Love that the game says “you finally beat Giratina” salt in the wound

“Imma beat the game with an Unown” Girantina: “Not under my watch child” “It is done. Unown for the win” Origin Girantina: “ I SAID NO!”

That transition from base Giratina to Origin Forme with the change in music is one of the coolest moments in Pokemon history! What a game!

So if I’m reading this correctly... did Volo play on Giratina’s spite towards Arceus and MANIPULATE HIM into helping him by stoking that spark of anger into a fire? DID VOLO GROOM A GOD.

I love watching this fight and just laughing at the fact no one is ever prepared for the Giratina

Something that I noticed is Volo's theme stays quiet until you actually get into the battle itself and I LOVE that

Loved your reaction on this. I had the same reaction when I got to this fight. Didn't realize that fighting Volo would go all the way to Giratina without any chances of healing your party. My party got wiped on the first try and on the second, I thought I had him and then he went to his 2nd form. That's some Final Fantasy level of final boss battle and I love every single bit of it. Hadn't been this excited for a boss fight since Sun and Moon.

I was spoiled by this fight on another youtuber's thumbnail two days after release. Very glad you put the effort to warn others! Best fight I've had in a pokemon game.

Gamefreak. Please make the next game like Legends Arceus. Especially with boss fights like this.

I find it hilarious how there are people who actually dislike this fight because it's too hard and "unfair" What did you expect from the final boss? Volo has the power of a god on his side and of course the literal devil isn't going to be fair or kind in any way

This was the most heart pounding and exciting Pokemon fights I've had in my life. The stress and statedgy I've went thru and assume most people was amazing. 10/10 fight

I honestly think this is the best battle sequence I’ve seen in a while, I managed to beat Giratina the first time with A dark void, Infernal parade combo and I just barely managed to beat its origin form with 2 Pokémon😭

This easily one of my favourite sequences in the franchise's history finally challenge I blacked out so many times & it felt so satisfying to beat this segment. The director who directed USUM which had Ultra Necrozma get it when it comes to having difficulty best game since Black 2 & White 2.

Your problem with dark void is you used agile style. Agile and strong style increase or decrease the length of debuffs, as I understand it.

I always see RU-vidrs beat everything on the first try. Nice to see people have to strategize and take time to beat something. Roger the goat

This is probably one of my favorite battles in the entire series

One big problem was when he kept agile style dark voiding instead of normal or strong style, which is why it didn’t last long enough to capitalize on it

Bro I had the same reaction as you when Giratina showed up! Lmao I beat Volo in one try, but it wasn’t easy at all! Also, it’s funny how you said “she” during the battle. That Cynthia PTSD kicking in lol but I’m glad you love Cynthia as much as most of the Pokémon community does. She’s so popular, she got two ancestors to represent her lineage in this game. Absolutely loved the video. I wholeheartedly agree man. This final trainer fight was the best in the history of Pokemon. That fucking Giratina transition was the most sick thing ever happened in Pokemon and caught literally everyone off guard. Such a challenging fight even with high level mons. This game is absolute GOAT in Pokemon franchise.

I managed to beat Volo the first time, with my full eeveelution team. When Giratina came out I only had Umbreon and Jolteon left alive, Umbreon took out its first form but when it transformed it one shot my Umbreon.. luckily my Jolteon's speed was so high I was able to get 2x turns in a row and take out its second form before it could one shot him too. It was such a close fight.

took me like 3 hours to beat, ran out everything with only my starter left standing when I beat him. Def the best fight in pokemon history.

I love your content, despite some people don't like this game and to be honest it has some defects, for us Pokémon fans this battle means everything. Absolutely the most difficult, intense and emotional battle in history of Pokémon.(without over leveling and restores max), best game since Black and White 2 for me.

Definitely a hard battle for me as well. Having to beat Giratina twice with only my few remaining worn out pokemon was very tough. I lost twice and decided to train my party to lvl 100 and even still Volo managed to faint 2 of my pokemon despite the level difference.

When you opened the menu and I saw you had an Unown letter D I just busted out laughing

This battle sequence was so sick. NO ONE'S prepared for Giratina. I'm just glad Togekiss is bulky as all heck, and I had healing items, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to 1st try it

I also ended the battle with my starter. Ceaseless Edge from Samurott taking out the last half of its health was exhilarating!

I wish Volo’s team wasn’t just Cynthia’s team (except with Arcanine instead of Milotic). Like, Spiritomb and Garchomp are fine, but why not have the others be more sinister counterparts to Cynthia’s team? Like, instead of Milotic, Volo has Gyrados. Instead of Togekiss, Volo has Gliscor. Instead of Lucario, Volo has Hisuian Zoroark, and instead of Roserade, Volo has maybe a Carnivine?
