Anyone saying SV base is worthless is on drugs 😂 I think people are comparing it to other recent base sets, but SV hits different with basically having alt arts in every set. The artwork alone make SV base worth still opening and having a good time with.

Part of the reason that SV products are selling and moving up is everything else is at or above MSRP booster box wise. There's like 4 sets under $200 a box before the Scarlet & Violet era

What really amazes me about pokemon is that the single are all under 10 cents. Only the special timmy versions of cards have any value. It really is just collectors not players buying pokemon tcg.

Multiple times you said it hasn't been a year and this is unusual. How many sets haven't started to trend up 14 months after release? SWSH booster boxes are mostly out of stock and no longer selling at MSRP...no surprise that S&V would go up, even though outside of 151 each set is a snooze

Base and paldea evolved are the best sets. Art wise. They are both beautiful sets

Pokemon is definitely a bubble. Almost nobody plays the game -- unlike MtG -- there is very little non-speculative liquidity. Markets have yet to be tested by a meaningful downturn in US employment rates -- save your victory laps for if your value holds during times when you'd expect art values to drop. Until then, I tip my hat to market makers, of all sizes.
