I hated that the Kanto region actually experienced a war, but it was never really explored.

Pokémon Generations implies that in the Old Chateau the butler (the old man in the dinning room) poisoned the food, and in the game you find an antidote in the trash can in the near-by kitchen. So at least there's that.

Pokémon always throws odd or incredibly creepy things in their game without elaborating on them. The Old Chateau, “You’re not the one”, Ghetsis in general, the Ultra Beast worlds, Mewtwo’s creation to an extent, all of it has little to no elaboration by the game, and THAT is how you make something truly scary.

I’ve always thought the girl with the Drifloon in Alola was the same girl from Valley Windworks in Sinnoh, who was excited about the Drifloon that shows up on Fridays. She never read Drifloon’s Pokédex entry and got a little too comfortable with that Drifloon, letting her guard down…

I assumed Looker lost his "funny accent" because Unova and Alola are both based on English-speaking regions. When you meet an ex-Team Rocket member in Unova, they also speak in a "funny accent".

The creepiest event in all of Pokemon to me is the Strange House in Unova B2W2. It's both one of the creepiest and saddest areas/events in all of Pokemon.

Rotom//Old Chateau: Cyrus has a diary in the Eterna Base that references when he was a young boy and he met a strange Pokémon in the forest/woods. He became good friends with the Pokémon who liked hiding in motors, until one day a *STRANGE ACCIDENT* happened, when something terrible happened to Cyrus's father and sister. Cyrus hated the Pokémon, and ran away from his home. *[Cyrus's Grandfather ALSO mentions he should've brought Cyrus to live with him in Celestic Town after the incident, but couldn't bear to see his grandson's pain.]* *[[ALSO ALSO, ACTUALLY ACTUALLY, The Diary of Cyrus AND the "Secret Room" of Rotom Appliances are located WHERE? Within Team Galactic's Eterna City HQ.]]*

There´s actually an explanation for the Lumiose city ghost girl. Basically, it was all Hoopa´s fault. There were two girls. One of them got trapped on an elevator because of Hoopa and died while waiting for her friend (that was trying to find Hoopa again or someone that could get her out of there). The friend tried to get help for her and told her to keep listening the elevator to know when the help will come but she couldn´t find any help because she got transported to the Hoenn region. There´s a message in the train station in gen 6 and an npc in the ORAS remakes that prove this connection to Hoopa.

I believe that the picture with the moving eyes was confirmed to be a Gengar that you could encounter when you inserted a GBA cartridge into your original DS. Also, the Lumiose Ghost Girl could be encountered at the various hotels in Kalos after you first encounter her.

I know it’s not in the games, but Mewtwo “owned” Pokémon in the First Movie. It was mainly to prove his power, but he did have clones of all 3 of the Kanto starters

I think the most solvable mystery here is what those "Google Images" are, as in, someone actually digging up the files and tracing their origins. Back in the N64/ PS1 era, there were some stock textures and sounds used in a bunch of games.

An even bigger mystery: Why did Rotom use the Legendary music and why did it have the battle transition?

The Guzzlord story was so interestingly told in the anime. Dia, a person who lived quite happily in Alola, had his region attacked by a monstrous Guzzlord. For years he tried to get his home back and had to live in it's ruins, even getting the companionship of Zeraora. It's a pretty sad thought that this innocent dude as well as so many others suffered dramatically cause of Guzzlord. I'm just glad Ash was there to help him out. Arceus knows what would've happened if he didn't.

The Sinjoh Ruins are probably the absolute CENTER of the Pokémon World. ... It's located to the northeast of Johto, the southwest of Sinnoh, and Northwest of Kanto...

My headcanon with the Lumiose ghost girl is that she might have been involved with Flare. I don't have any solid evidence and it won't explain her ORAS appearance, but the Hex Maniac you meet in Hotel Richissime is speculated to be her, and the message of the train signboard is speculated to be for her, "I'm going to wait for help. Wait in the usual place." Like, she may have been running and hiding from someone. I like to play with the idea maybe she was a Flare grunt who had second thoughts, voiced them to someone she thought she could trust, turned on Flare and might have been wanting to break information about their plans, but was tricked into an ambush, where she was killed? Honestly, it sucks that we never got Z to explain what was up with her.

The Lumoise Ghost Girl: There's another NPC in Kalos, waiting to hear the elevator, she's a Fairy Tale Girl/Hex Maniac as well. There's a "Ghost Girl" in Hoenn (ORAS), in Mauville City who is waiting for the elevator who tells you "You're Not the One..." Another girl waiting for the elevator appears in Unova, BW/B2W2 who tells you to be quiet, as she is trying to listen for *"her"*

Kalos had so much potential, and it’s sad that it never got another chance🙁

Interestingly, the Victini mystery seems to have finally been solved recently, as of me making this comment. People were wondering about the lack of a Victini event for a long time in Sword and Shield, despite it being present in the game, I believe since its launch. Sword and Shield were released in late 2019, and the Pokémon World Championships were planned to take place in mid 2020. I believe this is when there were plans to distribute Victini. However, in March of 2020, COVID-19 hit, and Worlds had to be cancelled due to lockdowns. That year's Worlds, along with the Victini event, were likely postponed to 2021, however the situation hadn't improved at all, forcing them to again cancel Worlds. Finally, in 2022, with vaccines being commonplace, Worlds could be hosted again, and we finally got Victini. I'm guessing Victini was cut out of the main game because the developers wanted to save it as a Worlds event.

