I love the way Gold almost bumbles through the entire game, it reminds of playing Pokemon games as a little kid and you go in with no knowledge or planning and sorta of brute force your way through
Our Place of Safety This I declare about the LORD: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. -Psalm 91:2 The plagues had grown progressively worse. God’s plague on the Nile River was a blow to everyone, but the Egyptians adapted and got by. The frogs were a horrible nuisance too. But the third plague brought physical pain that seemed almost unbearable. In the third plague, God afflicted the Egyptians with gnats. This was especially difficult, because the Egyptians were fanatics about cleanliness, but they were covered with these insects. The gnats also penetrated their nostrils and ears, which would have been very painful. Interestingly, while Pharaoh’s magicians duplicated the Nile turning to blood and the plague of frogs, they couldn’t duplicate this one. This reminds us that although the devil has considerable power, there are limitations to it. We might think that just as God is omnipotent, so is Satan. And just as God is omniscient, so is the devil. But that is not true. God knows everything; Satan has limited knowledge. God has all power; Satan clearly has limited power. Even after these plagues, Pharaoh’s heart continued to harden. So, God sent the fourth plague: an invasion of flies. Exodus 8:24 says, “And the Lord did just as he had said. A thick swarm of flies filled Pharaoh’s palace and the houses of his officials. The whole land of Egypt was thrown into chaos by the flies” Meanwhile, God intervened in an amazing way for His people. From the fourth plague on, God protected the land of Goshen in Egypt where the Israelites lived. While other people in Egypt suffered through the plagues, God protected this area. Psalm 91 gives us this promise: “Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you. Just open your eyes, and see how the wicked are punished” (verses 7-8) These are wonderful, comforting words. But they are conditional. This psalm contains a series of conditional promises that are ours if we do our part. God promises that He will protect us. He promises that His angels will be around us. But what do we need to do? We must “live in the shelter of the Most High”(verse 1) We must also “make the Lord [our] refuge” and “the Most High [our] shelter” (verse 9) When we do that, the promises of Psalm 91 are ours. God wants to be our hiding place. This means that God will protect the believer. What may happen to nonbelievers as they reap the consequences of their sin won’t happen to believers because they are seeking to live godly lives. Does that mean Christians won’t suffer? No. Does that mean Christians won’t die? No. But it does mean that Christians won’t die before their time. They will die when their day has come and not a second before. And when death does come for Christians, God promises they will be taken into His presence in Heaven. God will protect us. He will protect us on earth until our final day.
@@Bytezor8No, he didn't have a name in GSC originally, and Masters confirmed his name is Ethan in Gen 2 and 4 as that game only uses canon names and he's only called Ethan despite both Kris and Lyra being in the same game.

6 minutes in and there is so much story telling without a single line being voice acted. I've never felt so engaged with a piece of art before. Everyone feels super expressive! Thank you for making this!
You have an incredible skill of making both incredibly cute and appealing designs and also making characters that look ugky and deformed, sometimes both!
A lot of fucked up stuff happens to a lot of random characters in this, but I think those scenes shine a bit more because of it. I haven't seen a pokemon animation this unique or enjoyable in a long time (probably since Golder not that I'm comparing). This really stands out both animation-wise, and comedically. Edit: please let hoppip and ditto get their comeuppance

Did you know there is proof that Gold is a much cooler guy than Red? It's really quite simple.. Red wears his hat forwards while Gold wears his backwards. Think we know who is the king of 1990's fashion
@@gengargamer5657btw its confirmed that the games version of "gold" is known as eco, i mean just wanted to say since i doubt someone doesnt know the differences between eco-jimmy etc.
I like how this one is far more game related compared to the first given that its a much better put together game than the first (granted, thats easy considering how broken the first games are). Great animation and jokes all around!
Absolutely floored with how expressive and well-made this animation is. From the goofy expressions to the unique acting quirks each character has (like Gold licking his lips constantly), this is so amazingly done. Great work to the team!
Did- did I just watch Silver give a girl a panic attack? This video was fantastic! I especially love the art style and the color palette. It looks just like Gold/Silver/Crystal’s. You put a ton of work into this, and it shows!
