Ovi, listen. I need you to tell this theory about Looker. In one game around x and y, You see that Looker left a note saying that he was going through a cruise via boat to investigate a far away organization from around the world. In Omega Ruby, you see Looker washed up on the shore of the Battle Royal and having amnesia with a MEGA STONE. Also, you may explore a WRECKED CRUISE SHIP in the game, with notes about someone arriving to search for something. Also, in Pokemon Sun and Moon, you see Looker at the inn after you beat the game. Since the only way to get back to the Alola region is by boat, he must have come that way to investigate Team Skull. Looker is also seen saying he knows a good bit about Alola from a booklet while he was coming. You can find some cabinets on the wrecked ship in Ruby with pamphlets about a certain region. So, In x and y Looker took a ship to get to Alola, it crashed in the Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire games, and then he got back to Alola to stop team skull by Nanu's orders, and take down the Ultra Beasts. Well, that's my theory. If you could make a video about it, thad be nice or comment if you like it!
CandyEvie's video titled Top 10 Easter Eggs in Pokémon Black, White, Black 2, & White 2 states it for #3 on the list Sorry for mentioning someone else's channel but maybe you can make a collaboration so that it isn't so bad ._. X/
Spidre99 What if after capturing the Seven Sages in the post-game of Black & White he only confiscates it, "killing" the Audino seems a bit dark =l also there's the theory that the games released before XY are set in a different universe where Mega Evolution isn't possible BUT I do see where your coming from =]
Poor looker... He must suffer extreme PTSD after losing his memory and partner... I can see why he refuses to get another partner and put his life in danger which can be seen as a death wish...
Maybe he found a mega audinite to try and mega evolve an audino to heal his crogunk but he didn't have enough time and it died or he could've even released it after he almost killed it
In the manga, it also confirms that Looker has a Croagunk. Correct me if I’m wrong, I think it was his only partner Pokémon. They are an underrated duo
sad season one music caught me off guard and reminded me of when one of my friends moved away and never visited me again and he was the person who taught me about pokemon and we always battled with pokemon every day i miss him so much..... *starts to tear up a little*
I'm a fan of the Time Lord theory. I mean, Audino's pokedex entry in White says "It has a radar-like ability tounderstand its surrounding through slight sounds." (Another Pokemon he was seen with in the anime was Ampharos. Remember the glowing tail.) And look at Croagunk's colour scheme. The two Pokémon he had a direct connection with in the games. The Sonic Screwdriver and the TARDIS. The act that he became friends with many player characters could resemble the companions. Then there's the fact that you find him on a beach in ORAS. Doomsday anyone? And of course the Eighth Doctor had amnesia after his regeneration.
Wow! This is a really good theory. I feel like he lost his pokemon at sea. Remember in Black and White, Looker was always on that ship in the post game in Castelia City( I think) gotta look on thay but yeah, just another thing you can add And so the timeline for Looker is Platinum > Black/White > ORAS > XY
+SpeedBoostGamer ORAS/RSE takes place at the same time as RBY/FRLG and DPP takes place 2 years after that and BW take pace at least 10 years latter then XY is said to take place at the same time as B2W2 which is 2 years after BW now ORAS and XY are in a different timeline but since it seem similar events happen it each timelines i with the events of both timelines  he shows up in ORAS after falling off the St. Anne (in gen 1 there is a guy who said he was a member of the global police on the St. Anne) then over the course of 2 years he is found by the global police and rejoins them (weather he has his memories back or not idk) after 2 years you (he could get the Croagunk during this time or he had it before his memory lose) meet him in Platinum and then 10 years (he could have also got the Croagunk during this time but im not sure about that) later in Black/White and somewhere during the 2 years between BW and XY it dies since its implied the Croagunk was really important to him it could be because it was the thing who was always with him after he lose his memory and he form a great bond with it
I have a theory on what happened to Looker's partner and why Looker ended up at the Battle Resort. Keeping in mind that ORAS takes place at the same time as Red and Blue where we first met Looker. I was playing through ORAS when I came across a PC that told he heard a splash when he was swimming, further down the beach I met Looker. Keeping will the time line and the fact that the Saint Anne is sailing around the Pokemon world it is a safe bet to say that Looker and the Saint Anne are connected. My theory is that much like your rival's Pokemon in Red/Blue, Looker's Croagunk died due to its injures from Team Rocket on the Saint Anne. I believe that in a desperate attempt to save his partner, Looker jumped overboard with Croagunk in his arms, in hopes of healing his pokemon. Sadly due to the weight of his partner and him being exhausted from running Team Rocket he was not able to jump far enough away from the Saint Anne and hit his head against the ship, which at that point lost conscious as a result he lost his grip on his partner. From here it is safe to say that one of two things happened. Croagunk either drowned because of its injuries and not being part water type; or a Sharkpedo smelled the blood and attacked, killing the Croagunk. But why did Looker jump overboard on the Saint Anne? I think it was because Team Rocket had destroyed Croagunk's Pokeball and was chasing him thus making it impossible to use the Audinite that he had or put Croagunk back in his Pokeball where he would have been safe. I think that if this theory is true then it could help explain why Looker doesn't have any Pokemon with him because it was his choice to jumped off the ship. It was his fault that Croagunk died because he jumped. Please tell me if this Theory is any good.
Great video as always. I thought the same thing. I wonder if Looker's memory loss incident and washing up at Hoenn has anything connection. It seems odd for him to be there just for a mega stone that any NPC could have given. I think the next game will expand Looker's story even further.
