Shiny hunting has become so easy in scarlet and violet that I actually enjoyed most of my shiny hunts (with the exception of chimchar which because I did it without an outbreak it took several days of attempts getting eight shiny scorbunny until a change of location finally got me the shiny chimchar)

That shroomish trade is so worth it in more ways than one plus the trade quest registers the Pokemon as yours not a trade pokemon so theres no worries about obedience
