100% agree. Its just downright disrespectful to spoil things in thumbnails. Especially since youtube will suggest things you're interested in and could easily pop up in your feed. It's so simple to phrase a title and make a solid thumbnail without spoilers and it baffles me that it is not done this way more often.

Tbf XY didn't do anything with the other rivals outside Calem and Sarena. Shauna is most definitely the worst case as she even got a starter pokemon as her own but outside of maybe having a crush on a character and being a bit scared of the main villains, she doesn't do anything

X and Y definitely didn't do so well with their characters, but at least the story in those games were better told than Sword and Shield, but not better than Sun and Moon (and not the Ultra games either).

I kind of liked the circle of friend in X and Y, honestly.

TRUTH: as much as I love X/Y, they did fumble it with the friend group a bit: these guys actually FEEL like a friend group who hangs out and pokes fun at each other and rolls their eyes at each other's antics but cares a lot when the chips are down! A+, 10/10, would befriend again!

Wont happen. They want to release new trading card game sets, new movies, new anime, new merch. And u cant do that before the games, bcs every new Pokemon and all the new Characters + Region would be known before the game drops, nobody would enjoy the game as much with so many spoilers. They will keep doing this, bcs all the merch and TCG, movie, anime etc brings them a shit ton of money. The only thing they could do is to hire more people, bcs GameFreak doesnt have many people compared to other big game studios.

Definitely won't happen. It still sold 10 million copies, if anything TPC is gonna look at this and think "keep rushing and print that money. Get the base game done and spit it out".

I'm definitely a bigger fan of that second one, the one where the past and future are blending together. Maybe it doesn't need to even be a "Legends" title, but instead a straight sequel to this one like Black 2 and White 2 were. Like, maybe combine it with something like the idea of Team Rainbow Rocket from Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, so we get a sequel where the Paldea Region is invaded/corrupted by an alternate timeline where neither Sada or Turo actually abandoned the Area Zero project, but instead just split from each other due to differences in opinion over whether they should be investigating the past or future with the time machine, leading to them both completing their own time machine, and opening portals to those respective times that they can't control, which in turn ends with them dying and being replaced by their AI counterparts and going to eat with one another, and paradox Pokémon from the past and future overrunning their own Paldea Region before that collosal distortion of the timeline start to bleed over into other timelines, including the ones that the original Scarlet and Violet took place in. Maybe with the way time is screwing up, we even get the original Sada and Turo that abandoned the project in each game return to assist (or at least recruit) the player into helping them correct the damage their respective deceased spouses have caused.

Yeah tbh both the pokemon fandom and the typical gamers blew their criticisms out of proportions. Like I feel like even if a pokemon game is good nowadays, people will still say the same negative shit about them regardless of quality (relatively recent examples of this: ORAS, Gen 7 3ds era, PLA). It's become so popular to hate on the Pokemon games that not a lot of positivity is allowed before people blow up on you for having a positive opinion of a game developed by a corporation they have a personal problem with. Like hate to say it but at least Game Freak isn't like Blizzard or Bethesda, they may be forced to crunch (which as someone in college to become a game dev still fucking sucks) but they aren't doing actual extremely unethical things towards their employees or the general public to justify the huge amount of backlash they get on the regular. The games just have issues that obviously can't be ignored and are caused by the devs being rushed, but at the same time only really lower the quality by 1-3 points at most on a 1-10 scale. The severe lack of maturity in the fanbase and gamers at large shows in the review bombing the game got upon release. These people blindly hated the moment it came out without even playing or seeing the game to its completion. I can respect someone who had problems with actual issues with the games, but most people just looked at the trailers, saw clips of glitches on tiktok or twitter (which happen in literally every game, they're just much easier to find now), and assumed the whole game was like that. There's a lot of good here too, like the gameplay loop, story, characters, music, and QOL improvements. Tired of seeing so many people be so negative, then when someone has something positive to say they get hard shut down because apparently a positive opinion is somehow less logical than a cynical one.