Yeah, that part bugged me. I enjoyed this video for the most part, but was off put by the mean-spirited jokes. It's usually not funny when a character's pain is the punchline.
@Manglwegirl88 dude what are you even saying right now, all I said was that it was kinda weird how you mentioned trans rights out of nowhere on a reply that was just stating distaste for a mean-spirited joke, it’s really not that deep
The fact that Yurri and Xandrecos have been so consistent in creating quality content for so many years is truly something special. Most creators seem to get worse over time whereas these two animators only appear to get even better. Thank you for everything you guys do! This was another great one

I loved this, so much. I loved the weird horror(?) that would creep up every once in a while, Cyndaquil completely raging on the Pigeotto, all the bullying, the weird dreams, but I found the panic attack at 20:55 to be especially interesting. I dunno, it just feels more like real life for anything like that to happen. Like, sure it’s weird, and maybe that scene is unnecessary as some other viewers said. I honestly found myself rewatching it though. I was trying to figure out why it might be in the video. I looked up who that character was in the original game, apparently a woman who would give you a quick claw if you talked to her. So it doesn’t really solve the mystery. I don’t think it was played for laughs either, as Silver was the only one laughing in the scene (and the main characters are jerks cause their kids anyway). I hope there’s at least one more scene with the panic attack character in part 2. The scene was such a good hook to explore more of her character. The sound design in particular was 👌
Ok, the bike being a mobility scooter is genius. I really love that this series so far does not pull its punches with jokes or softens them up to be more "palatable" instead seeming like jokes you enjoyed making. Telling a story without dialogue is not easy but you also nailed it, does help that I played Gold before. Hoppips face gives me Krupp vibes (Captain Underpants). Absolutely take as much time with these animations as desired for the best quality and humor possible.
I am surely repeating what others are saying, but I absolutely love the expressiveness and physicality of every single shot, and you’re blending the game sound effects and sound effects from other sources so well oh my goodness.
@@gengargamer5657wanna google that for me? I know that both names apply and that gold is the original name, but you seem confused. Sometimes Bill's real name is Will and sometimes you might have to trust his older friends to know better.
I love how professional this is compared to the first. The storytelling and jokes are much more clever. Also, I love the Punch Out sounds used in this, they blend in perfectly!
This was such a fun parody! I loved the animation style, the humor, the music, the emotions, the everything. Thank you for creating this, and take your time creating Part 2. I’m sure the wait will be worth it! ;)
I havent seen the whole thing tet but your use of sound effects is unparalleled in yt animation , really goves your stuff a unique feel to it Edit: tgat rocked! It eas super funny, cant wait to see more
This was simply marvelous! Especially the custom sound effects and tracks were fantastic, great implementation of the actual ingame scenes with some custom sprites too.
That one scene with Hoppip and Ditto was so funny and cruel. The panic attack scene was wild and pretty realistic, you give life to secondary characters and it's very impressive ! Also big up to the sprite of Gold when he is sleeping at 14:48 Can't wait for part 2 !
@@CEDL0W Yeah, that was one instance and it was a placeholder. Outside of that, he has never been officially called Gold, and Masters would later confirm his name is Ethan in both Gen 2 and 4
@@gengargamer5657 Kris's name being on the back of pokemon Crystal's box was also one instance and that's still her name today. I agree that Ethan is his name now but Gold was the name he had for 10 years. I feel like it wasn't just a placeholder cause they would've also gave Silver a more standard name to line up better with Ethan. Or maybe they thought it would be weird if the Male MC was Gold while Lyra just had a normal name idk. More people played Gold and Silver and know him as Gold and calling him that is fine imo. It was his name for a time and most people know who you're talking about when you call him Gold. it doesn't confuse people like the Blue vs Green situation does at least. Or who knows maybe its like the Green vs Leaf situation both are counterparts to each other that appear in the video games but have different names. Maybe GSC "Ethan" really is just Gold While he's only known as Ethan in HGSS.
@@CEDL0W Except he was never officially called Gold outside of the placeholder, he didn’t have a name until HGSS, again Masters confirmed his name is Ethan in Gen 2 as well, Green and Leaf aren’t the same person in the games, and both Blue and Green are technically correct as both are officially used for the game version of Blue in different parts of the world.
