My mind has been fully blown from this trailer, so I don't think I have any words for it.

I personally think that "Alola forms" just mean different variations. Not like you can choose to make Vulpix an Alola Vulpix, but kind of like how there's the European Bison, and the American Bison or Darwins Finches. Kind of like adaptation and stuff like that. So you can still get a regular Vulpix, or you can catch an Alolan Vulpix.

basically the Alolan forms are the pokemon adapting to the region :) just like in real life animals adapt to the change in climate :)

It seems like Pokémon Sun & Moon are going for Darwin's Theory thingy. A same creature can live on different places, but they will have differences between them because of the environment (e.g. African elephants vs Asian elephants). So, in Alola, bc of the very different landscape compared to previous regions, some Pokémon have changed forms to fit and better survive. Pokémon Sun/Moon? More like Pokémon Darwin!

The Z moves kinda remind me of the special moves Blast Burn, Frenzy Plant and Hydro cannon, just not limited to starters, and of course one for each type.

This reaction was great ^^ Not sure if you've read up on the Z-Move thing yet, but to activate it, the Pokemon needs to have a move that matches the type of the Z-Move you want to use, and needs to hold the respective Z-Crystal. So for example, my Noivern in X could potentially unleash Inferno Overdrive if it was holding the fire Z-Crystal, because it knows how to use Flamethrower

At the end of the day, Pokemon is 20 years old. I commend that they are flipping the formula and adding so many crazy mechanics, typing, abilities etc. We have all come to expect the same adventure time and time again with Pokemon so a change can keep things fresh for this region and make it stand out from the rest.

I have an idea, the Trials are actually the means you get Z-Crystals from, given you get the Z-Ring SOOOOO early on in the games. It's basically with the Island Charm you get from your Mom in screenshots how you get around the islands, and explain why they are pushing the Z-Crystal Merchandise (they're the new gym badges!) If so it means the first SIX are Normal, Fighting and Electric with Hala a Kahuna who focuses on Electric Types, than Grass, Fire, Water on Akala with the Kahuna probably one who focuses on Fire Types given Baile Oricorio. If I am correct than the first two sets of Z-Crystals are are the later half of Akala (with a Poison, Rock and Steel Trial Captain) and than on the Big Island you are facing Bug, Psychic and Dark Type ones. It also means Big Island's Kahuna is a Psychic one with the Guardian Deity a Psychic/Fairy and then the last one is a Ghost/Fairy on Poni Island. It's also probably that there's 3 Trials on Melemele with 1 Grand Trial, 5 on Akala with 1 Grand Trial, 6 on Big Island with 1 Grand Trial and just 4 on Poni with 1 Grand Trial. With their being a Champion you probably have to beat you legit have 18 Trials, 4 Grand Trials AND a Champion Trial to go through before beating the game, which is CRAZY but possible. Plus it makes sense. Maybe Trials are indeed sacred rites and Alolans value ALL Pokemon, meaning all Pokemon Types get a Trial Captain that's kinda like their ambassador. Then you have the Kahunas who I guess elect the Trial Captains from previous IC-goers with one kinda like a protege, maybe Sophocles being Hala's as Hala felt he wanted to groom somebody of the next generation to lead Alola in a mix of natural and artificial. Of course the Kahunas are also the ambassadors of the islands being chose by the Guardian Deities themselves, which is why they are so important. So it's Guardian Deity chooses Kahunas, Kahunas choose Captains and the Captains watch over their type specialty's totem Pokemon as Kahuna watches over the Guardian Deities. Maybe Zygarde has a role as the Totem Pokemon have "Aura Flares" and there are now Z-Crystals/Z-Rings.

Dancer adds the dance move to your turn, on top of the move you made before or after the ability activated. So you're essentially using 2 moves in one turn... I'd imagine in Double battles, if everyone uses a dance move (assuming pokemon isn't defeated before then), you copy them all in addition to using your own move, so Oricorio could get off 3 dance buffs + it's own attack in one turn... but that's a near impossible scenario anyway

Oricorio is like the different finches on the Galapagos islands that Darwin discovered and you have to go to the different islands to find these different birds. Pretty rad.

I like that how in the Alola region pokemon have to adapt and change to survive similar to how the animals on the Galapagos Islands had to adapt and change in order to survive. Oricorio is very similar to the finch on the Galapagos

Oricorio just revealed what the other colours that the other three islands are associated with. The first typing of the respective guardian as well, fire/psychic/Ghost, each with a secondary type of fairy :]

Only thing I'll talk about pertaining to the games this time around is the four people you'd have to battle in the games this time. It is a new "style" or "system" than the more, well-known eight gym leaders we're all used to. But I feel that the Pokémon company is taking into consideration the islands that they're working with this time around than they usually do. Yeah, they paid attention to certain locations in other games for relevant points in the storylines, but I feel they're doing more than just that here for Sun and Moon. Where as, instead of just having your eight leaders and then an elite four, you have four leaders, one champion at the "end" and the then more lore and story to focus on throughout the entirety of the game and islands

Its a lot to get used to but I am so hyped tho!!!! THAT SNOW FOX ALOLA FORM VULPIX AND NINETALES IS EVERYTHING!
