Not only scared, but badly. He raised, the guy called. Then comes a flop, he's out of position and decides do lead with a height bet. The Guy shoves and he's basically on a position where he hás no informaton about the strength of the hand. Kind of put himself in there. But hey, everything seems easy from my couch
For once not clickbait! This truly is the most poorly played hand of all-time, given that it basically decided the WSOP Main Event in 2007. Yang was an incredibly loose player and the odds that he had either KK or AA were extremely low. And if he did? Well, so be it. You still have to jam with queens preflop against a maniac. And then to call pre, lead on the flop, and then fold? Just epically awful. Childs is absurdly pot-committed by then, and holding a very strong hand. Had he called, Jerry Yang would be an obscure poker player and Childs might be World Champion. All that said, give credit to Yang for completely outplaying Childs here, although I suspect he thought he had the best hand when Childs didn't shove preflop.
He could’ve flopped an set tho? After that flop it’s 5 hands he’s losing to. Playing for millions with abs stack behind u. Easy lay down. But if half of his stack is in I call.
His bigger mistakes are getting up to talk to his dad (breaking the one player per hand rule) and then the big drama, and then showing what he folded.....
You know…. I actually don’t blame him for laying it down. Pocket queens does not affirmatively beat pocket jacks. It’s only a higher chance that queens will win. He was risking a lot of money too.
