2:50 "with 9 players left there is a 40% chance that one of them has a better hand than you" How do we do the math on that ourselves?
@Bowling_Dude
@Bowling_Dude 2 года назад
I'm not good at math but. I assume you take into account that if 10 players are playing, a total of 25 cards will be dealt, or 1 card shy of half deck. assuming dealer doesn't burn cards. based on that and the notion that you have 13 cards with 4 suits each you can deduce the likelyhood of the hand. again, i'm not good at math.

How do you figure out what percentage of better hands someone has?
@Logan619ine-i5q
@Logan619ine-i5q 3 года назад
How did it go from 40 to 16% and how was it 40% in the beginning sorry I’m new to the strategies of Texas Hold’em and Texas hold ‘em in general. also doesn’t the big blind go last? He just has to bet first right?

I'm a year late and I'm sure you know this now but it's higher because there are 9 hands to have something better instead of just 3

GREAT video. I am often dealt KJ and QJ UTG and I have a tendency to fold both of these hands when faced by a 3-bet by the cut off or the button. Would you say that a hand like K9 suited would be more stronger on the cut off or button? Especially with the potential to flop a flush draw? Or in less common cases the nut flush itself?
@kennygpokerstrategy4917
@kennygpokerstrategy4917 3 года назад
For sure you can play a wider range of hands the later your position. Your range should be much more narrow when you are in an early position like UTG and have so many opponents still to act behind you.
@homokiller9255

@@kennygpokerstrategy4917 but why? the people I play with largely play the same regardless of position. We are pretty new though
@kennygpokerstrategy4917
@kennygpokerstrategy4917 2 года назад
@@homokiller9255 when more people could enter the pot after you act you need to have a better starting hand to be able to battle so many opponents. Multi-way pots are much more difficult to win than heads up.

Great video I just want to add you don’t beat lose aggressive by playing tight lose aggressive beats tight you actually beat lose aggressive by playing passive similar but not quite the same thing passive is kinda just mega weakness. Tag will get smashed by lag and lag looses to small ballers

question: does the SB start every round?
@kennygpokerstrategy4917
@kennygpokerstrategy4917 2 года назад
The player to the right of the big blind is the first to act preflop. On the flop, turn, and river the small blind or the first player to the right of the button/dealer acts first.
