I had to adjust the comments to make sure the comments weren't really from 13 years ago... I mean the latest was ten months but hey we're still here. 👻💜
it had a meaning. They covered up the tower with a radio place, so it seemed happier. But the creepier undertones in the song made it be known that things where never going to change.
This has more of a scare factor in this remix than in the 2nd remix. This is a plus for me. I think this is better for the creepiness. I'll take it for a halloween song if the little kids knock on my door.
This was always my favorite song in the Pokémon games. To this day, it remains the best song in any video game I've ever played. I actually got out my old Yellow version to listen to this. Thank you, for doing this to this song. This is amazing. Also, yeah, you can't beat Team Rocket in terms of evil. Honestly, they were the Team from back when people didn't care as much what was in video games. Pokémon couldn't get away with people like them again.
:D This fits Lavender town perfectly. It's all too often associated with the Haunter Ash caught in the Anime. It disappoints me, because Lavender Town can be truely creepy. Nice work.
@alexandercns FMA is one of my favs. "Even after I became a soldier, war still seemed like something that happened in a far off land where I couldn't see it; where someone else fought and died. It didn't seem real. I thought war had nothing to do with me. But now that I've learned that there's someone who is willing to start war..." this quote fits me so perfectly right now and in a way it makes me kinda sad, but FMA's ideas on religion and war are things i can agree with
I like how it starts out. Like its quiet and the little dinging sounds come like a spirit is coming out of hiding. And the part with Gastly's cry, GENIUS! Although Haunter might have been a bit better. 5 stars! For pure awesomeness!
@TheBearShka1003 A frequency they took out in later copies was audible only too the sensitive ears of younger children and teenagers approximately ages 7-15. The side effects of this game were caused by the pattern of the tone causing nerve problems that had involuntary actions occur. Others who did die killed them selves because nintendo and gamefreak didn't realize how far they took the eerieness of lavender town and its tower.
@finalcouragedrive1 And one of those pressure plates that, when stepped out, makes a loud 18-wheeler truck horn blare in your ear. I went to a haunted house once, and that was what freaked the most people out. XD
I absolutely love this remix. But what would've made me really tingle is if instead of the ghastly cry at the very end, put the cry of marowak. Brrrr memories!
@Godyss Time for me to find some potent speakers. Maybe I could replace all the courtains with some shred cloths, add a fan from the inside, and eerie lights.
This emphasizes the hopelessness conveyed in this song, the unending torture of sadness, weaping of one consumed by death as it awaits your presence- a widow waiting for execution. Truely horrible to behold.
One night recently, I was trying to fall asleep and suddenly this exact remix popped in my mind out of nowhere... I don't remember sleeping that night... Shows how powerfully awesome it is... And how creepy...
@alexandercns lol ikr!!! you sir get to share my medal of awesomeness.... no you get my Super Special Awesome Medal. congrats =] for the remake of the R/S/E i hope they did what they did for HG/SS with the random important trainer cameos it was nice seeing Steven Stone again... but this time i wana fight him =/
Man... you just made an already Epic song even Moreso. That, and I'm a fan of creepy-ish songs. After all, my favourite song from TS: FP is Mansion of Madness. XD Still, good job dude. And yes, TR was THE bad guy organization. Even now, when I play the game, I can still get angry at TR in ways that the other teams can't get me... except Cyrus, for how dumb his ambitions were.
@biosbftw007 OK, I think you might be confused. Silver is the red-haired male rival in GSC. Red is the playable (also male) character in RBY. You meet Red in GSC, in which he is not a playable character, but he never talks.
Lavender town was bad enough when i used to play the game, I'd shut the sound off..this.....*shivers* thank you...at least my nightmares will have good music in them from now on...
It is. If you talk to the towns people, there was supposed to be something built there back in Red/Blue/Yellow. The old man and his machop that was there building it is missing in gold and silver. The towns people speak of strange things that happen there since then. (though you see little evidence of that ingame) however. Every once in a while at night time. If you walk by the grass in the nearest area. You will encounter some basic ghost pokemon.
I think it's because it was all cheery back in Silver/Gold/?Crystal. I do like how it's consistently creepy/cheery depending on the generation, even respective to the remake, don't you think? Gives almost a feeling of perspective on what the trainer sees the town as, now that I think about it.
i remember as a kid, those ghost in the pokemon tower gave me the creeps. the fact that your own pokemon were too scared to move. that was scary for a 8 year old lol.
@alexandercns no reason just asking. i kinda lost interest during the whole D/P/Pl saga but im waiting for the HG/SS to start i like how its darker than the game, and how the trainers and pokemon fight together .i never had the problem of being hung up on feelings. im pretty good at distracting myself and just absorbing myself in what I need to get done. When I have nothing to do, I give myself tasks to distract myself with.
I would probably never want to step foot in Lavender Town if this is what played there. It's so creepy that it's awesome. If RU-vid still used stars, you'd get 5 of them.
Awesome. Kinda Silent Hill-ish, as stated earlier. If you ask me, and no one ever does, but I say things anyway, this evokes the horror that I always thought should have been prevalent when in Lavender Town.
i feel rather Solemn in the first 2 gen games, I felt rather sad going to Lavender town and I really did felt like praying for those dead pokemon. I felt even more sad when returning back to Lavender town in HG/SS knowing the fact that some of my own pokemon felt sad. That poor cubone and growlithe..T_T
Couple of months ago, I was playing my old Red game, and training my Metapod. He was low on health, and when I sent him into battle, HE CAME OUT WITH A GASTLY'S CRY.
I see dead people.....................XD This is such a freaky remix! If I played this in the middle of the night, I think I would have nightmares......and did it just say, "Bury me?!" O_O
@helldozer17 Not to mention the fact that a Kangaskhan's skull is sloped, whereas the ones that Cubone wear all have a pronounced snout/nose. @James89B Now that I think of it. you may have something there. Though not impossible, it does seem improbable.
@AlexanderBarton It goes on the fact that all kangashkhans currently alive at any one time are female and not that all kangashkhans as a species are female.
@mavrickindigo Ah, I remember now. He asked specifically, "Why are you here if none of your Pokemon are dead?". Oh Gary/Blue/Green, always fucking with our minds. R.I.P. Raticate
I love the first generation of Pokemon .... for its Creatures, the basic story, the mangas, the TV series.... and the creepiness o_x There should be a Pokemon game for the more mature kind of gamer, with all kind of creepy and odd stuff that you could think of Pokemon..