“NASCAR 2005: Chase for the Cup isn’t that good of a game” made me spit my drink out. Best laugh I’ve gotten from RU-vid in ages. It’s good, but it’s no NASCAR 06: Total Team Control.

There's also a mysterious message behind a sign inside the Lumiose Station, something along the lines of "I'm going for help. Meet you at the usual place".

I believe Ghetsis was also a former member of Team Galactic which explains the orbs. I clearly remember a grunt in pokemon black & white 2 talking about how they we're a member of team galactic which had disbanded, so they joined team plasma. This was in some room where u needed a password to continue through the base

I think it was mentioned in OrAs (and maybe the originals) that the sea people (who founded Pacifidlog) sealed up the Regis. Now, there is a chance they're the same ones who founded that last town we go to in Alola.

One from Galar could be what happened to Sonia in the Slumbering Weald, before even meeting her Hop mentions her going there as a child but coming back disoriented, and multiple times when the subject of the Weald is brought up she mentions being uneasy with it but being unable to place why, and is shown to be anxious to return later in the game. Whether the reason for us never finding out what happened to her was an intentional mystery or just wasted potential is up in the air but personally its a favorite of Galars unknowns for me.

I finished Sun and Moon but never did quite complete USUM. So when I found out about the Guzzlord encounter I was pretty surprised. It totally gave me chills when I saw what it did.

For the Sinjoh Ruins Mystery and the connection between Arceus and the Unown, it's stated in one of Arceus' pokedex entries that it shaped the world with its "thousand arms". These arms are implied to have been the Unown, as more often than not unown are conduits of power that can be heavily influenced just by simple thoughts or wishes, as shown in the third pokemon movie when they're literally commanded by a little girl.

Victini event dropped in SwSh recently, so got the Victini stuff sorted :D

there's also a hidden message behind a sign in lumios city, it says something along the lines of "i'm going to find help, hide for now and run when you get the chance, meet me here"

We just got a Victini drop in Galar and quite the timing since you mention Victini in SwSh and a Victini distribution.

I wish they would've kept adding haunted houses in the newer games. They were fun to explore, but I guess they thought the younger audience would be too scared *...my first pokemon was blue and I was in grade school and never had nightmares about lavender town*.

I always found the abyssal ruins in Unova quiteb interesting lore-wise. That and the implications of the timing of all the bad days the world had 3000 years ago

The mansion in Sinnoh always gave me the creeps. I am curious how they will make the ghost girl and butler look in the chibi form.

10:52 Actually, what happens in the Ultra Ruins is explaned in the same area. There's a lot of little snippets of infos you can here explaning why the entire earth population left and Guzzlord being here. What happened was that a Power Plant exploded, leaving a lot of toxic waste around. Seems like it spread out across the whole Earth population to the point where everybody needed to fly to space in order to save themselves. The Pokemons that were left here died from toxic wastes and the only specie of Pokemons that could actually survive the toxicity of Earth at this point was the Guzzlords cause of their ability to being to consume anything. But even the Guzzlords were dying from food poisoning, leaving the lone Guzzlord we find and capture, kinda savin its life. If I remember correctly, the human in the suit was left here to take care of Guzzlord and you capturing it means that his job is done. I dunno what happens to him after that but that's the whole story of the Ultra Ruins.

Looker having amnesia is the biggest Pokemon mystery to me Since him the way he got amnesia was very similar to how Anabel got it, maybe Looker's a faller too? Also not mainline, but the group that Grovyle and the player works for in Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky is only mentioned once. We know they're tasked with saving the future and that's about it. I think that player from PMD1, Gardevoir from PMD1 as well and Umbreon/Espeon from PMD3 might be part of it, since the player turned themself into a pokemon in PMD1 to save the world and Umbreon/Espeon use the Entercards which they use to teleport to the area with Kyurem

Some more to consider regarding the ghosts of the Pokemon Tower in Lavender Town: As I recently learned checking some stuff online for a comment on a different video... Cubone can appear in the Pokemon Tower as a wild Pokemon. That in and of itself isn't weird. What is, however, is that it also appears as a Ghost to be identified by the Silph Scope. Cubone isn't even a Ghost-type, and only that specific Marowak is listed as being a dead Pokemon. So why does Cubone appear as a Ghost as well? Well, beyond the likely obvious technical limitations making it easier to just have everything in there appear as a Ghost and need the Silph Scope, then keeping that for the gen 3 remakes for consistency (couldn't tell from looking it up if that's the case for Zubat in Let's Go, though, and haven't played enough myself to really know). So only in the gen 1 games and their remakes, you need a Silph Scope to identify Ghosts in a specific area, some of which aren't even Ghost-types, but all of which can be caught like normal and used as normal once properly identified, unlike the special Ghost Marowak in that same area, suggesting they aren't Ghosts in the same sense it is...