You really captured the feeling of nostalgia associated with these games through sfx, colors, editing etc. I love the humor, some of the visual gags have that timeless looney tunes feel. Pokémon animations on youtube rarely prove to be this creative, entertaining, and well crafted. I’m excited for subsequent entries to this series! :)
Everything about this is fantastic. I love all the little details that show an immense level of care, appreciation, and attention to the source material (Spinarak keeping the same off-coloring from Gold & Silver, etc.), and the characters have a ton of personality. I was rolling on the floor when Hoppip started beating up the baby Pokemon.
I'm gonna be honest: this has to be one of the best animations I've seen on RU-vid in a while, and I'm surprised not many others have seen it. Can't wait for Part 2!
I feel like if you were able to colab with MattyBurito y'all would make something incredible. This is dope af. I love the nostalgic feel with the colors you've used for the animation.
mattyburrito will probably not he is busy working on a giant cartoon that will probably be his last long cartoon and only make minute long videos this is what i heard from him
Being the first video on this channel I've watched, I came into this video expecting something like vastly akin to Terminal Montage, with hidden references everywhere, relentless amounts of modern memes and the whole thing just generally being fast-paced, but what I got was something spectacular. The clever use of sound effects and fusion of semi-real gameplay with the simple animation kept me laughing every ten seconds. Hoppip is an exceedingly hilarious bully; that Day Care sequence with Ditto joining in? Fuckin' hell, I had to rewatch that like five times. Cyndaquil's character development from being a pussy to evolving and blowing up Bugsy's Gym made it such an endearing character that I was actually really proud of it when it manned up enough to finally kick some ass. The fat jokes made at Gold's expense are classic, and I love how even he joined in when everyone was laughing at that poor Miltank. This is truly an outstanding animation. It's unlike anything I've ever seen, and I cannot wait for the second part. Good on ya, Xandrecos & Golfinho, and thank you so much for the laughter. EDIT: I was supposed to type this initially, but I had forgotten until now: What the fuck was up with that scene of Silver and the panicking girl in National Park?
Its also my first video rom this channel, I expected something akin to the Pokemon Golder/Rubyer series from mattyburrito MB and it definetly gave me a similar vibe although much slower paced and without too much internent culture memes thrown in the mix.
These animations are awesome, your art style, animation and color choice are really cool and I love how unfiltered your animations are, you got my subscription!
Crystal was my first video game ever and this captures so many fairly specific childhood memories in such a funny and stylistic way :) so glad I found your channel
this was so funny, had me consistently weak throughout the entire video! genuinely one of the best animated pieces of pokemon content i’ve seen, this deserves sm more views.
The animation is great, sound design tickles the nostalgia bone just right, the pokemon personalities are fun and Gold is a likeable goofball to boot, I expect great things from part 2
this is incredibly well made, subbed almost instantly , there's a lot of dedication and love put into this animation. hope your channel blows up this stuff is great!
i really like your animation and coloring style here, your designs for the NPCs are great, and a great job is done with the music. i cannot say i have the same sense of humor as you but overall what you have done here is well executed and respectable.
i love these videos so much, it really makes me so happy to see them in my feed. also, i think it’s really cool how much these animations reference pokemon’s beta material. please, keep up the great work :)!
God I love how almost all the characters are just balls as their shape in some scenes, this is the most cartoon ever!! The sound design is so good too I love it!! Also orb vaporeon my beloved 22:29
This reminds me of animations I used to watch on RU-vid as a kid. This entire animation Made me feel very nostalgic, on top of gold being my favourite game. 10/10
i love the small character work with the lip smacking and small hand flaps, thats the shit id do as a little kid, definitely when i was in the age demographic for pokemon lmao
i haven’t felt this invested in a pokemon animation on youtube ever. i am incredibly impressed with all the sound design and how to compliments the animation so seamlessly. THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO.
The palet limitation, the original colors, the dumb fun animation, the audio, the little personalities you give every character... There's so much charm in this! You have something special here