+Lucien Diame Unfortunately, the reason he said it doesn't make sense in the timeline is because Platinum (where Croagunk is alive) takes place after ORAS.
This changes everything about the Pokemon timeline. During DPPt Looker still has his Crogunk but during post-game ORAS Crogunk theoretically died. RSE=ORAS is placed 3 years before DPPt, 3 YEARS! So in theory in the Universe where Mega Evolution exists ORAS events are much closer DPPt?
Great video! Damn I should start paying more attention to what is said in the games I always seem to miss things like this. It's really sad as well. Anyway keep up the great work
Looker is actually an engineer, he's the lead engineer and also the president of a company that works with various metals and performs metal treatments... to make the parts stwongerrrr...
I did see this Pokémon fan film once where one of the hero's team members was shot in front of him by an agent of the evil organization of the film. Maybe Looker's Croagunk (Toxicroak?) met with a similar fate.
Another sad thing about Looker is that in ORAS, he gets amnesia, then never is cured, and just sits on a bed for the rest of the game. The worst is that he gives you Audinite. Audinite. Audino. I dunno. I don't know. GOD DANG IT, HE HAS AMNESIA! OF COURSE HE DOESN'T KNOW! BUT DOESN'T KNOW WHAT EXACTLY!?!?
well some people thought that the looker that lost his memory is a prequel to his appearence in pokemon platinum because of evidence in the s.s. Annie by his evidence in the ship he must have went over board and he found the audinite while in sea. Btw your theory and your story about looker is sad and I almost felt like tearing up.
I saw several people pointing out how ORAS took place before Sinnoh events, but that brings up an interesting theory. If he lost his memory in ORAS, then is it possible the reason he always stops to correct himself when giving his name (er... code name) is because he doesn't remember his real name? He may have joined the Interpol after they investigated his mysterious sudden appearance at the island, and stayed with them since he had no where to go? It's possible he just got Croagunk when he was assigned to Sinnoh, but it's also possible the reason he took the loss so hard is because that was his new Starter. D8
I think it might of been the UB mission, it's stated (I think) by Mrs (insert forgotten name here) in the SM post-game that there was a mission involving a "faller" who presumably died during said mission, it all mostly depends on when this mission took place, and when the UBs were discovered.
Mabey looker was on a mission to save an audino which could meg evolve and it was being used against its will and then when he was confronting the audino, he got the mega stone off it but then the people controlling it used a bomb or something and then they were blasted into the sea, they were caught in a strong storm and he then his partner sacrificed himself for him by protecting looker from a savage sharpedo. He then hit his head on a rock or something and got amnesia. After washing up on the battle resort, he remembers what happened and then feels like it was his fault that his partner died and so he carries none of his own pokemon.
Looker plain old doesn't know his past. Chronologically, his first appearance is in ORAS, which takes place at the same time as R/B/Y (alternate universe aside). He is injured and doesn't remember who he is. That's the real reason why you never get more than his 'code name'. He doesn't know himself. That's how I always took it, at any rate. I haven't thought about it in a while, though.
+ZeoViolet If you look at one of ovis other video about looker he shows a character that on the St anne that is probably looker. And the st anne sunk in the season 1 anime, and in ORAS he washed up on shore with memory loss. something probably happened when the ship sunk
+ptb559 That wasn't what I'd call Looker! Looker is a distinct person in the anime in his own right-he appeared near the end of the Black and White anime saga. The games and the anime are distinct continuities. Japanese storytelling styles differ from the US ones. There isn't a strong desire to be spoonfed and have everything explained by the end. The writers know it to keep character portrayal consistent, but they don't feel the need to weave all those details into their works. To be a lifelong amnesiac is a difficult thing in its own right-just ask my mom. (She was in a car accident when she was sixteen and her car was struck by a drunk driver; coma for six months and a lifelong amnesiac who had to start over and relearn everything.) I've always felt that Looker restarted his life, joined the international police, lost a trusted partner and hasn't had one since. His odd speech patterns are due to the fact language isn't his forte, and we don't know where he's from. I do agree that his story seems to get sadder the more we know about it.
(my theory) the events happened in order than a legendary pokemon felt sorry for him, deleting his memory and putting him in a alternate dimention/world, ultimately giving him a new begining. im stabbing in the dark here
in sun and moon, nanu says that him, looker, and some girl were on a misson to kill a guzzlord. looker decided not to kill the guzzlord at the last second, which ended up killing the girl. geez, that's dark. a life wasted due to looker...
Looker, A man of mystery. An agent of the international police. Perhaps, during one of his missions, he was forced into a spot where either he or crogunk could survive. He chose to let his partner live, put crogunk took the penalty, and let looked live. Now, Looker blames himself for the death of his beloved partner. A grief that pains the heart forevermore.
I always thought his Croagunk was shot or something during a mission. I know it´s a bit dark, but there are guns in the pokemon world, and I can see some criminal organisation make use of guns. Just not the organisations we met during the games, because kid friendly games.
I know it is not cannon but I was watching a pokemon sires on Netflix that each episode were 2 to 3 minutes long and Looker did use a crogunk to help with the heat stone thing than the crogunk never came back or at lest he uses it. Than an episode came with th looker and Ema (the mind controlled lady) and he has a growleth but he never mentions or even looks like he has two pokemon. So maybe his crogunk did die....
This is amazingg If I am right oras happens before the team galactic incident right? But since he lost his memory dont u think he forgot he has a partner?