It's not expicitly stated but it's heavily implied that Aster died while training to become lorekeeper, and that it's the reason why Zinnia had to take up the mantle of becomming Lorekeeper in her stead. One could take the whole scene where it is revealed who Aster is as implying that whe is missing, but I think with the scene showing a starry sky implies that she has passed on to the next life since a starry sky is acossiated with the heavens and the heavens are acossiated with the afterlife. I understand that the starry sky is only present if the scene is triggered at night, but there's a whole other set of meanings acossiated with the scene when trigggered during the day.

The 'Alien' in Sun/Moon is a mystery that has already been Solved, as it was one that had spanned several Generations: A man travelling through the Alolan Desert at Night was visited by 'Aliens' - we don't find out what they really were - and given supernatural powers to deliver to those worthy of them. Travelling around the Pokémon World, he found them in a group of Friends in Hoenn whose generosity knew no bounds. When those friends grew older, they chose to transfer the powers into a completely Ordinary Man, transforming him into the O-Power granter (can't remember the name off-hand). After distributing the powers, the Original man lost much of his memory, and wandered until finding his way back to the Desert the Alien Encounter started...

I want to see a Ultra Beast Lusamine max raid battle in Sword and Shield. This would be a Lusamine that succeeded her in her mission.

Ok guys, here’s a theory about the trainer’s school girl. We know from character designs and possible leaks that Gen 9 may have a school theme. Since it is in Spain/Portugal, we can assume that her knowledge of english would be limited. So the theory is that she is in some way related to Gen 9’s storyline and this was a teaser.

I think Arceus was the architect of the Pokemon universe and the Unown were the builders following Arceus' design plans. In short, I think the Unown acted as Arceus' '1000 arms' when it created the Pokemon universe.

Alola: There's a diary in the school that gives more light to the ghost girl. A Hypno (likely the same one you encounter while solving the mysteries) used to pick up the girl every day after school, until she was presumably whisked away by the Drifloon. Galar: ...Really? That's a bit of a disappointing note to end on. So instead, I'll say something about Paula. Once you've delivered the letter, you can find a Reaper Cloth from where she stood. Yup. She was taken away by a Dusknoir.

Cinthya has all that knowledge because her entire family has been studying the legendary pokemons of sinnoh for ages.

The Guzzlord thing the Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon games really unnerved me. It was really dark. Didn’t expect a global apocalypse to make its way into a Pokémon game. And it’s one of many reasons why I love the Alola games so much. I mean just think about it; this Pokemon destroyed the whole planet! The ones that didn’t escape via space craft probably died and who knows what those casualties were? And with this being a mirror image of the world you just came from, it really showed you what could have been if you and your Pokemon didn’t stop Guzzlord in the original Sun and Moon games.

Always thought Jirachi was in the wishing rock in Mossdeep city. Wonder if you'll mention it in this video? The girl making wishes. Or Altering Cave that I know now what it was meant for but why leave it in the game?? So many dead ends in the games where you felt like something should happen. Something more amazing or neat secret. Then just falls flat.

In Sinnoh, the room with the glowing red eyes, if you have fire red or leaf green in the slot and got the National Dex, you get a chance to encounter Gengar.

Another super important thing about the Sinjoh Ruins is that it's the only way to get the Griseous Orb, and by extension Origin Forme Giratina in HGSS. If you pick both Dialga and Palkia you've essentially screwed yourself.

You forgot to mention the wild Gengar in the Old Chateau. If you approach that purple painting and grind wild encounters while the face is gone, a level 17 Gengar will eventually attack you.

9:10 Actually, Oranguru and MewTwo are pokemon that have used other pokemon in battle, in MewTwo's case while mind controlling Nurse Joy and with Oranguru without actually catching it, but, I think there are also other examples too

Although its not quite a mystery I thought the letter to frank from paula in gen 8 was a nice nod to ghostly mysteries in past games. We can deduce that paula passed away as a kid but her ghost got us to deliver her letter. She's not aged and is gone so clearly a ghost.

There is also a ghost girl in Hoenn! In the elite 4 of all places she appears in the corner of your vision for a few frames on multiple occasions when the cutscene for the ghost type elite 4 member plays out. The chair being one of those locations!

The victini mystery is one in sad about. I wish he was in the game. I want gf that do something like that again with a legendary that’s hidden really well and we only know it’s somewhere in the game because of data mining.

Let's not forget the mystery of unova where Darkrai killed a whole family and an abra.

So my theory on the channeler trainers is that Lavender tower is acting as a conduit. You see it a lot in media, giant tower acting as a lightning rod for magic or spiritual power. The best example that comes to mind right now is the Tattered Spire from Fable 2. So with that in mind, and that lavender town appears to be somewhat of a holy ground given its relation to dreams and the dead, the tower could act as a conduit for the Ghost type Pokémon and their power, which allows them to possess the trainers within. It's a long shot theory at best but that's my thoughts on the matter
