Heya, it's me! My favourite Grass Type is a tie between Lurantis and Chesnaught. Chesnaught was my first ever Pokémon, so I hold a ton of nostalgic attachment. Lurantis is a really cool reaper lookin' creature, and the shiny is amazing too. (Plus, Contrary is just busted.)

fun fact: the nuzlocke challenge is named after a Nuzleaf from the first run of its kind (the guy who made the OG comics called the challenge runs "Pokemon Hard Mode", but the other name stuck more). The Nuzleaf was named Locke, after the LOST character. He did not make it to the end, but his legacy lives on in the very name of the challenge. so yeah. the LOST name theme for this run fits even more than it appears, actually. i just think that's neat!

I didn't even make the connection at first, but I loved those original comics so much. Locke would keep coming back to offer advice and eventually Locke was a puppet of Mewtwo?! They were so good.

My favorite Grass type is and always will be Torterra for 3 reasons. One, I was able to pretty much solo most of Diamond when I was a kid with one, two, I'm a sucker for mythology and loved it's world turtle reference, and lastly, turtles are easily in my top 5 favorite animals.

When it comes to grass types, I’m particularly fond of Grovyle and Rowlet! No particular opinions on shiny Grovyle, but I absolutely love Rowlet’s shiny, the mint green is so good.

Losing a team member to a Torkoak is pretty fitting considering the theme. An almost literal Smoke Monster. Not getting a Nuzleaf seems like a missed oppritunity given the history of Nuzlocke.

I agree, but Nuzleaf isn't available in Sapphire and I though I needed a water type at the time. It might be doable with Ruby though. The 4th gym would just maybe be a slaughter.

I love shiny nuzlockes. Every time I play shiny only. I feel pain and effects from the loss of a loved Pokemon. It also makes you love your Pokemon so much more because when they are gone, they are gone.

Highly recommend pkmn fused dimensions. Shiny rate is 1/400 and really cool fusion monsters from existing mons. New base stats, evo methods and even some megas.

Bulbasaur, with it being my favorite pokemon. It’s so useful, especially in OG gen 1. It’s huggable, and my sleep schedule died months ago, (typing this at 11:47) so Sleep Powder would be great. And just look at that smile!

I've also started a grass monotype challenge in Omega Ruby because I love Treecko and its evolutions, but it's not the best choice of the starters, so I wanted a good reason to use it (btw I'm currently stuck in the flying type gym wish me luck)

In a mono type run I completely agree grass is one of the worst. It's got so many weaknesses. But in a normal run or even a regular nuzlocke I say it's q good staple type Especially pokemon who get early growth sleep powder and leech seed. Personally I love grass types. Not my favorite that goes to ground or poison But easily top 5 typing for me personally. Also great video

Ah I'm trying a Grass Nuzlocke in Pokemon Moon. I am up to the point to fight Totem Salazzle. So far I have Dartrix, Bayleef, Petili, Formantis, Bellsprout, and Eevee until I get back to Melemele after obtaining there Charizard Ride Pager for Leafeon. I also plan to get the Tsareena line after beating Mallow and once I beat Olivia I can then go and add Roselia from Ula'ula Meadow.

Before I finish the video, I did this challenge, albiet with no shinies, and my final team was Sceptile, Craydily, Breloom, Leavanny, Cacturne, and Ludicolo, so I'm curious to see what his final team will look like. (I got Leavanny after the National Dex cuz that's when it's available and you get the NatDex before the end of the game)
