I remember my shiny palkia hunt. I decided to name them freedom after the agonizing several days of hunting. I can't imagine any longer, but I've easily spent a month hunting a shiny rockruff

As a shiny hunter, I just found it funny when you initially thought Piplup would be sub 50 hours. Also, you were pretty lucky with Dialga. I hunted Palkia in a normal playthrough and went over 7000 resets trying to get it. All within a similar amount of time as your hunt... I really need a different hobby Lastly, I wish I had been around for that, cause I still need to get at least one shiny from the Grand Underground. I'll probably do that after I finish getting everything I can from the 3DS before Pokémon Bank potentially shuts down. Gotta have priorities when hunting 😅

When I was shiny hunting piplup. I saw six shiny birds, and after 3000 resets, I finally got my shiny.

I started my shiny only run on November 11 and I was shocked getting my shiny Turtwig on my 10th try. I still haven’t gotten my second shiny as of now and I barely have time to play. I’ve been in Eterna Forest for 3 months.

Resetting this game for a shiny turtwig broke my micro SD card early. 2,904 resets finally caught it, saved my game and about a month later had to replace the micro SD because installed games would crash randomly

I spent 48 hours SRing for shiny Dialga in Brilliant Diamond (3695 encounters) so oooof man I feel your pain! I can't imagine going for the starter though, sitting through the cutscene each time sounds brutal 😬

The shiny Starly on the 12th reset is wild, and the complete opposite of my recent Terraria Rod of Discord grind; it took me 1935 Chaos Elementals killed, at which point I had a 99.21% chance of obtaining at least one Rod of Discord in that amount of time - giving me a 0.79% chance of it taking that long.

Highlight of the video was definitely catching Swedish Gible in a Swedish ball. This seems like a huge hassle. You have far more patience than I, good sir.

actually for the pokeradar you just need to see every pokemon, so as long as you battle every pokemon you can get the radar......which would me you'd need to beat the entire game without trading

When I played shiny pearl it took me only like an hour to get a shiny Chimchar, now im realising how lucky I was

I spent from the day the game released until late 2023 for hatching a shiny Gible and I lost it when my Switch got fully reset. RIP Cars 2.

I hate shiny hunting in this game specifically. From always getting screwed on the Radar chaining, to ruining my Cresselia hunt over 5000 encounters, and 60 hours, into it. To put it into perspective, I'd only do about 100 encounters a day, every day for about 2 months. Discovering I somehow messed up along the way and now the Cresselia was hard-coded to one stat build and non-shiny... broke me.

HGSS is only a quick run if you’re okay with any starter. Now try getting a shiny entei/raikou🙃😅

Linkus, you did something different than all those other shiny run videos you showed, you didn’t use speed up. Everyone else always uses speed up and they make the game go 2 or 3x faster so they can do it quicked

in pokemon violet when the charizard event came out and we got him i was like i need shiny charizard so i got myself a japanese ditto and started gettings eggs, and on my 17th egg i got a shiny charmander, thats the luckiest ive ever gotten, and my 5-6 shiny i have ever gooten in all the pokemon games ive played combined

Wouldn't the chance in the starter shiny hunt be 4096 ÷ 2 since both pokemon have a chance to be shiny and you lost the coin flip? I think it's the only time you could "half" the shiny odds (I guess other than double battles?) since it's the only battle in game you have a chance to have either pokemon be shiny
