pokemon gyms)
hmm my main reccomendation would just be adding explosion to your torkoal to secure tht KO and then maybe change ur gym route a bit if ur having those issues. Its pretty hard to get the damage you need on certain gyms without torkoal/whimsicott, especially because on certain gyms without them pokemon are gonna outspeed your typhlosions, hit them and make there eruptions do WAYYY less damage. Or u could stick with rich NP rematches which is good as well! best of luck, hope this helped!

ye brock and nimbasa city gym have a chance to have a flash fire ninetails in this route, keeping a krookodile in the back with EQ should solve this issue 100% of the time.
